Sarah was excellent with Chase. She followed his routine carefully, communicated clearly, and handled everything with confidence. Chase is a senior tripod and needs a bit of extra support, and she managed his let‑outs, feeding, medications, and mobility needs without any issues. We had an unexpected power outage during our booking, and Sarah immediately stepped in with solutions to keep Chase safe and comfortable. She was flexible, dependable, and proactive throughout the entire situation. Chase was well cared for, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was with her. We will absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8! But it wasn’t until I grew up a bit that they became my best buds. I’m the girl you see with the dog and cat shadowing her every move! I’ve just returned from Italy and currently doing online school so this fits absolutely perfect in my life! Not having a job to go to everyday can kind of stink, so this gets me out and doing things! I’m very active with them and make sure they are stimulated throughout the time I’m with them so that when you return they will be tuckered out!

Sarafina did a great job caring for my cat, Lawrence! He just needed daily drop-in visits and she sent lots of photos. She stopped by beforehand to make sure she knew exactly what he needed and was friendly and knowledgeable! She did an excellent job with my instructions and gave him plenty of playtime while she stopped in. I highly recommend Sarafina for any of your pets needs!

About: I have been taking care of all kinds of animals since I can remember! I grew up on a farm and worked for other local farms, taking care of animals ranging from large dogs to barn cats. My own dogs are high-energy, intelligent breeds, including a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd, that I have trained myself. I also had a beagle who had many medical problems that required extensive senior care. I am available and flexible anytime on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for pet care. I am less flexible on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but may have options if need be. To ensure a safe and trusting environment in my client's home, I will always be extremely attentive to the animal's needs, while having a fun, engaging time! I will also be sure to alert my client if anything is wrong or out of the norm for their pets.

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and have always had multiple dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, sizes, and personalities. Over the years, I’ve dog sat and house sat for multiple families, handling everything from daily walks and feeding schedules to overnight care and keeping pets on their normal routines. I’ve also worked closely with a professional dog trainer, which has given me a strong understanding of dog behavior, structure, and how to handle different temperaments. Including high-energy dogs and those that need a little extra patience and attention. I’m experienced with puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs, and I’m comfortable with things like basic training reinforcement, administering medications if needed, and adjusting care based on each dog’s individual needs. In addition to pet care, I’m extremely responsible, respectful of your home, and detail-oriented. I have experience in house management as well, so I’m happy to help keep your home tidy, bring in mail, water plants, and make sure everything is in order while you’re away. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved, while giving you complete peace of mind. I currently have very open availability and can be flexible to meet your pet’s needs! I’m available 24/7 for bookings through May 11th, which allows me to provide consistent care, attention, and companionship throughout the day and night. Starting May 11th, I will be working part-time, but I will still have strong availability for pet care and house sitting, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m committed to maintaining your pet’s routine and making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and care! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping your pet comfortable by maintaining their normal routine and environment. I’m experienced with overnight stays and house sitting, and I make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m comfortable with crating if needed, administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and adjusting to each dog’s individual needs. I provide regular walks, playtime, and can take dogs to nearby parks. I’m also attentive to behavior and energy levels to make sure your pet is both happy and comfortable. I’m very respectful of your home and treat it with the same care and attention I would my own. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and happy to help with additional tasks around the house. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always feel confident that your pet is happy and in good hands!

I discovered I had no one to watch my to somewhat challenging dogs the night before a work event. Jake was professional, offered to have a quick meet and greet before the next day's visit, and showed up on time for both visits. I added a laundry list of concerns to my dog's profile. Luckily my dog loved Jake within 5 minutes of meeting him. So much so, that when my husband returned early and accidentally let Xara escape from the house, it was Jake my dog allowed herself to be caught by. She doesn't allow anyone but her besties to get near her when she is loose.

I am responsible, caring, and understand how important it is to trust the person taking care of your pets, so I will treat them as if they were my own. About: I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and abilities. I grew up with a dog for 17 years. I have dog sat and walked countless of dogs for the past 7 years via Wag, friends, and word of mouth. I love being active, and I love having dogs accompany me on my walks, runs, and hikes. We are a dog loving home. Everything is better when a dog is around! Currently, I am off from work for the summer, so my schedule is very flexible! I would love to spend my free time with your pup! I currently live in an apartment complex. There is grass and a wooded trail less than 10 feet from my balcony. My complex also has a fenced in dog park. I am very close to other walking paths, trails and parks that I would be happy to take your dog to.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find a trustworthy and reliable sitter. In addition to having my own dogs, I’ve also fostered rescue dogs for several years, which has given me experience working with anxious dogs, puppies, and senior dogs. Friends, neighbors, and family have relied on me to feed, walk, and play with their pups while they’re away. I’m very dependable, communicative, and genuinely love spending time with animals! I’m currently off for the summer before starting grad school, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the summer. I’m available most weekdays as well as select weekends, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pets get the care and attention they need. When caring for dogs in your home, I prioritize keeping them on their normal routine while making sure they feel comfortable and safe. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Byram choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Byram with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Byram. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
