Safety, trust & environment

I am currently only offering services in my clients' homes as I currently live with someone who does not want to be a part of my Rover journey. In any case, I will keep the space clean and/or in the same condition as when you left. I do ask that you clean the home prior to my arrival. You can be confident that your pet will be taken care of well while you are away!

Information Marie V. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your pet has any special needs. I do not accept caring for any pets or animals with a history of biting or aggression. I have been attacked by a dog with an undisclosed history of biting/agresssion, while pet-sitting, in the past and I do not do well with any animals in that realm.

A typical day

I will start the day with any feeding requirements and generally give your pet plenty attention and ability to go outside to use the bathroom (if applicable) and let out of their kennel/enclosed area, if they aren't permitted free reign of the home. We will then start our morning with a walk (if physically capable) around the block to ensure we both get our exercise for the morning. Lunch time will be spent with me studying/working, with your pet nearby, they will have access to plenty of pets and snuggles while I work and access to outside if they need to go potty outside. After I'm done for the day, we will go for another walk in the evening, where they can let out some energy and get more exercise in for the day. Following the walk or before, depending on time of day, I will feed the pets dinner as well, depending on their feeding schedule. We'll spend the evening together while I study and I'll take breaks to play with them and also give them plenty of affection.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Marie! I do Rover full-time, and I genuinely love it. I’m pretty quiet, clean, and home a lot — which works well for pets who like company and a calm routine. I’m the type of sitter who: • sends updates at your preferred frequency • keeps your home clean • follows your routines exactly • and makes sure your pets feel safe and cared for I’ve worked with all kinds of animals — senior dogs, anxious dogs, high-energy dogs, cats with attitudes, cats who just need someone gentle around. I adjust to whatever your pet needs. I’m very respectful of people’s homes. I don’t treat your space like a hotel. I usually spend most of my time reading, editing photos, cooking, or working from my laptop, so your pets get a lot of presence and consistency. Clients tell me they book me because I’m easy to communicate with, trustworthy, and they come home to relaxed pets and a clean house. I take that seriously — it matters to me that you feel at ease while you’re away. If you think I might be a good fit for your pets, feel free to reach out. I’d love to help.
