“Chang was wonderful in watching Mia, who immediately seemed at ease with her. Chang was able to get her to relax and eat some of her food and also treated Mia to a pup smoothie bowl that she enjoyed. We also appreciated Chang's prompt responses to our messages and all the pictures and updates she shared. We're glad we found Chang on short notice.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 10 years old - whether it be my own, my neighbors, or my roommates and friends. My late grandma LOVED animals, growing up we had ducks and rabbits and birds (oh my!) and she definitely made sure that type of love lived on through me. I love providing warm and welcoming environments for all, leading me to be extremely organized and detail oriented. I’m currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your furry friends! I’m available every day from 10 AM to 6 PM for walks and drop-ins, and can watch during the day my own home weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM. I have an extremely clean, organized, warm and puppy-proofed house with Fillmore Park Trail right in my backyard, often taking my own dog for long walks on it! Long Branch Elementary School is also behind me, where I often take dogs to play on the fields there if they have anxiety in park spaces (bad experiences with other dogs). I frequently go to Shirlington dog park otherwise. If I am caring for your pet in your own home, I will tidy up the space as well if needed (I am a firm believer in respecting other peoples spaces and treating them better than my own).
About: I have over 6 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including regular long-term clients who trust me with daily routines, walks, feeding, and basic training. I live with a 5-year-old neutered Shiba Inu and understand the needs of sensitive, independent, and high-energy breeds. I’m experienced with leash manners, focus exercises, impulse control (waiting at doors, taking treats gently), enrichment games, and basic commands like sit, down, stay, and leave it. I’m calm, patient, and very attentive to body language and comfort levels. I also have experience traveling with pets, including in-cabin flights and long road trips and know how to keep animals safe and relaxed in unfamiliar situations. I work from home as a freelancer, so I’m home most of the day and can give your pet consistent attention. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to accommodate last-minute requests, puppies who need frequent breaks, or pets who prefer having someone around. My husband also works from home and takes care of our own dog, so I can fully focus on your pet during their stay. I live in a clean, calm apartment in a pet-friendly building. Our complex has a small private courtyard area for quick potty breaks, and we also go on regular walks in nearby parks. For your pet’s comfort and safety, I have: • a dog crate (optional, if your pet is crate-trained) • a carrier for small dogs • a variety of toys and enrichment activities • basic pet first-aid supplies • a separate quiet space if your pet needs downtime I always follow your pet’s routine — feeding schedule, potty breaks, preferred commands, and any small details that help them feel safe and comfortable.
“Amal was a great host for Fozzie. She was communicative throughout the day, sending pictures and updates, and we felt very comfortable with Fozzie in her hands!”

“Kerstyn was great today with our recently adopted pup Ginger! She made her feel right at home and helped create a fun environment especially with her dog Freya who she played with. I’m sure we will have Ginger go back to visit soon!”

“Jena was so wonderful with my dog Hazel! Hazel is a very nervous dog with separation anxiety and she made sure to keep me updated throughout the day with messages, pictures, and videos. She was very easy to coordinate with and we had a great initial meeting over zoom. Would be happy to have Jena watch Hazel any time!”

“Tali had the best day with Anya and her dog Scout! Tali was instantly so comfortable with the both of them. Anya kept me updated during the day and was very responsive and flexible. I got lots of pics and videos from her day. I felt completely at ease leaving my pup with her!”

About: I have taken care of many dogs, cats and birds for the past 30 years as a happy animal lover and rescuer. I love nature and animals alike and am happy to speak to your beautiful doggies in Spanish or in English. I am a proud owner of a Snoodle and a Calico cat. I live in a spacious condo in Arlington, VA that is surrounded by beautiful parks and trees where your dog can enjoy plenty of fresh air. I love taking walks and enjoying the outdoors with animals. I previously worked as a hair dresser but now want to focus on my true passion, which is caring for animals. I hope to meet your doggie and to play with him or her soon!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and volunteered at a local animal shelter during high school and college. I was responsible for training my family’s dogs (lab mix and goldendoodle) basic commands as well as potty training and crate training. I also have prior experience dog sitting for neighbors and friends. I recently moved away from my family and am definitely missing doggy love! I’m currently between jobs and am doing an online, self-paced class in the mean time, which means I have all day to take care of pups! I would love nothing more than to spend my free time hanging out with your dog. I live right next to a big dog park and several great walking paths. There are always friendly dogs out and about near me. As a former student-athlete, I am responsible, disciplined, manage my time well, and will make sure your pup is well taken care of!

On weekends, I offer walks by appointment and house sitting, giving your pet consistent care and comfort while you’re away. I know how much trust it takes to let someone care for your dog, and I don’t take that lightly. Before any booking, I love doing a meet & greet to learn your dog’s routines, personality, and comfort needs, it helps me create a calm, consistent environment where they feel at home. I live in a cozy one-bedroom condo with no yard, but dogs get plenty of outdoor time through regular walks and potty breaks. I choose safe, quiet routes and tailor each walk to your pup’s energy and comfort level. My goal is always to make every dog feel safe, loved, and completely cared for, whether we’re out exploring or relaxing inside.

She kept me updated with videos, which was so reassuring, and Nandi looked incredibly happy playing with Winston and Bauer. Highly recommended, and I would definitely love to book with her again!”

Clarendon-Courthouse dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alexis was a lifesaver for us and took great care of Charlie on short notice. He was communicative, attentive, and sent updates and photos that gave us real peace of mind. Charlie was clearly comfortable and well cared for. We’d absolutely trust Katie and Alexis with him again and highly recommend him.

From the pictures Hermes appeared to enjoy hanging out with Taylor’s cute pooch. Even though Metro delays meant I arrived for pickup later than expected, Taylor did not complain. Thanks for looking after our furbaby(hope he did not shed much- we had combed him in the afternoon).

Tali had the best day with Anya and her dog Scout! Tali was instantly so comfortable with the both of them. Anya kept me updated during the day and was very responsive and flexible. I got lots of pics and videos from her day. I felt completely at ease leaving my pup with her!

Leila was amazing!! She took wonderful care of my dog Mila, sent updates and photos, and made the whole process stress-free. My dog came home happy and well cared for. I would definitely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!

Jie did a great job taking care of Zoya, our 3-month old golden retriever puppy. Thank you for the patience! Jie gave us frequent updates throughout the day and make sure Zoya is comfortable at his place. He also provides feedback that’s very helpful for us to know where we need to focus on Zoya’s training in the future.
