“Gigi did a great job watching my Maltipoo dog for 10 nights. Her family provided a true home for our pup, and I’ll always be grateful! She took great care of him, and took him on multiple walks a day. She has went above and beyond by brushing his hair and teeth, cleaning his eyes, and giving him a bath. She provided a lot of photos and videos and his list of activities that day which made us feel relieved that my fur baby is in good hand and having fun. He came home clean, happy and content. Highly recommend for anyone looking to board their pup! Thanks again for taking such good care of Ethan :)”

“Coco was immediately comfortable when she arrived at Maryjane's. Our feeding and medication schedule was followed and Coco had several family members giving her attention. We received daily photos of our pet. We would certainly call upon Maryjane again to take care of Coco.”

“Great communication the entire weekend and our pup came back happy and tired. We will definitely rebook when we are out of town and need a sitter. Thank you!”

I have a pet and i take care of him daily so pet care is part off my daily routine and life and I love it. “Shirley took great care of our dog while we were on vacation, and made her feel right at home. She sent us regular pictures to assure us that our dog was doing fine in our absence. We will definitely use her services in the future.”

About: I have my own space with an easy to clean floor. I am very chill and and I'm located very near 101 and the Gilroy Outlets. I work as a in-home Care Service and I enjoy my work I worked hard enough to find time to take care of my kitten and the rest of world. Cat powers, woof! I usually let them free roam but if they have to be in the crate either you or I can use a crate for your services the usual clean floor and dog mats or dog trainer pads and kitty litter will be available respectively.
“Sarah was attentive and sweet. I happen to have a pup who does really well off leash and loves running; they catered to that aspect allowing my dog to run often as well as explore to different locations they went to throughout the stay. I received pictures and videos and, to be completely honest, am trying to plan another vacation soon because pup enjoyed their time so much with Sarah. Thank you. I'm grateful to know there is now a person who I will be a 'regular' with.”

About: I’ve had a love for animals since I was able to walk. I treat every pet like my own, ensuring their daily routine is strictly followed so you can enjoy total piece of mind while you are away. I’m currently on break from a job assignment that finished, and when I’m not working, I dedicate my time to dog boarding, dog walking, and volunteering at the shelter just to spend time with animals. Due to my current routine, it allows me to have open availability and flexibility with pet care. I have a fenced yard with lots of space for your fur baby to potty and play in, as well as two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I can easily crate or separate your dog if personal space is needed!
About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had two or three at a time—from Huskies, Malamutes, and wolf dogs to French Bulldogs, Border Collies, and Pit Bulls—so I learned early that every breed brings its own personality, challenges, and way of learning. Over the years, I’ve worked on the fundamentals with a wide variety of dogs and later had the opportunity to learn from an experienced trainer with a background in search and rescue, protection work, and advanced behavior training. That experience helped me expand my skills, understand dogs on a deeper level, and appreciate how much the right approach can change both a dog’s behavior and their future. Now I’m building something of my own. My goal is to keep learning, keep improving, and use the skills I’ve developed to help dogs become more confident, manageable, and successful in their homes. Most importantly, I hope to help give dogs with behavioral challenges a second chance—and keep as many as possible from being euthanized simply because they were misunderstood or never given the right training. I tend to favor weekends and over nights with my work schedule. However, flexibility is possible. Scheduling your pups appointments ahead will always be recommended! I work with both dogs and handlers/owners to facilitate better communication. Once a dog can communicate effectively with their human, a bond deeper than “the hand that feeds me” can develop.

About: I had a dog who I cared and deeply loved for 6 years, she unfortunately passed away due to medical issues. I moved here to Seaside about 4 months ago due to my husband being in the military and have already watched over several dogs ranging from small to large sizes. I met a good friend whose dog has anxiety, so I have learned how to handle/comfort dogs who are going through the same thing. I hope to connect with your pet and give them the best care possible! I am a stay at home mom to a one year old boy who adores animals and loves walks. I get up pretty early in the morning and use some of that time to let them out to potty, provide their breakfast, and go on a little walk! I have a playground and dog park right by my home where they can roam around and have some fun:) I do not have pets of my own. I do have a one year old boy. If your dog has shown aggression towards little kids even in the past, it will not be a good fit to have them here with me. I have a fenced backyard. If you require your pet to be in a crate for any reason or at a certain time (it usually has only been when I’m out for errands or during bed time) I would of course just need to know ahead of time:) I’d really want the area safe for everyone including your own pet:) We can always work around what you want/prefer when I am caring for them!
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ridgemark
Marium is kind and thorough and loves animals! She took great care of our bernedoodle for 6 days. We received plenty of communication and updates with photos. He had a fabulous time and was happy upon pickup. We are so happy to have someone who cares about our sog

Maryjane and Domnic have been one of the best Rover experiences I’ve had! I really appreciate that they took the time out of their day to drive to my home and get to know Maya before her stay. They asked thoughtful and thorough questions to make sure she would be comfortable and, most importantly, safe in their care. They also provided thoughtful updates and plenty of pictures throughout her stay, which gave me great peace of mind. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the dogs they look after. I would absolutely book with them again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and responsible sitters!

Jacklin was fantastic! She kept in touch throughout our trip with daily updates, which meant so much since I was nervous about leaving Ty for the first time. He tends to be picky about eating and slow to settle in somewhere new. She followed our instructions closely and made sure he felt comfortable and at home the whole time. She was also responsive and flexible with our drop-off and pick-up times, which made the whole experience stress-free. She took him out regularly and clearly gave him a lot of attention. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her the next time we need to go out of town!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ridgemark home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ridgemark.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ridgemark sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
