About: I've been around animals my whole life. I value them and their connection with humans. I'm patient and understanding when it comes to your pets. I’m a current volunteer at my location Humane Society. I do prefer to sit on weekends but I'm open to discussion on days and times during the week. I’m very open to communicating on availability. I'm very patient and will take the time to earn your pet's trust. I'm all about having positive energy and a safe environment for any pet that I care for. I’ve gone through dog training at my local Humane Society and I’m great at reading dogs body language.
“So thankful Marc was able to help over Easter weekend - I had been stressed about leaving the dog alone for a handful of hours though when Marc agreed to help spend some time with her, knew she was going to be in the best hands!! Made the day less stressful!!”

About: I love dogs and cats. I have had them my whole life! My labrador just passed away so I am looking for some pet interaction! I miss her dearly. I have taken care of both dogs and cats with special needs, behavioral issues, and senior pets. I love taking both on walks, car rides, park trips, etc. whatever they like to do! Currently working a hybrid job so I can work from home if needed. I’m more of a home body so I will have plenty of chill time with your fur babies. I also like going on outdoor adventures like walks and dog parks weather permitting. At home I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. There is one friendly dog and one solitary but other pet friendly senior cat. Both can be secluded to the upstairs if needed.
About: I have been a dog own for almost 30 years. From puppies to seniors, small to large, I love them all! While you are away, I want to give your best friend the same love and attention that you would give them. I work full-time during the week, but have plenty of time on the weekends. My daughter is off at college so I have all the time in the world on the weekend to hang out with your pup. I am happy to spend the night if that is what works for you. I can stop in multiple times per day and I am willing to stay the night with your pup if that something that you would like
About: Always have had deep love for animals. Because of family members, I've had experiences with a wide range of pets. I love to train dogs and would love to provide that during my pet sitting. I also acknowledge not only the importance of your pet, but of you, your family, and the home I work in. I am currently a full-time college student at the University of Omaha. My availabilities would be every day of the week with exceptions of class and my part-time job at Boys Town. I would provide care for my clients in their home, due to my apartment's animal restrictions. I respect the privacy of my clients by clarifying boundaries and rules for the home.
“Linda has been walking Smokey for a year and has been fantastic to work with. She’s flexible, always willing to help out in a pinch and most importantly Smokey adores her. We feel so lucky to have found her!”

About: I've had cats for 16 years, so I feel very comfortable around cats and know what makes them happy! I have dog sat on multiple occasions and I love dog walking! I work Monday-Thursday, 8am-3pm! On the weekends, my days are usually pretty open! I can do visits before or after work and my mom is free in the afternoons and could cover the afternoon shift if needed (she is also on rover). I follow each owner's instructions to make sure their pet’s routine is maintained! I make sure pets always have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention in their home :)
About: I've taken care of lots of different dogs since I was in high school. From puppies to senior dogs, I've taken care of them all. As an avid animal lover, I began walking dogs through the humane society during college when I could not have a dog of my own yet and learned helpful dog walking tips. I am great at handling high energy dogs and am comfortable with reactive dogs. I will send lots of pictures and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is in good hands! I’m currently working my summer job so my mornings to mid afternoon are usually busy but I can always find time for your pet whether that be a potty break or needed to be fed! Evenings and nights are typically free. I think the most important part of caring for pets is understanding what they need/like. Some pets enjoy being attached to your hip and want all your attention, while others could care less. I think meeting each pet's needs and meeting them in the middle of what they want is the most important part of caring for pets. Respecting the pet's boundaries and the owner's wishes is how I care for pets.

About: I have always had a strong love for animals and experience caring for pets. I am an Animal Science student at UNL with a focus on companion animals. I grew up with a Yorkie Schnauzer mix. I played with her, took her on walks, and was instrumental in her care as she aged and experienced health problems. I also have experience pet sitting for friends and am a volunteer at the Nebraska Humane Society. I am responsible, dependable, and passionate about making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I go back to Lincoln August 19th for school and would be happy to care for your pets up until then! As a college student, my schedule offers a great deal of flexibility, especially during the week and on weekends. I am able to work with different schedules and am happy to coordinate with you to find times that work best. I am available weekdays in the mornings and afternoons until 3pm, and on weekends anytime after 5! I will provide care for pets in their own home or neighborhood, depending on the service needed. I am happy to provide dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, and companionship while making sure each pet stays comfortable in their familiar environment. I will follow instructions carefully and keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible.
About: New to Rover but not to dogs! I love showing animals the patience and care they deserve. I have experience with puppies who have high energy, as well as older dogs who prefer life at a slower pace. Both of my dogs are rescues and they live a very spoiled life! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! Dogs feel more comfortable when they know what to expect, so I like to keep a good routine of making sure my dogs get their walks in! I provide attentive, individualized care by following each pet’s routine, including feeding, exercise, and any special instructions, to ensure consistency and comfort. I maintain a clean, safe environment while keeping owners updated with regular communication and promptly addressing any concerns.

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having grown up with dogs, I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, or just relaxing with lots of belly rubs, I’m happy to match their needs. I’m very active, so if your dog enjoys getting outside and burning off energy, we’ll have plenty of adventures together. At the same time, I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll care for your dog the same way I would my own—with lots of attention, patience, affection, and regular updates so you always know how they’re doing. Hi! I’m a college student and lifelong dog lover who’s been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember. I have a 5-year-old Mini Goldendoodle of my own, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. Caring for dogs has always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s unique personality. I currently work part-time as an overnight CNA at a hospital, so caring for others is something I’m passionate about. My work schedule changes from week to week, but it also gives me flexibility to fit pet care into my routine. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit both of our schedules. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, so if your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, or getting plenty of exercise, we’ll have a great time together! If your pup is more laid-back, I’m just as happy to spend time cuddling, playing indoors, and making sure they feel safe and loved. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own and provide plenty of love, attention, and updates with photos so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home, so I do everything I can to keep their routine consistent while you’re away. I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of love, attention, exercise, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and, of course, lots of playtime and cuddles. I’ll carefully follow any instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, bedtime routines, or anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable. My goal is to make your time away as easy as possible for both you and your dog. I’ll also treat your home with the utmost respect and send regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and receiving the same care and attention I’d give my own dog.

“First time using Rover and Kathryn made the experience very easy and absolutely worth it. Although my pupper can’t talk I have no doubts she would like to have Kathryn visit again. Thank you!”

“Taylor is such an amazing dog walker. She helped us tremendously with our dog Chief and was always willing to help us and be flexible with Chiefs needs. She always puts the dogs needs about her own and cares for her animals. Chief was not feeling well a couple times and she made sure she went to our house multiple times that day to make sure Chief was okay. We are lucky to have found her to help us!”
“Sarah was so kind and patient with our senior dog, who can tend to be pretty protective of other people in her house. Sarah handled it like a champ! We can’t wait to work with her again!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Green Meadows
Lizbeth is great with our Cassie and the walk and playtime leave Cassie happy and tired. We realized how much Cassie adores Lizbeth when Cassie bounced all over the living room when Lizbeth came in - it’s nice to know your pup is happy with the person caring for them.

Mark came to watch my dog overnight. He even took him on a long walk - even when he didn’t have to. It was a warm night so Mark brought his own water bottle and dish to use for Wrigley on their walk. Sent me photos and communicated well throughout. Cannot recommend more highly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
