About: I have had pets all my life most recently, my German Shepherd, gunner who I had from a puppy up until he was almost 9 when he passed last year. He had Addison’s disease his entire life so I’m used to giving medications. The last year I have watched my friends and coworkers dogs twice, and I absolutely loved having an animal in my home again to take care of and love and play with. I work a full-time job five minutes from my house and I work Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 and my job is very flexible for me to be able to run out if needed. I am always home and available at any time. I also have 2 boys age 15 and 18 who are with me half the time and the other had they are with their dad. I live in a townhouse and I have plenty of walking paths and grass and fields all around me and a fenced in deck that your pet can go and sit and send themselves out on and watch the people walk by

About: I have owned many pets from dogs to cats to bunnies to even a snake. Throughout my life neighbors, friends, family, and others have consistently relied on me to watch and take care of their pets. I also volunteer at animals shelters in my free time and have fostered kittens in the past. I currently work part time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am happy to accommodate specific schedules. I am very respectful of other people’s spaces and only hope to make your pets as well taken care of as possible with the instructions given.
“Sarah was excellent with Chase. She followed his routine carefully, communicated clearly, and handled everything with confidence. Chase is a senior tripod and needs a bit of extra support, and she managed his let‑outs, feeding, medications, and mobility needs without any issues. We had an unexpected power outage during our booking, and Sarah immediately stepped in with solutions to keep Chase safe and comfortable. She was flexible, dependable, and proactive throughout the entire situation. Chase was well cared for, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. We will absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend.”

About: I have been taking care of all kinds of animals since I can remember! I grew up on a farm and worked for other local farms, taking care of animals ranging from large dogs to barn cats. My own dogs are high-energy, intelligent breeds, including a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd, that I have trained myself. I also had a beagle who had many medical problems that required extensive senior care. I am available and flexible anytime on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for pet care. I am less flexible on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but may have options if need be. To ensure a safe and trusting environment in my client's home, I will always be extremely attentive to the animal's needs, while having a fun, engaging time! I will also be sure to alert my client if anything is wrong or out of the norm for their pets.
“Again, Heidi helped us to take great care of our cat. Our cat loves her and really enjoyed her care and loves playing and cuddling with her. In particular, we also enjoyed to get Heidi’s daily video updates of our cat. Thanks!”

About: I stand out because I offer not just love and attention, but real experience caring for pets of all ages — from playful puppies needing training to senior pets requiring extra patience and gentle care. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet like they’re my own family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because even though I attend college and work on Sundays, my mother — who has just as much experience with dogs as I do — is home full-time to help ensure pets get constant love and attention. Together, we make sure no pet ever feels alone or neglected. I stick closely to their usual routines to help them feel at ease. If a pet enjoys being around other animals, my cousin often brings her friendly dog over to keep them company. If the pet prefers being alone, I make sure no other dogs are around during their stay. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and follow all care instructions carefully, giving pets the personalized attention they deserve.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
