About: ur friendly neighborhood avid animal lover here to help you with your fur babies! as a former animal shelter employee and current animal hospital worker, I’m familiar with all different kinds of dogs and cats of different ages, breeds, demeanors and needs. I’m comfortable with young puppies to seniors, nervous/shy cats, those who need medication and anyone in between ☺️ I’m located right in the heart of the Mission District and work in Noe Vallley, so anywhere in those two areas are easy for me to access. I also have a car and can access further if need be! As someone who has seen plenty of emergency cases in my profession, I’m very specially aware within people’s homes of what may be considered safe or unsafe for your baby. Just let me know if I need to keep an extra eye on a specific room or piece of furniture in your room!

About: Hi, I am a major dog lover! Polly, my senior pup, is paralyzed and has taught me even more about special needs pups. Familiar with giving medication, BOAS, IVDD (able diaper and express the bladder if needed), Megaesophagus, clefts, food and environmental allergies, dog anxiety, food aggression/resource guarding, general puppy care, and senior care. While I have gained some of this experience through just being a pet owner, I have also learned a lot from dogs I have fostered and their rescues. Up until 2021 I taught full time in the classroom, now I teach 99% from home. This allows me to care for Polly as well as any friends or fosters I may have. Took some time away from Rover and have since moved to the Sacramento area. House sitting: I am extra vigilant with locking doors and checking the perimeter prior to letting a dog in/ out. Other notes: I am very well versed in giving medication and taking care of skin conditions. And because you can never be too safe we have pet oxygen on hand. *Male puppies excluded from neutering requirement. *House sitting- if you would like me to stay at your home during the work day, this can be discussed.

About: I grew up with a big Labrador and my family also has two more medium sized dogs. I have years of experience in walking and boarding. I have experience with many different breeds and particularly love bigger dogs (being big sized myself). Unfortunately when I moved to Sacramento I couldn’t take my pup with me so your pet will have all my love and attention! My wife and I mostly work from home and my schedule is very much open. About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and have personally trained five dogs with different personalities, needs, and learning styles. Over the years, dogs have been much more than pets to me, they have been members of my family. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for how differently every dog communicates, learns, plays, relaxes, and builds trust. I’m especially passionate about canine behavior and body language. I pay close attention to the small signals dogs use to communicate how they’re feeling, whether they are excited, nervous, overstimulated, curious, playful, or simply in need of some quiet time. I believe good pet care starts with understanding the individual dog rather than expecting every dog to respond the same way. While I am not a certified dog trainer, I have substantial hands on experience with training, positive reinforcement, routines, boundaries, mental stimulation, and everyday dog care. I believe dogs thrive when they are given a healthy balance of affection, structure, exercise, enrichment, freedom, and clear expectations. My current dog, Charlie Girl, is a 2 year old Boxer/Hound mix with an incredibly happy and social personality. She has responded exceptionally well to training and has reinforced how much I enjoy working with dogs, learning from them, and helping them feel confident and secure. Caring for her every day includes walks, training, play, mental enrichment, affection, and plenty of time to relax and be part of the family. I also understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. My goal is to make that decision easier by treating every dog with patience, attentiveness, and respect for the routines and boundaries their family has established. I enjoy providing regular photos, videos, and updates because I believe clear communication helps owners feel connected and confident while they are away. Ultimately, I want every dog in my care to feel safe, understood, engaged, and genuinely welcomed. Caring for dogs is already a central part of my daily life, and I am committed to making pet care a dedicated part of my work. My 2 year old Boxer/Hound mix, Charlie Girl, has a daily routine that includes walks, training, mental stimulation, play, affection, and plenty of time to relax and cuddle. I bring that same level of attention and involvement to the dogs entrusted to my care. Because I am intentionally dedicating my time to pet care, dogs staying with me are part of my day not something I simply fit in around a busy schedule. I enjoy being actively involved with them throughout the day through play, enrichment, positive reinforcement, companionship, outdoor time, and exercise. I believe daily walks are important for both physical exercise and mental stimulation, and when appropriate for the individual dog's age, health, routine, the weather, and their family's preferences, I aim to provide up to an hour of walking and outdoor exercise each day. I also know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone else. Communication is a major part of the service I provide, so I enjoy sending regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their stay. I would rather communicate too much than leave a family wondering how their dog is doing. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable second home where dogs can relax and enjoy themselves while their family is away not an environment that feels like being placed in a kennel. I have a comfortable home with a fully fenced yard where dogs have room to play, explore, enjoy supervised outdoor time, or simply relax. I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to caring for dogs. I believe dogs thrive with a healthy balance of affection, freedom, exercise, positive reinforcement, and clear rules and boundaries. Structure should help a dog feel secure and understand what is expected of them without taking away their opportunity to be a dog. Understanding canine behavior and body language is especially important to me. I pay attention to the smaller signals dogs use to communicate whether they are excited, uncertain, overstimulated, uncomfortable, ready to play, or simply in need of some quiet time. Every dog has its own personality, history, routine, and comfort level, and I believe good care starts with respecting those differences. Charlie Girl is a happy, social dog who genuinely enjoys connecting and playing with other dogs. Even so, I never assume that two dogs will immediately be comfortable together. Introductions and interactions are handled thoughtfully and supervised, with each dog's behavior and comfort level determining how quickly they progress. I also make it a priority to follow the routines and expectations established by each dog's family, including feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, walking routines, training cues, boundaries, and other care instructions. Consistency can make being away from home much easier for a dog. Most importantly, I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's dog seriously. These animals are members of their families, just as the dogs throughout my life have been members of mine. I want owners to leave knowing their dog is being watched closely, treated with patience and respect, given meaningful attention and enrichment, and welcomed into a home where their safety and well being come first. Regular photos, videos, and checkins are part of that commitment so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing.

