About: Hello! I’ve had dogs and cats and pets of all kinds since I was a kid! So it’s over 20 years now 🥲 I have 5 years of experience as a volunteer for my local shelter, fostering kittens and dogs. I’ve cared for sick and skittish animals. I’ve personally had mostly small and medium shelter recuses, but I’ve cared for all types, big or small! I’ve had 3 cats for the last 10 years and I’m a certified cat lover 😻😻 I’ve also looked after guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even frogs, so basically if it has fur, fins, or a tank, I’ve probably fed it at some point. I’m excited to look after your fur babies as well! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I keep a flexible, full-time schedule so I can be available whenever care is needed! I’m available for overnights, regular check-ins, and walks whenever your pet needs them, including weekdays and weekends. Whatever routine your pet is used to, I can work around it!! Since I care for pets in their own home, I can keep their routine exactly as it is if you were there. The same food times, same walk schedule, same rules. I’m careful about doors and gates, keep the home secure while you’re away, and treat your space with the same respect I’d want for my own :))
About: I’ve always had dogs growing up in the house, but I needed one of my own when I was seven, which is why I proclaim fifteen years of experience. When I was five, I called myself the dog whisperer, and I’m bringing back the title because I think it still fits! Since middle school, I have pet sat for many family friends and neighbors, and I always get along great with the animals! I’m going to school to become a therapist, but if dog therapists were a thing, I would change career paths. Please let me hang with your pets - I don’t have any pets anymore and I miss doggos! I have classes anywhere from 9-5 M-F, but definitely have room each day in between classes to work around pet sitting. I also am in a few student groups with events/rehearsals scattered about, so I can confirm available time slots week by week! I will house sit or dog walk, but I cannot host them! I will of course follow any instructions left and be very respectful of the space, while making sure your pets have the best time!
About: I’ve dogsat for friends and coworkers many times before! I love their company, I think each dog has their own interesting personality so I’m excited to meet yours! I work M-F 9-4 but am free to walk your pup anytime after that and or dog-sit as needed! I’m usually at a park getting my steps in anyways, so I’d love to bring your dog with me next time! I can’t dog-sit in my new apartment unfortunately but I will gladly watch them at your house as needed! Please let me know! Thanks!
“I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. From the very first moment, it was clear that Ella truly understands cats—not just their routines, but their emotions, boundaries, and quiet language. My cats felt safe and genuinely cared for, which says everything. Ella has what I can only describe as soul cat energy: patient, intuitive, and deeply kind. She went above and beyond, not just making sure everything was done, but making sure my cats felt loved. Ella is a true star and a rare find.”

“Yaqin was great with Fafa! It was too hot outside for a regular walk, so she adjusted the visit and found other ways to keep Fafa active and entertained. She even did some strength exercises with him and gave him plenty of enrichment and attention. I really appreciated how attentive she was and how well she adapted to Fafa’s needs. Would definitely book with her again!”

About: I am a very loyal and caring animal lover (dogs, cats, horses, etc.) I grew up in Lawrenceville, NJ with cats and dogs. One of our chores was taking care of our animals, whether walking the dog, feeding them or changing cat litter and making sure all animals had fresh water daily. As a child, having an animal is a big responsibility but it is one that makes you learn and grow as a child to become a trusting and caring individual with responsibility in the big world we live in today. To be honest, animals are like family, they make you laugh and smile but their always there for you with unconditional love at the end of a busy day which everyone always needs. I am a true animal lover. I am semi-retired and have enjoyed taking care of dogs/cats all my life. Animals bring so much joy each day. I normally stay at clients home. I always make sure animals are fed and cared for each day. It’s important that they have exercise always.
“Jaymin has been coming to look after our Coco while we’re at work this whole week. She’s been great at keeping us updated and checking in. Attentive to Coco and any requests we have. We will be starting recurring visits during our work days!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and I honestly can’t imagine it any other way! I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and have had my own horse since I was 12. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and over the years, I’ve learned a lot about their care, health, and individual needs through caring for my own horse and pets. I truly love spending time with animals and getting to know their different personalities. Whether your pet wants to play, go for a walk, get some extra cuddles, or just have someone around while you’re away, I’d love to be that person for them! I’m also a Registered Nurse at RWJBarnabas, so I’m responsible, attentive, and comfortable handling situations that require a little extra care. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work M-F 7:30AM-4PM. Weekends are free, however, during the week if your pet needs to be let out during the day I will not be available unless it is before/after work. I offer walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and pet sitting tailored to your pet’s needs. I’m flexible and happy to work with their routine and personalities!
“It was a pleasure having Veerja as a cat sitter. They went above and beyond for our cat, Reese. She updated us on her visit multiple times with pictures and detailed summaries. She truly cares for your pet as if they are her own. 🩷”

About: Hi! I’m Alexa, a recent University of Miami graduate and a lifelong animal lover. I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and birds and have spent the last 10+ years caring for pets for family, friends, and neighbors. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and my family has also been involved with supporting a no-kill animal shelter, which has only strengthened my love for helping animals. I currently have two dogs with completely different personalities, which has taught me how important it is to understand every pet’s individual needs. My 11-year-old dog is calmer, loves relaxing, sunbathing, and getting attention, while my younger rescue dog is energetic, playful, and always ready to run around. Having both has given me experience with senior dogs, rescues, high-energy dogs, and different temperaments. I’m comfortable with walking, feeding, bathing, playtime, and giving medications. My dog Bentley has diabetes, so I also have personal experience caring for pets with medical needs and understand how important it is to be attentive, responsible, and follow instructions carefully. I would describe myself as patient, gentle, active, and extremely attentive. I always pay attention to little details, whether that means making sure a dog isn’t overheating outside, keeping fresh water available, noticing changes in behavior, or simply making sure they feel loved and comfortable. I truly see pets as members of the family and will always treat your dog with the same care, kindness, and love that I give my own. Im currently home for the summer and I high flexibility for dog walking, house sitting, and potty breaks. I love to get to know all sorts of pups and appreciate each of their individual likes and personalities. If overnight boarding is foreseeable for the future after initial services with your dog, I would be happy discuss and go over details in a deeper extent.
“She did an amazing job with our dog Buddy! You will get the best photos of your pet just like we did. We were able to enjoy our vacation without worry! Thank you so much!”

“My kitty was very happy when Megan came. She kept us update with pictures and messages. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing our little guy was being taken care of.”

“Kristen took great care of my puppy Emma on short notice, she gave me great updates and was super easy to communicate with. Will definitely be using her to care for Emma in the future!”

“Kaitlyn is amazing. She is responsive, kind, always attentive to our puppies, and incredibly reliable. We trust her wholeheartedly and are thankful every day for her love of dogs :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Hopewell with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
