“Jessica stayed with our pets and took great care of both them and our house while we were on vacation. She is quick with communication responses and easy to work with and get updates from. Our pets seemed happy and relaxed when we got back. Thanks so much - would happily book Jessica again and definitely recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of a good amount of breeds from huskies to chihuahuas. I have loved every single one that it melts my heart every time i see them. I have a dog of my own and she’s a sassy silly lazy girl. I enjoy cuddling with dogs and just having fun with them. Going on walks, playing with toys, watching a movie and going through a roller coaster of emotions, i can do a lot with dogs! i can also ensure that i will provide as much goofy photos of possible if wanted (i will be taking because its funny and brings up the vibes) I work super early so I’m available for majority of the day. I’ll leave at the crack of the morning and come back in the morning still! i’m able to take all dogs out for a potty break in between work as well and just give them attention if that’s all they need! I treat my pets like my fur babies. they are my children so i talk to them as if i have teenage kids going through their moody phase. with other people’s dogs i can present my self calmly or energized depending on what they need. i love including them in everything if they want. like if they want to help me fold laundry, cook, clean, or just watch a movie then we are all doing it as a group.
About: I really love dogs, have one of my own, and will always have at least one dog. As far as cats go, I grew up with one, and even though I don't have one now, I really care for these guys. I work mostly from home, doing business that is based on product reviews. It's the type of work where I am very flexible, so I can step out from time to time to take care of pets. I don't think I should have another pet in my home as my dog doesn't get along with other dogs, but I have recent experience taking care of pets in people's houses.
“Our review mirrors those before us. Amanda went above and beyond, and we have a very special case. Clear and consistent communication with us, responsive care of our rescue pup, and even a bit of humor (Go Bobcats!). We've had many Rover caretakers who we have invited again, but Amanda is at the top of our list after this visit (please don't book her we want her).”

“Audrey did a wonderful job pet-sitting our 13 year old dog and tending our houseplants while we were away on vacation for a week. She was very responsive to our requests for updates and photos via text and also didn't hesitate to ask questions about anything she was unsure about. The house was in perfect shape when we got back. Would highly recommend her.”

“Sara is amazing! She takes her sitting seriously and loves my cats like her own. I’ve booked with her for both drop-in and overnights. She’s on-time, her communication is fantastic and I feel confident in leaving my cats and home in her meticulous care. I’m sure my cats love her as they wind around her legs immediately every time she comes over. Book with Sara today, you and your cats will not regret it!”

“Arsen took great care of Eddie and my house. Eddie was very happy and ate his food while Arsen was there, which, if he doesn't feel comfortable, will not do. My house was spotless and my flowers were thriving. I will definitely book Arsen again.”

“Kasey did a great job. We kept in contact often. I left instructions and Kasey did a great job with that. If she had a question, she asked. The biggest tell is that my animals were very happy and relaxed when we got back!!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10. I have cared for a blind senior cat as well as a cat with hip problems, which required patience, close monitoring, and adapting the environment to keep them safe and comfortable. I currently help care for my friend’s senior dog, who also has hip and dental issues, so I’m familiar with administering gentle support, maintaining comfort, and being attentive to mobility limitations and pain cues. In addition, I have experience caring for younger animals, including kittens and puppies around 12 weeks old. This has given me practice with high-energy care, feeding routines, supervision, and basic early-life behavior management. Overall, I’m comfortable working with both senior pets and young animals, and I adjust my care style based on each pet’s specific health, energy level, and personality needs. Pet care fits into my routine pretty easily because I currently have a part-time job with a very variable schedule. Since my shifts change from week to week, I’m generally flexible and available most days with some notice. This flexibility allows me to adjust around pet care responsibilities like feeding, walks, check-ins, or overnight stays when needed. I’m also used to planning my time in a way that ensures animals are consistently cared for, even on busier days, so I can reliably fit pet care into my weekly schedule. In my home, I would make sure any pet is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. While my apartment doesn’t have a backyard, there is a fenced-in area nearby where dogs can run, play fetch, and get exercise. I also have a car, so if the owner is comfortable with it, I can take the dogs to a dog park for additional enrichment and activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions are followed closely. I’m also very mindful of respecting the home itself. I was raised to always leave a place cleaner than I found it, so I make sure everything is kept tidy, organized, and exactly as I found it. Communication is also important to me, so I always update owners and let them know right away if anything seems off or if there are any concerns about their pet’s health, behavior, or well-being.
About: I grew up around dogs, they are my best friends, I have a five-year-old doggo named "Something-Liquid" who I trained myself. He is my father's dog's son. I love him with my whole heart and I will love and care for your dog the same Luke 7:12 KJV. I am flexible with pricing, so if you need adjustments just reach out and let me know! REPEAT CUSTOMERS ARE SUBJECT TO LOWER RATES I work during the week as my dog Something Liquid's babysits the house. I come home in the evenings and then it is playtime with the doggos! I have a fenced backyard with room for play, I have an ambitious four-year-old doggy so your dog will never be alone. We have a dog door, during the day so there is always access to outside! I also have a 42-inch crate that's door remains open if your dog prefers to chill out or in crates. it is just a fun experience.
“Aeries did really good watching over my dog and 2 cats. I will definitely be bringing her back next time I leave. She was very attentive and gave me updates (pictures) daily. 💚 Really great service!”

