About: I’m a proud dog dad to Rambo, my Golden Retriever, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my everyday life. Raising him has given me hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, basic training, leash manners, and all the attention and care that comes with being a dog owner. I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors, including dogs that can be reactive in certain situations. This has taught me to be patient, pay close attention to body language, stay aware of my surroundings on walks, and adapt my approach to each dog’s individual needs. I understand that every dog is different. Some love long walks and constant playtime, while others prefer their space and a calmer environment. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, preferences, and any specific instructions you provide. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else. I’ll treat your dog the same way I’d want someone to treat Rambo—with patience, attention, care, and plenty of love. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine with Rambo, my Golden Retriever. My days already include walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of time dedicated to him, so caring for another pet fits naturally into my schedule. I’m also flexible and can plan around your pet’s routine and needs. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and the owner’s instructions, whether that means walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, or just keeping them company. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. In my home, pets get plenty of attention, walks, and playtime, and I always make sure they’re introduced safely and comfortably to Rambo.

About: There are many amazing dog sitters around so I won't try to set myself apart. I will say I've been taking care of dogs all of my life. I'm deeply empathetic, patient, responsible, respectful and will treat your furry friends like they are part of my family. I see it as an honor to spend time with them as they bring immense joy to my life, and I hope to impart a bit of joy to their lives too. I am self employed from home and with it comes a great deal of flexibility. Even if my posted hours do not align with your schedule, please bring to my attention as I'm sure we can make arrangements. I defer to the owner so that I can better understand expectations and dog tendencies. My approach is to take things very slow and cautiously as well being and safety are top priorities.

About: My parents owned a doggy daycare and boarding place for dogs - I would watch over 40 dogs and ensure dogs never got into fights. I also have pet sat my neighbor’s dogs and cats and did drop in visits. And back in NJ, I always visit and look after my parent’s dog Bailey who is a yellow lab! I have a part time job, but I am available to do boarding, house sitting, and daycare from Friday to Monday! Dog walking and drop-in visits are anytime except 10 AM to 2 PM during weekdays. Side note: I live with a female roommate and my boyfriend likes to sleep over on weekends. Both of them are comfortable around dogs and cats. I would love to meet you and your pet beforehand to get to know you both and learn what needs to be done! In general, for client visits, I will always check in with your pet by giving them pets and/or scratches if they prefer. I’ll check to make sure they have enough food and water or feed your pet right away. After, I’ll go on a short or long walk for dogs. And of course, extra pets/scratches once your pet returns phone and double checking that the door/house is locked.

“It was so easy to communicate with Amanda - quick responses to my messages and we are all set for a meet and greet, then she looked after Daisy today. She has a really cute ground level apartment right next to the Ballston Commons, and it has access to a fenced in shared yard for bathroom breaks. Daisy takes a moment to warm up to new people, but she quickly befriended Amanda and it took some effort when I came to pick her up to get Daisy to leave her curled up spot on the couch next to Amanda. ❣️. About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years- I am great with all breeds and have a knack for training puppies (and older dogs too!) I am working from home and live right along a beautiful pet friendly park! I go on walks and runs throughout the day so love taking pups out with me! I ensure dogs are well taken care of and have experience administering different medications to dogs (including allergy injections) and following dietary restrictions or other needs. I show a lot of love and affection to pups and will keep them occupied and hopefully burn some of their energy playing and going on walks/runs!

About: What makes my service unique is I only accept one client at a time—since no other animals are ever present and I work from home full time, your pet gets my undivided attention throughout their entire stay. I was a pet parent for many years and I remember the anxiety I felt during the rare times I had to leave my Holly with someone I didn’t know. My anxiety about leaving her got worse once she got older and needed meds that had to be on time and in the correct quantities. So I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to take excellent care of your pet. The best way to ensure the best possible experience is by giving them my undivided attention. I am happy to accept last-minute first-time booking requests as well as accommodate late-night and early-morning appointments and drop-offs. Your pet’s day with me follows the schedule you provide—so meals, walks, and playtime are structured to match what they’re used to. I make sure they have plenty of interaction and downtime in a quiet setting. You can tell a lot about someone by how well they care for their pet, and I think of all my Rover guests like my temporary pets. Almost all dogs (and cats!) like me right away. I don’t know why, but it has been that way all my life. I think probably because they pick up on my naturally more positive personality disposition. Several of my previous clients have mentioned in their reviews how quickly their dogs take to staying with me, so be sure to check them out! They will give you a better idea of the level of care I provide than I can.
