“Shailyn did a fabulous job of communicating with twice daily texts, including photos, assuring me that my two kitty boys are being well taken care of! My condo and fur babies were in excellent condition upon my return – would definitely recommend!”

“Rita is always willing to work with our scheduling requests and always communicates with us for everything. The cute pictures of our pup that are sent when Rita is here, shows her care and compassion to keep us informed and confident that our loved is in good hands. Thank you Rita.”

About: I’ve taken care of almost all breeds of dogs for more then 20 years. I provide a safe, loving, caring and playful environment for your pup. Always fresh water, playtime, and food as needed. Also comfy beds for nap time. During this period that I'm taking this job, my routine is just taking care of the dogs. I take them to the park twice a day and walk them! The rest of the time I'm always near them at home! So, they certainly don't lack attention here! My dogs are sociable and friendly; I have a 2-year-old and an 8-month-old poodle who play well around the house! The routine would be the same, and I would provide the necessary care that the owner needs! Treating them with the same love I treat my own!
“Zlata took the best care of our pup and our home!! Was super communicative and sent lots of pics and videos. We’ll definitely be having her back next time we need a sitter!”
About: I’ve had puppies and rescues since age 5. I’ve trained puppies and special needs senior dogs with love and consistency. A tired dog is a good dog! I’m currently open to sitting/visiting/walking during the day. I can also offer bathing. I have experience with a variety of needs and sizes. I’ve never been without a dog by my side! I have a large fenced yard and have large dogs. I take them to the beach and dog parks regularly. I’m open to unsocialized dogs who need independent, at home care as well.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages, not to mention I have experience with reptiles, amphibians, and fish. I’m available at most hours of the day to provide regular walking, feeding, or even playing with your pets. I’m currently enrolled part time in community college, so I’ll have a lot time available to take care of any pets. Any time from 7:00 AM to 10:00PM will work for me. In areas close to me, I can easily check in at least twice a day. I’m also open to staying overnight if there’s a pet that can’t be left alone for long periods.
“Cindy was an excellent sitter staying in our home. She took care of our two dogs like they were her own. She was very helpful in bringing our packages in and more importantly our two girls got lots of love and attention. We will definitely use her to stay with our dogs again! Highly recommend!”

About: I've been around animals my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience and attention as well as senior dogs who require a gentler approach. I'm comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, walks, playtime, and providing plenty of companionship. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet as if they were my own. I prioritize communication with pet parents by providing regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both you and your pet and make sure they receive the same love and attention they're used to at home. I am currently working part-time but looking for a way to help out some people in the area with their furry friends! Available almost everyday. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. In clients’ homes, I follow all care instructions closely, maintain a clean environment, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Christine did a fabulous job taking care of my animals. She sent photos and videos daily which I loved. My house was clean when I returned. I would highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter. Thank you Christine for being the caring person that you are!”

“Reanna is excellent. We have three dogs each with something that makes them special. We have an 80 pound pitbull with leash reactivity, a nearly 14 year old senior pit mix whose age is definitely showing but he’s still a sweetheart, and a beagle (enough said). Needless to say we’re very cautious with choosing a dog sitter and Reanna took wonderful care of our three pups, including house sitting, walking all three individually, and giving pills. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi, I'm Lexi! I've grown up alongside 2-3 dogs, which has inspired my love for any and all animals! I've pet-sat a wide variety of animals (list is below) and have 3 years of experience volunteering at animal shelters. Their happiness is my happiness :) I only pet-sit on days where I'm off from work, so I'll be right there to hang out with your fur babies all day! They can freely roam inside and outside (we also have a indoor/outdoor sunroom and a fenced-in yard), they're allowed on beds/furniture, and I won’t practice crating unless I'm instructed to. I live right by a park, so I love taking my dogs for short walks or just to go roam around in the lawn, whatever they're in the mood for :) I'm super attentive to their needs, as I currently own two senior doggos (a beagle and a dachshund) and have been able to spot even the littlest physical/emotional changes in them. On that note, I’d prefer to ONLY board dogs that are not high-energy, so as to help keep my small senior dogs safe. I love keeping owners updated and make them feel like their fur babies are right there with them! Animals I've cared for: Dogs, cats, leopard geckos, hognose snakes, hedgehogs, and White's tree frogs. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I love starting the day by taking my dogs to the park that's 2 min away for a walk. If they seem bored, I’ll give them a car ride or take them to PetSmart to shop around :) I have a fenced in yard and two senior dogs to keep your fur baby company. Your puppo is more than welcome to chill on our beds and couches (we have dog beds, too). We even have a guest room in case they want space! We live right by Walter Fuller recreational park.
“Shannon took such great care of our two pups! She provided many great pictures and also took great care of our house while she stayed with them, as we came back to our house being pristine. Highly recommend!”

