I’m on a gap year before starting medical school, and I was recently lucky enough to receive an offer. Right now, I don’t have any work commitments, so my schedule is completely open. That gives me plenty of time to focus on something I genuinely enjoy. Pet care fits perfectly into my week because I can give each pet lots of attention, keep a flexible schedule, and make their day a little brighter while they make mine brighter too.

I live at Arlington in a very pet-friendly apartment building with a build in dog park, which makes it easy and comfortable for visiting pets. I have a one year old Samoyed who loves to play with other dogs, and a 4-year-old Ragdoll who is very relaxed and used to having other animals around.

I always want to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable, so it helps a lot to know a few things before they stay with me. Please let me know about any routines, quirks, or special needs your pet has. It’s also helpful to know if they have any reactivity, separation anxiety, or things that make them nervous. I’d love to know their feeding schedule, potty routine, favorite activities, and whether they enjoy playing with other dogs. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make their stay feel like home.
A typical day
I like to keep pets active and happy throughout the day. I usually do two thirty-minute walks plus plenty of potty breaks. At home, we play lots of fetch and other games to burn off energy. There’s also plenty of petting, relaxing, and attention throughout the day.

I have a lot of free time right now, so your pet gets plenty of attention and never feels rushed. I’m also very patient with dogs. I raised a very reactive Samoyed, so I understand how to stay calm, give them space, and help them feel safe. Whether your dog is shy, energetic, or just needs someone who “gets” them, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

Had a great experience with Fengyuan providing daycare for Marigold! Got lots of photo updates during the day and she made a new friend out of Chicago 🤗
My dog had a great time at daycare! Fengyuan provided regular updates throughout the day and I felt comfortable leaving Flynn in his care. Pick up and drop off was quick. Flynn came home happy and most importantly tired after a fun day. Would definitely book again!
Shadow was happy when I dropped her off and when I picked her up. She received cuddles and was super content on the pictures. I highly recommend Fengyuan!
