“Kristi was great and did all the things and followed k structure a for our dogs care to the T. She is super loving with the dogs and let mine cuddle her ❤️ I highly recommend her for your pets care.”

“Brandy is great! She is very reliable and communicative. I have a large dog who can be a lot to handle around other dogs and she does great with him. Brandy also house sat for me when my dog had a minor injury. She was on top of managing his care and reporting on his progress while I was away--and sent lots of great pictures. To boot, I returned to a very clean house. I highly recommend Brandy!”

About: I’ve always had at least one animal since i was a child, I’ve worked as a kennel tech and I’ve been to vet school! I have a couple cats and a dog, they are my WORLD!! My dog had a bad life before I adopted him, and I completely trained him myself with very little help. He is a perfect, well behaved angel now! My schedule is pretty open! I am a stay at home wife and I’m in school, so I have plenty of time on my hands to care for your pets! I am thoroughly knowledgeable on all things dog safety related, my pooch has had a rough go at it so I’ve take courses on animal CPR, de-escalation training, and I am familiar with taking care of animals with health issues. Every pet is different and they all need varying levels of care and comfort requirements.
“We had such a wonderful experience with Laura watching our dog, Karma! We were gone for a week for our destination wedding and we were able to fully enjoy our time knowing she was well taken care of and in good hands! Laura was very diligent about taking lots of notes over all of Karma’s routines and needs when we initially met with her and kept us updated on her each day that we were gone!”

“Yet a again, MacKenzie met all our needs and was terrific when it came to our 80lbs bulldog/ 12lbs. Chihuahua. Mckenzie was responsive and gave updates throughout our vacation. In fact, Mckenzie went above and beyond by shoveling paths for the dogs to use the bathroom after a snow storm. Highly recommend A++”

“Greg did an excellent job taking care of the boys and the house. The boys loved him. I am not sure they missed us at all. We would definitely have him watch our boys again.”

“I was super nervous having someone new stay with Zorro, because it’s been a long time. Due to a new nephew who wanted to make an early entrance to the world, I had to find someone on short notice. Linda has been amazing! We were able to do a meet and greet right away. She has been so patient and flexible, even adding an extra day so I could stay to help family. She took great care of Zorro and kept me updated. I am very grateful and would definitely recommend her to take care of your fur babies!”

“Sue is the perfect dog sitter. She brings her own food and drink. Stays all day and night. Cleans up and takes her garbage out. Sends lots of pictures and videos and is great with our dog Thor. You can tell she really loves what she does. I think Thor misses her after she left! If she is available book her. You won't regret it.”
“Paloma is wonderful! Our dogs love her and love being able to stay at home when we’re away. She communicates regularly and we would definitely love to book with her again!”

“Just lovely. Dogs were relaxed and very happy when we returned, and the house was perfect. Deb is kind and very patient, even with our “problem child”. Highly recommend!!”

About: Hello! I’ve worked with pets of all ages, from young puppies to senior cats. As a cat mom myself, I know that pets are family, and how important it is for your pet to be with someone they can trust while you’re away. I have extensive experience providing attention and active engagement with all types of pets. I would love to care for your pets and provide them with a welcoming, trusting face while you're away. I work full-time, but have options to work from home if needed, and can use lunch breaks as a potty break for your furry friend. I love spending time with pets, providing them with enrichment, and a loving, interactive environment. I care for pets by providing them with proper attention and watching their behaviors to determine cues. I have extensive experience with both cats and dogs, providing them with a welcoming environment with someone they, and you, can trust.
“Theresa will go above and beyond to make sure your home and animals are safe. Our pups love and trust her. We’re so grateful to have met her. We will 100% book again.”

“Candy took great care of Selene while I was out of town. She sent daily pictures of activities and constantly updated me with how Selene was doing while I was away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Abbie was absolutely wonderful! She has such a bright a bubbly personality, our dogs warmed up to her really fast which was surprising and made me feel really happy. Shes really great about sending photos and communicating throughout the time she was with them. I would absolutely recommend her.”

“If you are on the fence about Charity, I hope this interview helps you decide. Charity watched our dog at our house for 5 days in a row. Before accepting, she did an in person consultation and was prepared with her own questions and requested anything necessary to provide the best service possible. She communicated prior to, and daily, with text, pictures and/or video. She can manage multiple clients at the same time and will not compromise on your agreements. These things may be a given but to be explicit - our dog was nurtured, nothing was damaged or stolen, she helped with the trash removal. Thank you for your time, skill, and excellence!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ralston
She did a fantastic job. Our dog is usually very anxious when we return from a trip and with Mackenzie she was very comfortable which told me she was well taken care of. Our house was clean upon our return as well which was great. We will be asking for Mackenzie’s help in the future!
Rylee watched our dog at our house for a long weekend. Everything went smoothly, and Rylee followed all of our directions. He apparently had a great time because sometimes he's needy on our return but he was calm and chill after his initial excitement. Highly recommend Rylee!

This will be our last time with Megan -as she is moving away. She has been the best dog sitter for now 15 year old chihuahua over the last few years. As boy’s medical needs became more complicated, Megan took him on and did a fabulous job. We were so lucky to have her take care of King.

We had an amazing experience with Margaret as our dog and cat sitter! She took such great care of our pets and made sure all of their needs were met while we were away. She was extremely communicative, kept us updated, and gave us so much peace of mind. On top of that, she left our house spotless and treated everything with so much care and respect. We could truly tell she loves animals and goes above and beyond for them. We would absolutely trust Margaret again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Kelsey was AMAZING. Would 10/10 recommend and rebook. She was amazing with my mini dachshund who is a very needy boy. He usually doesn’t do well with strangers but Ace was immediately comfortable with her. She kept my place very tidy, watered my plants, and kept me updated with daily pictures and super sweet messages. She truly goes above and beyond to provide care and eased my concerns of leaving my dog alone for the first time. Looking forward to rebooking with Kelsey!

Robert provided in-home sitting services for our 2 special needs rescue Wheatens. Our dogs require extreme patience, kindness and even some heavy lifting. One dog is not yet adjusted to her new life and is afraid of most everyone and everything. Robert was able to work with her and even get her to warm up to him so much more than we would have ever expected. The other dog is a ball of energy that needs to be watched closely. Robert handled both of these handfuls marvelously. This is the first time using Rover and doing in home sitting services and from day one of our trip it was clear Robert was up to the task making our worries, concerns and anxiety about leaving “the girls” unfounded and helped us be comfortable and relaxed about being gone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ralston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ralston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ralston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ralston. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
