“Achara did a great job from the beginning to end! She responded to all of our messages in a timely manner and had no problem answering any of my questions. We are very particular about our fur babies and worry a lot whenever we leave them so it was nice to have someone who was willing to reassure us repeatedly. Achara made sure to let our 2 puppies meet her dogs through a baby gate to make sure everyone got along perfectly first which was great. Our dogs and hers got along great. She sent us lots of pictures everyday to show us how our puppies were having a great time and playing. She took them walking and made sure they got to stay active like they do at home. Pickup was easy and dogs were happy and safe which is what we love!! Very satisfied with the whole experience. We will definitely recommend Achara to friends and will be using her again!!”

He is a rescue dog who has experienced trauma, and this was the very first time I had left him with someone since adopting him two years ago. From the moment I dropped him off, she understood exactly what he needed. Rather than pushing interaction, she gave Atlas the space and time to come to her on his own terms while he adjusted to a new environment. That patience and understanding meant so much to me. About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. I’ve had dogs in my life for over 30 years — growing up with Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Border Collies, and Labs, and later caring for high-energy breeds like Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, and Dobermans as an adult. I don’t board dogs in my own home, since I have a resident cat (a very opinionated tabby mix), but I’m experienced with cats too, including Maine Coons and other long-haired breeds, if you need a sitter for feline friends as well. I’ve handled the less glamorous parts of the job without blinking: medication schedules, backyard cleanup, even a dog who met a skunk face-first. My standard for every visit is simple — when you get home, your house should look better than when you left it, and your dog should be fed, exercised, and ready to sleep well. I treat your home and your animal the way I’d want mine treated. I’m self-employed, so my schedule is flexible and mostly built around dog care. I’m generally available 8am–6pm on weekdays, with some days running later. In the summer heat, I keep an eye on pavement temperature and adjust walk times so it’s safe on paws — sometimes that means earlier or later in the day rather than midday. About: Happy to meet you! My name is Kat and I have a lifetime of experience caring for kittens and puppies, senior dogs and cats and every age between! I understand how important and deserving these critters are of joy and care. I am a patient and friendly caretaker and will do everything I can to minimize stress or disruption to an animal's daily routine, letting their behavior guide interactions and play. Trust me with your animals and they will come away from the interaction feeling cared for, well exercised and refreshed. I’m also familiar with administering oral medications to both cats and dogs and I have no problem administering that care. Dog walking: Your pet enjoys an exciting 30-minute or 60-minute walk, enjoying the sights and smells of the neighborhood. If communicated and agreed upon beforehand in a clear and timely manner, I’ll happily incorporate custom experiences into my visit. (favorite and familiar routes or any toys that they'd like to take with them, etc.) I'd also be happy to feed your pup if requested and ensure that they have access to fresh water. Drop-in service: I will ensure that your friend has fresh water that they enjoy as much play as they would like from me, and the comfort of companionship. I am flexible and will happily incorporate custom experiences such as feedings, administering oral medications during my visit if instructions are communicated clearly and agreed upon beforehand in a timely fashion.

“Achara did a great job from the beginning to end! She responded to all of our messages in a timely manner and had no problem answering any of my questions. We are very particular about our fur babies and worry a lot whenever we leave them so it was nice to have someone who was willing to reassure us repeatedly. Achara made sure to let our 2 puppies meet her dogs through a baby gate to make sure everyone got along perfectly first which was great. Our dogs and hers got along great. She sent us lots of pictures everyday to show us how our puppies were having a great time and playing. She took them walking and made sure they got to stay active like they do at home. Pickup was easy and dogs were happy and safe which is what we love!! Very satisfied with the whole experience. We will definitely recommend Achara to friends and will be using her again!!”

“I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Leaving Atlas for a full week was a huge step for me. He is a rescue dog who has experienced trauma, and this was the very first time I had left him with someone since adopting him two years ago. From the moment I dropped him off, she understood exactly what he needed. Rather than pushing interaction, she gave Atlas the space and time to come to her on his own terms while he adjusted to a new environment. That patience and understanding meant so much to me. Throughout his stay, she sent frequent updates and pictures, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She was always quick to respond whenever I reached out and made sure all of my instructions were followed carefully. If anything wasn’t clear, she asked questions rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, she treated Atlas like family. He received plenty of snuggles, attention, and playtime; including one of his favorite activities, fetch. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his comfort and happiness. She went above and beyond to make both Atlas and me feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the care she provided. The biggest sign of how well she cared for him came when I picked him up. Atlas was incredibly excited to see me, but after greeting me he ran back over to her for one last snuggle before we left. As his mom, that told me everything I needed to know about how safe, loved, and comfortable he felt during his stay. About: Nothing is more important to me than the health and safety of your family. Safety being most important, my next concern is that your dog has a positive and rewarding experience in any environment they find themselves. I train dogs. My walk price reflects that experience and value I add to your dog’s experiential learning. My core philosophy is that all learning be a positive incentive based experience for the dog. Boarding rates do not include dog training. Dogs in my care receive structure throughout their day including structured playtime, walks, training, and enrichment consistent with the needs of the client. Each dog is an individual, and I welcome a discussion to find out how I can best serve your dog’s individual needs! My demonstration dog is a 1.5 y/o Malinois Husky. He is stable with all dog breeds and sizes. I work him as a sport dog but he is built to be a companion dog. Dogs in B&T may be crated or in an exclusion room for compression and decompression when not actively being trained or exercised. They will also receive structured play and walks consistent with their individual goals.
“Katherine was a fantastic sitter for our senior pup Amara and I would happily be a return customer! She was available to accommodate Amara super last minute, which was life saving, and she really understood the needs of a senior doggo with a particular personality. She was very thorough, even communicating which vet she would use in case of emergency (don’t worry, no emergencies occurred!). They had a great time hanging out in her back yard, going on strolls and snuggling on the couch. Amara was a very happy girl at the end of her stay and I would definitely recommend Katherine as a Rover sitter!”
