When boarding, I'll be with your dog 24/7. I love hiking with dogs. I lived with a happy German Shepard for 13 years. Now my job requires extensive travels, so I can no longer have a dog of my own. My wife and I dog sit and foster whenever I'm in country just to have dogs in our lives. I have dog sat for dozens of friends' dogs. I can teach your dog a range of techniques, from basic obedience at crosswalks all the way to Search and Rescue commands. I foster puppies with Wolf Trap Animal Rescue, and have extensive experience with different dog breeds at various life stages. I believe a tired dog is a well behaved dog, so will work to maximize our exercises. I like to take vaccinated dogs hiking, and will do in house pylon runs with yet vaccinated puppies to tire them physically. We then work on commands and games to exercise the dog mentally, or else they get bored just like us.

Jack and his wife were able to take Leo in for last minute boarding because another sitter fell through. I couldn't have chosen someone better to watch my reactive, protective German shepherd mix. Immediately upon meeting Jack, Leo acted like he was seeing his long lost best friend again. During Leo's stay it was clear he was living the absolute best life. Puppachinos, play time, so many walks, cafe stops, making friends. Jack goes literally above and beyond. Leo can't wait to stay with him and his wife again!!
Jack and his partner were fantastic with my Yorkie-Poodle mix. He got multiple walks a day, lots of play, and even came home with a new trick! I got lots of photo/video updates and a piece of mind. I will rebook again soon.
Jack did a fantastic job with dog sitting my puppy! He was really great about sharing frequent updates which was not only fun to receive but also gave me peace of mind! He took great care of her and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a responsible and experienced individual to take care of their furbaby!

Schedule
I only dog sit when I do not have in-office work responsibilities. I live between Riverside and Central Park, so I will take your dog walking at least four times a day in those parks.

Safety, trust & environment
This depends on the client's wishes. I have worked with dogs that roam freely around the house, and pups that are undergoing crate training at night. You let me know how you'd like your dog trained and I will follow instructions.
A typical day
I live close to the Potomac Overlook hiking trails. I will take vaccinated dogs there to work them out physically. Then we will play some hide and search to engage the dog mentally.
