“Sean came to over to let my puppy out while I was at work all day. He made sure to update me, send pictures, and check to see he was doing all that she needed. He’s super nice, very responsive, and clearly responsible. Definitely recommend!”

“Friendly, competent, courteous, and thorough, Giuliana was beyond fantastic and I’m pretty sure my cats are missing her visits. I really appreciated how communicative she was both leading up to our trip and while she was away. It can be weird letting strangers into your house without you there but she instantly set me at ease and I’ll 100% be booking her in the future. Thanks Giuliana!”

“Thank you so much for going above and beyond in taking care of Mabel! Your informative daily notes and many adorable pictures clearly showed how much love and time you put into watching our furry girl. Honestly, she seemed a little disappointed that we weren’t you when we arrived back home!”

“When we returned home after 4 days away, Caesar was friendly and happy, so that tells me that Tracy did a nice job visiting, petting and feeding Caesar. Caesar often will not make an appearance for guests but he came right upstairs to see Tracy each visit.”
“We have used Joanna a few times and she is great! Always very responsive and leaves photos and detailed comments so we know our pup is doing great while we are away.”

“Carly treats my dog as she would her own. She’s patient toward my shy pup and puts in extra effort to make her comfortable. I feel very assured Layla is in great hands when I’m working and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

About: I have owned many pets from dogs to cats to bunnies to even a snake. Throughout my life neighbors, friends, family, and others have consistently relied on me to watch and take care of their pets. I also volunteer at animals shelters in my free time and have fostered kittens in the past. I currently work part time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am happy to accommodate specific schedules. I am very respectful of other people’s spaces and only hope to make your pets as well taken care of as possible with the instructions given.

“Caitlyn was absolutely fantastic in her care of my senior Maltese during a recent trip we took. She was courteous, caring, followed all the directions I left for her, and was very punctual. Her updates here on Rover were detailed and included many pics. I couldn't be happier with the care Caitlyn provided my little girl, and look forward to future visits by her. Thanks again Caitlyn!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