“Noah is a wonderful doggy sitter! Not only was he phenomenal with my shy dog, he was very communicative and frequently sent pictures and updates. And, he won my dog’s love in no time! I will definitely be having him back for more dog/house sitting.”

“Maggie is amazing with all our critters. Having her staying at our place with the dogs and other pets gives us a great piece of mind knowing everyone is taken care of. She is fast at communicating and understands when we want to see photos of the pups when we are gone. The house looked cleaner than we left it which was nice to come home to. Will defiantly re-book with Maggie.”

About: I have worked professionally with dogs for the past 4 years, and have had experience caring for them personally throughout most of my life. I also occasionally volunteer at the Whitman County Humane Society. I am comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments, and have plenty of experience with administering medications, following elaborate care instructions, and cleaning all kinds of messes. I love dogs and love keeping them happy and healthy! I am currently in between jobs, so my availability is pretty wide open. If you are considering me for your pet’s care, I can make as many home visits during the day as you need and am able to stay with your pet overnight as well. Due to sharing my living space with others, I am not available to have pets stay with me in my home at this time. I have a fear-free approach when handling animals, and will let them choose the pacing of our interactions. I want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible!
About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds in my home. While I currently only have a cat, I’ve been the owner of several dogs, a couple snakes, a bearded dragon and I’m not afraid of really any type of animal. I have a pretty open schedule, single mom to a couple of boys and pet mom to one sweet cat. I love snuggling any animal. So I live in an apartment but very frequently go out to trails and parks with my kids, I would have no problem including your pet!
About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and fish since I was 10. I’m reliable, patient, attentive, and genuinely love animals. I treat every pet like my own and make sure they feel safe and loved. I’m a student-athlete, so I’m used to managing my time and staying responsible. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I always make time for the animals I’m caring for. Since pet sitting is my main job outside of school and athletics, your pets will always be a priority. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and their owner’s instructions. I make sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get plenty of playtime, walks, attention, and cuddles. I also keep their space clean and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away.

Hera watched my two dogs, cat and my house for 2 1/2 weeks while I was in Europe. She did a terrific job Hera is a great communicator and gave me all the confidence I needed to relax while I was away.I had a surprise medical issue come up with one of my dogs and she had no problem giving him medication as needed. I would highly recommend her and hope to hire her again in the future.

Karina has been amazing with both my puppy and my cat. She’s incredibly communicative, reliable, and thoughtful. You can tell she genuinely cares and she’s always thinking of even the little things. I always feel at ease knowing my pets are in such good hands. I can’t recommend her enough!

Sara is amazing! Book with Sara today, you and your cats will not regret it!

Emma was amazing! Our dog Ivy usually doesn't do well with most people. We were hoping that someone would be able to stay with her and keep her from getting too stressed. Emma went above and beyond! In the couple hours we were gone, Ivy went from anxiously barking at Emma to calmly doing tricks and getting belly rubs. Emma is very calm, patient, and chill, and we highly recommend her! If and when we need another sitter, we will absolutely be choosing Emma!
Isabel is amazing. She took care of our high maintenance doggy duo for nearly three weeks. She managed our pushy Frencie like a champ and wasn’t deterred by his amped greetings. She sent us daily photos and updates and took care of not only the feeding, watering and potty breaks, but all the extras (eye medicines, nose butter, messes, etc). She is an absolute gem and I hope we can make her a regular sitter. I am just so grateful for everything she managed during our absence, and for being willing to take on such a long stay. I look forward to having her back, and I HIGHLY recommend her services!

Mary is an amazing sitter. She was house-sitting and took such good care of our senior dog. She is caring, knowledgeable, and followed all instructions for our dog's needs. Mary kept us updated and sent us pictures throughout the stay, multiple times a day. We really appreciated her help. I would definitely rebook Mary next time.
We got back from a lengthy trip home to Australia and the house was immaculate. Both Boston's looked well cared for of a good weight. All in all, we had a stress-free time away from our fur babies and Kevin was great at keeping us up to date on their daily events and was easy to work with and super friendly. Thanks - it really was great to have your help!!!

Elizabeth was amazing! She took wonderful care of our three dogs and our home, and the pups were honestly sad to see her leave. From the start she was thoughtful and professional—asking all the right questions to make sure everyone would be safe and happy. She kept in touch with quick responses, lots of photos, and daily updates (often more than one!), which really put us at ease since it was our first time having someone care for all three dogs together. We’d absolutely book with Elizabeth again—it’s such a relief to have found someone here in the Palouse we can trust completely. The dogs already miss her!

Jessica did an amazing job with our critters. 4 kitties and a needy COVID puppy are a lot, especially when said puppy has found a way to roam the neighborhood by exiting our fenced-in yard. She was thoroughly dedicated to the well-being of the animals, kept us posted on how things were going, sent pictures and was honest and gracious about the challenges and the rewards of looking after our brood. We had no worries while we were away and that’s a big part of what an experienced sitter provides. Very grateful that we found her and that she was available to do this job!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Pullman on Rover is $31.47 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pullman walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pullman maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pullman choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pullman. On Rover:
- 80% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
