“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best! She is extremely prompt & communicative and was eager to help us navigate the app and Rover support when we realized we were being charged holiday fee outside of the holiday period. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she cares for while the owners are away. Thanks Alex!”

“Andrea has been walking my dog Jack for a a couple of weeks now and he has been so happy with her! He is skiddish and shy, but has taken very well to Andrea, which I think speaks well of her! They walk during lunch and he is so much more calmer in the afternoons and when I get home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I absolutely adore dogs and their personalities. I had an older pup of my own, who has been with me all over California. Unfortunately my beautiful girl has passed. Now I have a 1 year old rambunctious little aussiedoodle named Thorin and all he wants do is play. He absolutely loves making new friends. I am always the first one to be called by any friend in need to watch their pets. I’m confident that Thorin and I can give your pet a safe space for them to have fun and you to relax and not worry. I currently work 2 miles from my place of residence. Your dog will usually just go with me to work every day, we have a bed/area set up (pet friendly environment) or if preferred the dog to stay home. My man comes with me, so we do the same for yours. Also, they would be walked first thing in the morning, on my lunch, after work and then again before bed. I have a crate if thats needed for your dog/your dog likes to have his/her own safe space. My house is free to roam for the animals. I have a big backyard they can play in.
About: Animals have been part of my life from the very beginning. My family raised and cared for pets of all kinds, including Maine Coon show cats, a golden retriever, and a yorkie. I grew up surrounded by them, learning early how to read behavior, provide steady care, and build trust with different personalities and species. The only time I ever lived without an animal in my home was during my first two years of service in the Air Force. Since then, I have continued to share my life with dogs, cats, and the occasional more unusual companion such as a bird, a ferret, and a snake. Every one of them has been loved and treated as family. These days I share my home with Daxter (my orange tabby) and Catarina and Beretina (two crazy torbie sisters) who keep life entertaining in all the best ways. I am a veteran currently in school and I work part time as a martial arts instructor. Outside of that, I enjoy drawing, playing guitar, and video games. Among my friends I have become the go to pet auntie because I care for their animals as if they were my own. My goal is to bring that same level of attentiveness and genuine care to every pet I look after. Whether they are shy, energetic, quirky, or easygoing, I meet each animal with patience, respect, and a calm presence so they feel safe while you are away. I currently work part time as a martial arts instructor during the day, but my schedule is extremely flexible to accommodate both you and your pets’ needs I care for every pet with a focus on respect, clear communication, and their individual comfort levels. Whether a cat or dog is shy, social, or a little spicy, I follow their cues and let them set the pace. With many years of experience, including caring for my own three cats (Daxter, Catarina, and Beretina), I’m very attentive to both physical and emotional needs and quick to notice changes in behavior or stress. Your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s. If you’re away, I provide consistent updates and photos as often as you’d like so you always know how they’re doing. I welcome specific instructions or preferences because every pet has their own routine and every owner has their own comfort level. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe and content, and you feel confident that they’re in good hands.

“Carrie is great ! She responds quickly to messages and was able to help me out with my 2 dobermans with little notice. Check-ins at my house, feeding, and took them on an extra long walk. She also updates me with pictures and let me know when she arrived and left. I look forward to using Carrie for all my doggy needs. Thanks Carrie!”

About: With over 15 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds, I have a deep passion for providing loving and attentive care. My journey began with volunteer work at animal shelters, where I gained hands-on experience with pets of all temperaments, ages, and special needs. At home, I’ve raised and cared for a pack of six dogs from puppyhood, and I currently have two wonderful cats, Benji and Wyatt, who are thoroughly spoiled. I understand the importance of trust, patience, and individualized care, whether it’s ensuring a high-energy pup gets plenty of exercise or providing a calm and comforting environment for a shy or senior pet. Your furry companion will be treated like family, receiving plenty of affection, playtime, and personalized attention while you’re away! Because of my flexible remote work schedule, I can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. I take breaks throughout the day for walks, feeding and playtime to ensure my pets get plenty of attention and enrichment. The balance allows me to be productive while also prioritizing your pet’s wellbeing I take great pride in being a respectful and attentive care taker. I am very careful to follow all instructions given to ensure your pet’s routine and environment are well maintained why you are away. You can count on my to treat your home with the utmost care and give your furry friends all the love and attention they deserve!

“I have a small breed senior dog and a cat. Its hard to find someone I feel I can trust to give them the same care and attention as myself when I am away from home. Natalie is someone I know I can trust my babies with, she takes a bunch of photos each time she walks my dog and feeds him. She goes above and beyond every time and I can tell my dog and cat absolutely adore her and are happy when she comes to help. Thank you Natalie!”

