About: I’ve spent enough time around animals to know they all run on their own logic, and I’m good at meeting them where they are. Some need structure, some need space, some just need someone steady in the room. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their setup and their rules so the pet’s routine doesn’t get disrupted. I handle the basics — feeding, cleaning, litter or yard time, meds if needed — and I keep an eye on their behavior so I can tell if something’s off. I move calmly and respectfully in their space, and I make sure the pet feels like everything is normal even though someone new is there. No matter where I’m caring for them, I focus on consistency, awareness, and keeping the animal comfortable. Every pet has their own way of doing things, and I’m good at reading that and meeting them where they are.

“Vanessa was a trooper taking care of a dog afraid of thunderstorms, 8 barn cats, and 2 horses! She stopped by for a meet and great ahead of our trip and did a wonderful job communicating with us while we were away, sending photos, videos, and updates. She was able to calm our poor dog when we had a thunderstorm and everyone seemed health and happy when we returned! She even watered my garden and plants. Already planning to book her for some future trips!”