About: I am returning to Rover after a long hiatus while pursuing my PhD. Before my beloved Stella (black pitty) passed away, we had a wonderful time dog-sitting for clients. After many years of grief and a very, very busy life in my doctoral program, I have another doggy companion, Bruce. We enjoy working from home together and are excited to care for your pets! Training my boxer, Bruce, has been such a rewarding experience, and we hope to have the chance to help others on their journeys to build strong connections between handlers and their beloved companions. Working from home allows me to adapt to different needs and routines to stick as closely as possible with your pets current routine to give them a sense of familiarity. My boxer, Bruce, knows when it is time for his meals, bedtime, or when I need to step out to run errands for the day. I intend to do the same by adapting to your pet's routine so they feel at ease.

About: My name is Marissa and I'm am excited to return to Rover! My love for animals has been around since I was a child but blossomed during my time volunteering for an animal shelter. In addition to my volunteer work, I had an English Springer Spaniel for 11 years and a cat for 8 years, so I have quite a bit of experience caring for dogs and cats. I have administered oral medication, washed and walked dogs, helped train dogs, and brushed their teeth. I'm very patient with all cats and dogs and give them my full attention. I'm available most weekends and some weekdays, especially with advanced notice. Any specific requests? Let me know and I'll be happy to accommodate! I am currently working M-F from 8:00-5:00, but can accommodate weekday drop-in visits with additional notice. My main availability is on weekends and holidays. I take great care to ensure my clients’ homes are respected. I always offer to water any plants or do any small chores in addition to pet sitting.

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, I take great care of them. Friends have relied on me to feed and walk their puppy while they were out of town. I currently work early mornings/afternoons so I can check in on your fur baby in the afternoon and evenings. On Friday’s and Sunday’s I am available all day. I am very respectful in others homes i have no problem doing tasks you need me to do. I will make sure they have plenty of food and water before I leave.

I personally have experience handling reactive and dog aggressive dogs and understand the importance of boundaries, supervision, and safe separation. About: I have pet sat for friends and family throughout the years (youngins-seniors). I have a 9 year old cat of my own, adopted her when she was a kitten! I have also lived with family pets (two other cats and one dog). I love going for walks and I would have our family dog tag along all the time and would take care of her when the family was busy. I have experience in giving oral medication to cats + following a medication/feeding schedule. I’m currently working full time, Monday-Friday, I’m available to walk and care for pets during my work breaks, evenings during the week, or any time during the weekend.