About: I have been house and pet sitting for over 15 years. My love for animals is a core part of who I am and how I like to spend my time. I grew up around a wide variety of animals, such as dogs, cats, chickens, llamas, and horses, so caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From a young age I helped tend to our rotating family of 2–5 dogs at a time. This gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and life stages, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors with special needs. I currently share my home with my two beloved cats (Ellie & Ripley, 6yo sisters), and I also help care for several neighborhood cats regularly. I understand that each cat has a unique personality and needs, and I'm happy to learn your kitty's special habits and routine. Your feline family members will be in experienced and loving hands. As a house sitter I am clean and respectful of all pet owners' privacy and personal space. I have prior experience managing properties, so I am familiar with a variety of home styles and their practical needs (e.g. keeping old houses cool in summer). I will take good care of your home so that you have one less worry while traveling. Whether your pet needs extra patience, medication management, or just lots of playtime and cuddles, I bring genuine care and a lifetime of experience to every visit. Your pets won't just be looked after, they'll be loved. My husband and I take care of our own two pets every day. We're very proactive about refreshing water dishes and litter boxes, as well as enforcing everyone's diet and feeding schedule. I also help care for my neighborhood outdoor cat colony. We help keep them fed and safe. I treat my client's home with respect and privacy, prioritizing your pets comfort and routines. I'm happy to play with them or just give them some quiet company while you are away and they are missing you.
“Janessa was great! I needed a walker last minute and she responded almost immediately! She was able to be flexible as well when I messaged her and needed to push my pups walk back on the second day! 5 stars!”

About: I have proudly cared for dogs through every stage of life for over 9 years now. My services have earned the trust of numerous neighbors, friends, and family members, who have entrusted me with the well-being of their beloved fur babies. I maintain constant communication with them, ensuring they stay informed about their pets' welfare. In the past, I served as a dedicated dog walker for multiple neighbors, treating each precious pup as if they were my own. As a devoted dog mom myself, I extend that same level of care and affection to every animal under my watchful eye. Your fur baby will receive my undivided attention, and should any medical care be required during their stay with me, please don't hesitate to inform me—I'm more than willing to provide the necessary assistance. I am currently a full-time medical student and spend most of time at home studying with my Maltipoo. My schedule is very flexible and have wide availability for dog walking, daycare, and check-ins. Pets in my care receive personalized attention, regular feeding, and exercise. In my home, pets enjoy a safe and nurturing environment, attentive pet care, along with a fenced yard. I have a small Maltipoo dog with me as well and he can help keep your fur baby company and play with them, if that is something you would like your dog to do. In my client's home, I follow their specific instructions to ensure the pet's comfort and well-being. I will also constantly keep you updated on your pet’s care, since I know from personal experience how important and comforting it is to receive updates while my pet has been in care with others.
“Marina is so great! She is reliable and she is always on time! We booked with her a couple times and Bentley is always happy and relaxed after spending time with her. I totally would recommend her and book with her again!”

“I 100% trust my dog with Arianna! She always leaves notes about how he did on his walk and I really appreciate it! She gives me peace of mind while I’m at work. I know my dog is in good hands :)”

“Vahid took exceptional care of Rue and Reo over five days. He provided plenty of photos and constant updates, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. He was very attentive to their well-being and even let me know when the weather was too hot for them to safely walk, showing great judgment and care. Beyond the walks, Vahid spent time playing with the dogs and making sure they were happy and engaged. It was clear from the photos and updates that Rue and Reo genuinely loved spending time with him. His communication, reliability, and genuine affection for the dogs made the experience outstanding. I would highly recommend Vahid to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and attentive dog walker.”

“Carolyn is just the absolute best thing that has happened to us! I can’t say enough about her. She is perfection wrapped up into a beautiful human. Thank you for everything you do for my baby girl 🥰”

New Era Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Amina was great! She responded to my request quickly, was punctual and proactively communicated. My grand dog warmed to her immediately and they had a great walk. She also helped me navigate the Rover app since I’m old - lol. I highly recommend her for walks and if I lived in the Sac area full time, I would use her regularly. She gave me peace of mind knowing he was well cared for. She was professional and personable and I can’t thank her enough!

Andrea is amazing. I had a logistically complicated day, coming through Sacramento from 1.5 hours away for a doctor appointment and then continuing on for the last two hours of my trip. I'd never met her so I was worried about all the chances for something to go wrong. But everything was *perfect*. First, Andrea was amazing about staying in touch, and answered questions quickly and cheerily. She was extremely flexible, and even showed up a bit early so I'd had no reason for anxiety. My pup Willie loved his time with her and her boyfriend. It couldn't have been a better experience. Thank you, Andrea!

Tyson was immediately accepted by our dog, Chance. Then he only needed to hear the walk and feed instructions once, so keeping Chance inside of his routine as much as possible and providing us with peace of mind. Really happy with Tyson and grateful for his natural way with animals.

I have a small breed senior dog and a cat. Thank you Natalie!
