“Haeli did an awesome job watching three dogs with vastly different energy levels and eating schedules. She kept them extremely well cared for and our house in great condition. Haeli is the best and we cannot recommend her services more!”

“Courtney was an ideal last-minute sitter for our dogs. Our pups had unique needs: one has only one eye and a runny nose, while the other had just been neutered with a cone and required medication. Courtney kept us informed about their well-being and left the place in pristine condition when we returned home. Her professionalism, flexibility, and exceptional care for our furry companions made her an excellent choice. We highly recommend her services and will definitely be booking her again for future travel. Thanks, Courtney!”

“Ami was a fantastic house sitter with our dog Chip! She came over earlier in the week to introduce herself and meet our dog. She is incredibly friendly, engaging and a great communicator. Any questions she was quick to reply via text message and she sent some great pictures of Chip while we were gone to ensure they were doing great! Also part a very nice followup note for us when we returned home. I would highly recommend her and we’ll definitely utilize her services again!”

“This is my second time using Erika and once again she was fantastic! She keeps in constant contact, and goes above and beyond to ensure the dogs are well cared for. She even tends to house duties like trash and other things completely unprompted. I cannot say enough good things about her! She will be the first person we call anytime we need a pet sitter!! Thank you for everything Erika!!”

“Mark was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! So attentive and went above and beyond, especially during a very stressful time for animals…4th of July. He was very communicative, and we always knew what was going on with our pups regularly. It meant so much to us that we could relax on vacation knowing they were well taken care of! Will definitely be working with Mark in the future!”

“Lynn is THE BEST. She cared for our dog like he was her own! She gave so much attention and love to him and spent so much quality time with him. She truly enjoys being with your animal and that means a lot! We will use her again if she is available.”

“If you are on the fence about Charity, I hope this interview helps you decide. Charity watched our dog at our house for 5 days in a row. Before accepting, she did an in person consultation and was prepared with her own questions and requested anything necessary to provide the best service possible. She communicated prior to, and daily, with text, pictures and/or video. She can manage multiple clients at the same time and will not compromise on your agreements. These things may be a given but to be explicit - our dog was nurtured, nothing was damaged or stolen, she helped with the trash removal. Thank you for your time, skill, and excellence!”

“This was the first time my partner and I left our cats longer than eight hours since we adopted them. I knew I wanted to make sure they had someone who could not only to feed them twice a day, but provide a presence for them. Jason took care of our cats while we were gone and when we arrived, it was like they hardly noticed we were gone. They were happy to see us, of course, but they were perfectly content and happy when we got home. Jason gave us constant updates and photos during our trip and honestly left our home better than he found it (we gave it an honest go of cleaning before leaving!). We will definitely try to book with Jason again should we take another trip.”

“Brandy is great! She is very reliable and communicative. I have a large dog who can be a lot to handle around other dogs and she does great with him. Brandy also house sat for me when my dog had a minor injury. She was on top of managing his care and reporting on his progress while I was away--and sent lots of great pictures. To boot, I returned to a very clean house. I highly recommend Brandy!”

“I was very nervous leaving my daisy while we went on vacation. She gets high anxiety when we leave. Kendra sent us pictures and updates the whole time. Plus our daisy was so comfortable with her, it was so much easier to enjoy our vacation. She was awesome!!! I only want her services from now on.”

“Kristi was great and did all the things and followed k structure a for our dogs care to the T. She is super loving with the dogs and let mine cuddle her ❤️ I highly recommend her for your pets care.”

“Jessica did great with our 3 dogs. She sent a lot of updates and kept us informed on how our dogs were doing. She also did a fun little craft with them. We would use her again!”

“Greg did an excellent job taking care of the boys and the house. The boys loved him. I am not sure they missed us at all. We would definitely have him watch our boys again.”

“Patrick is very pleasant to interact with. Very patient with the dogs and they fell in love with him. Great communication. He took great care of my fur babies and my home.”

“I recently booked Marc to take care of my cat. She's definitely a less than friendly feline with strangers, and he was great with her. She requires meds twice a day and he had zero issues getting her taken care of. I'd absolutely recommend Marc to take care of any animal if you need help.”

