Pet care experience

Your Pet’s WFH Bestie 🐾

One thing that makes my home different is that I intentionally only care for up to two guest dogs at a time. Unlike larger boarding setups, this means your dog receives the individual attention, affection, and supervision they deserve—not just another spot in a crowded home. I’ve been caring for animals for over 30 years and have loved them since I was five years old, when I got my first cat. Since then, I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages—from energetic puppies to sweet senior pets—and I’m comfortable with all breeds. I’ve also cared for many pets for family, friends, and Rover clients, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities and needs. Because I work remotely, I’m home for most of the day, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. My home is calm, safe, and full of love, playtime, cuddles, and walks. I’m also comfortable administering medication and pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive. I know every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences to help them feel comfortable and secure. My goal is simple: for your pet to feel like they’re staying with family while you’re away, and for you to have complete peace of mind knowing they’re receiving the care and attention they deserve.

Wonderful experience! She was super flexible when my schedule was flipping and flopping. She sent me lots of updates and gave Mollie all the loves which Mollie loves! I used her so I could go to Pinnacles and not have to worry about Mollie and it was perfect! I highly recommend using her and would use her again if I’m in the area!

Marium cared for my dog Rico while our family was out of town for 10 days and took the time to get to know him, understand his needs as he has separation anxiety and a tendency to be shy around people. I knew from the first day he would be in good hands as he quickly grew comfortable in their home. Marium provided daily updates with photos of him living his best life during his stay, which turned out to be a mini vacation for Rico as well, with plenty of walks, sunbathing in their backyard, cuddles, and snacks. I would 1000% have Marium watch Rico again in the future!

Marium was very good, and I did not worry about Nala at all. She sent pictures and updates several times a day, so I knew Nala was having fun!! Nala has a new bestie!! She also cleaned up and did some laundry for me. I will definitely use Marium again.

We were very nervous leaving Afi for the first time with someone outside of family overnight because he is truly our baby, but Mahrukh & Jax made the entire experience so comfortable for us. We were updated with pictures, without asking and she was always easy to contact and responded promptly. We could tell Afi was well cared for and loved. We really appreciate her and will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!

Schedule

Because I work remotely, I’m home most of the day, which makes pet care a natural part of my daily routine. I start my mornings with a walk or playtime, and I take regular breaks throughout the day to give pets attention, cuddles, and outdoor time. Evenings are usually calm and cozy — perfect for a relaxing stroll or some quiet time together. My flexible schedule means I can easily adapt to your pet’s needs, whether that’s frequent walks, meal routines, or medication schedules.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is always the same — to make them feel safe, loved, and at ease. I follow each pet’s normal routine closely, including feeding times, walks, play, and rest, so their day feels familiar and stress-free. In my home, pets enjoy a calm, cozy space where they get plenty of cuddles, playtime, and outdoor walks. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect and care I would my own, keeping things tidy and peaceful while giving your pet lots of attention and affection. I also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy and cared for.

A typical day

A typical day in our home is designed to keep your dog happy, active, and feeling like part of the family. The day usually starts with a morning potty break, followed by breakfast (according to your dog’s normal routine) and a nice walk to stretch their legs and get some fresh air. Throughout the day, we’ll enjoy plenty of playtime, whether that’s a game of fetch, tug-of-war, puzzle toys, or simply exploring the backyard together. Because I work from home, your dog will have company for most of the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. I let dogs out for potty breaks at least every two hours (and more often if needed), so they always have plenty of opportunities to go outside. In the afternoon, we typically head out for another walk or spend more time playing, depending on your dog’s energy level. Of course, there are also plenty of cuddle breaks, belly rubs, and quiet time to relax. In the evening, your pup will enjoy dinner, another potty break, and time to wind down before bed. My goal is to keep their routine as close to home as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to adjust walks, playtime, and rest based on their age, personality, energy level, and any special instructions you provide.

Marium Mahrukh can host up to 2 pets per night
Every dog is unique, and I love getting to know what makes yours special! Before their stay, please tell me about their daily routine, personality, likes and dislikes, commands they know, potty schedule, feeding routine, medications, and anything that helps them feel safe and happy. My goal is to make their stay feel as close to home as possible. Since I only host up to two guest dogs at a time, I take the time to learn each dog’s individual needs and routine so I can give them the personalized care and attention they deserve.