“Cristina came through for us on Christmas 🎅 Gave us the chance to go see family this year. Always going above and beyond to take care of our loved one Frecks❤️Thank you!”

“April is simply the best! She cared for my cat while I was on a 2 week vacation and I could not recommend her enough! She went above and beyond and provided the utmost care for my little guy!”

“Minda has once again gone above and beyond! We were out of town during the time that a hurricane hit the area and Minda took care of our dogs and our house during the storm and subsequent power outage. I would not have trusted anyone as much I trusted Minda to care for our dogs in such a crazy time. Even though there was a major storm, Minda stayed in contact with us and provided us with updates the whole time. We cannot thank Minda enough for her kindness and care.”

“Donna was a fantastic in-home pet sitter for my dog Sky. Sky is elderly and needed a lot of attention and Donna was very caring. She made sure she received meds and walks right on schedule. She was also very neat and clean in my home. I highly recommend Donna.”

“Joli was very accommodating to a last-minute schedule change, and was great with Greg Junior! So happy to be able to recommend her to other pet owners, and she is a natural with dogs!”

“Blaize was very responsive and messaged me multiple times to coordinate my pup’s care and ask questions. She also sent multiple photos. She also left my place very clean. We had some back and forth over the start and end time, but she was able to stay for most of the booking time. Highly recommend! Thanks Blaize!”

“We were very pleased with Susie, the boys responded very well to her friendly demeanor. She was punctual, professional, and left the house in good condition! This was our first time leaving our babies behind and we were nervous but with all the pictures and communication we felt at ease. We would definitely request Susie again in the future.”

Rita is always willing to work with our scheduling requests and always communicates with us for everything. The cute pictures of our pup that are sent when Rita is here, shows her care and compassion to keep us informed and confident that our loved is in good hands. Thank you Rita.

I truly cannot recommend Walter enough, we had a sitter abandon our pets mid-stay while we were traveling abroad and Walter was able to step in and not only ensure our pets were cared for but truly loved! He took them on walks, played and hung out outside with them, and let the pets sleep in the bed with him. On top of all of that, he even cleaned all of the sheets and comfortable prior to my arrival back home. We will be using Walter again for our future travels.

Sandra is an animal lover no doubt! She enjoyed her time with Mickie taking great care of her while I was gone. Her communication skills are excellent, keeping in touch with me constantly. Sandra dog sits in the customers home, gets the mail and takes care of the home. I would not hesitate to call in Sandra again if the need arises!

Sam was amazing! I definitely recommend her. She house sat for me last minute. Will definitely be booking again. My dogs and my cat can be very shy with new people, but they all warmed up to her really well right away. She gave them lots of attention and she sent me lots of photos. Sam left my house cleaner than I left it and her communication was great. Thanks Sam!

I could not be more pleased with the impeccable care Melanie provided for my pup! She was so kind, caring, communicative, and accommodating! Thank you so much Melanie!

FAQs for House Sitting - Redington Beach
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Redington Beach on Rover is $46.62 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,559 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Redington Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redington Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redington Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redington Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Redington Beach. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