About: I've grown up with always more than one animal in the household, and loving them is second nature. When my family and friends need someone to help take care of the pets, I am always the first option! I have taken care if lots of cats and dogs, but a few fish throughout the years too. I have experience not only with general pet care such as, feeding, walking, playing/enrichment, but also with giving medications. Some dog breeds I have worked with (or lived with) are German Shepards, Yellow Labs, and mutts that are a mix of medium/bigger dogs or small dachshund mixes. And a lot of different cat personalities! The distant and quiet ones who keep to themselves and the ones who need your attention the second you walk through your door! Either way, I have always loved them no matter what, and continue to love them still. I am not currently working so my days are opened for anything, anytime! I may be finding a part time job soon, if I do not have lots of pets to watch, but something that still keeps my schedule open and flexible. I am always willing to wake up early or stay up late because I have the free time and flexibility! In my home, my cat never has a missed meal, he has clean and running water 24/7, and a handful of toys available for enrichment! A handheld laser always nearby for sudden play time is anecessity! As for my client's pets, I will always follow instructions step by step and detail by detail, no matter if feeding times includes something silly to get the fur baby to actually eat their food, I will always do it! And I am not the kind of person to just stop in, do what I need to do, and leave. I will make sure the pet is well loved and knows that I am there for them.

“Mercedes was super reliable and we could tell our dogs were happy and healthy upon returning from our vacation! She kept us updated with daily photos and videos. I could tell she treated our dogs just as well as we do! She also took great care of our home while we were away, keeping things tidy and watering plants. We will definitely book with Mercedes again!”

About: I’ve always had at least one animal since i was a child, I’ve worked as a kennel tech and I’ve been to vet school! I have a couple cats and a dog, they are my WORLD!! My dog had a bad life before I adopted him, and I completely trained him myself with very little help. He is a perfect, well behaved angel now! My schedule is pretty open! I am a stay at home wife and I’m in school, so I have plenty of time on my hands to care for your pets! I am thoroughly knowledgeable on all things dog safety related, my pooch has had a rough go at it so I’ve take courses on animal CPR, de-escalation training, and I am familiar with taking care of animals with health issues. Every pet is different and they all need varying levels of care and comfort requirements.

Ami was absolutely amazing with our husky mix 5 month old! We were nervous as he’s never had a sitter before but he loves meeting new people and Ami was the perfect sitter for him. Took him on walks and followed our instructions that were left for him about his schedule. Would recommend her to anyone as dogs are naturally drawn to her energy ☺️

alexis looked after our dogs for 9 days and she was the best person we could have asked to do this job. she updated us constantly and sent pictures of our dogs, she also left the house cleaner than what it was. we would definitely use her to watch our dogs again and they had an amazing time with her!

Addison took fantastic care of our 2 dogs over the weekend and they had a great time with her. She was reliable, communicative and thoroughly professional from start to finish. We really appreciated the frequent updates and photos. We are grateful for the excellent care she gave our dogs and would happily book her again.

Kendra was fantastic! She stayed in my home for 7 night and took exceptional care of my dog and cat. I received multiple updates and pictures each day and she was extremely responsive anytime I reached out. My home was exactly how I left it, if not more tidy. I will definitely be using her again to watch my girls when out of town.
Kate was amazing and went above and beyond caring for our girls! This was our first time leaving them with someone outside our family and she made us feel completely at ease. One of our dogs is very timid but loved her, and she took great care of our dog with heart problems, giving her medication on time and keeping them on their normal routine. I highly recommend Kate and would definitely book with her again.

Abigail did an amazing job watching our cat for the week! She gave her extra attention and care, provided pictures and videos everyday, and responded to any messages I sent very timely. Our cat was a happy cat when we returned all thanks to Abigail! Would highly recommend!

Analee was great. She was great with Simon and Sully and great with her communication. The boys really liked her and they especially liked her son Hunter. He was a first class playmate and they had a blast. When we got home the house was perfect and Simon and Sully were worn out from playing! Can't ask for more. We will book Annalee again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Green Meadows walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Green Meadows maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Green Meadows choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Green Meadows. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
