“Hera was an amazing sitter. My cat has asthma and needed a daily inhaler and she was able to give it to him with no problems. The kitties loved her and she was very kind and prompt with her responses. We will definitely try to book her again!”

“Katherine took great care of our two cats! She’s also a very talented photographer and we’ll be saving many of the daily photos she sent because they’re so artfully done. We will definitely reach out to her again next time we need a pet sitter!”

“This is the second time Arsen has taken care of my two cats for an extended period. She was reliable, shared daily comments and photos, brought in my mail and package deliveries, and cuddled with the kitties. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10. I have cared for a blind senior cat as well as a cat with hip problems, which required patience, close monitoring, and adapting the environment to keep them safe and comfortable. I currently help care for my friend’s senior dog, who also has hip and dental issues, so I’m familiar with administering gentle support, maintaining comfort, and being attentive to mobility limitations and pain cues. In addition, I have experience caring for younger animals, including kittens and puppies around 12 weeks old. This has given me practice with high-energy care, feeding routines, supervision, and basic early-life behavior management. Overall, I’m comfortable working with both senior pets and young animals, and I adjust my care style based on each pet’s specific health, energy level, and personality needs. Pet care fits into my routine pretty easily because I currently have a part-time job with a very variable schedule. Since my shifts change from week to week, I’m generally flexible and available most days with some notice. This flexibility allows me to adjust around pet care responsibilities like feeding, walks, check-ins, or overnight stays when needed. I’m also used to planning my time in a way that ensures animals are consistently cared for, even on busier days, so I can reliably fit pet care into my weekly schedule. In my home, I would make sure any pet is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. While my apartment doesn’t have a backyard, there is a fenced-in area nearby where dogs can run, play fetch, and get exercise. I also have a car, so if the owner is comfortable with it, I can take the dogs to a dog park for additional enrichment and activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions are followed closely. I’m also very mindful of respecting the home itself. I was raised to always leave a place cleaner than I found it, so I make sure everything is kept tidy, organized, and exactly as I found it. Communication is also important to me, so I always update owners and let them know right away if anything seems off or if there are any concerns about their pet’s health, behavior, or well-being.

“Sara is AMAZING! She took care of my 3 cats for 10 days and did more than expected. She was prompt with stopping by everyday after her classes to feed and check on the cats. She spent time each evening giving them snuggles and pets. Cleaned their bowls and litter box and sent me photos everyday. I felt very comfortable knowing they were well cared for while I was gone and by the photos it looked my cats were very happy too 😊 She is a vet student at WSU so I also knew that if any of cats were sick, she would take good care of them and get them any needed medical attention. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“Morgan was great taking care of my two cats while I was out of the country. I loved the notes she left in the app and the photos sent easing my mind. I have absolutely no complaints! Would rebook for my next vacation!”

About: Over the past 6 years I have worked at a range of different animal care jobs! I worked as a doggie daycare/boarding employee at Camp Bow Wow for 4 years, where I played with and cared for a wide variety of dogs from all stages of their lives! Additionally, I spent 3 years as an Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) at VCA Animal Hospital in my hometown of Houston, TX. These experiences allowed me to gain skills in animal behavior, pet patient education, and animal handling. I am currently working part-time as a server at Rico's public house. My availability is very open and I am able to accommodate to a wide variety of schedules for house sitting & dog walking! I have a wide range of past boarding & pet sitting experience and I am willing to assist in any way that I can. I usually walk my dogs daily and even my cat Charlotte enjoys going on the occasional walk! Additionally, I have experience from working within a vet hospital and I am excellent at providing medications to pets when needed.
About: I’ve had a dog of my own and regularly help care for my neighbors’ dogs as well, giving me experience with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to older senior dogs. I’m a college student with an internship, which usually leaves me fully free on Sundays and Mondays (though this can vary week to week). On workdays, I’m available early mornings and in the evenings into the night. I prioritize safety, trust, and respect in every home I visit. I follow any instructions closely, keep pets secure during walks and visits, and make sure your home is treated with care. I’m also open to dog sitting in my own home depending on the pet’s needs and compatibility.

“Kasey was so great! My cats are very shy and timid and Kasey managed to get them all to make an appearance on the 2nd day, I was shocked. She communicated and sent pictures and really put my mind at ease while I was away. Absolutely would recommend her! She will be my go to from now on.”

“Mark has watched my pets twice and he did a great job both times. The first time, I had a dog that had recently become disabled and had to be assisted outside with a special vest on to hold him up. It wasn't an easy job, but Mark stuck it out and took care of him and our other dog for a week. The second time we hired Mark, was a year later and two weeks after we had lost our disabled dog. Our 12 year old lab is an easy dog to care for, but it was the first time we had left her without her buddy, since she was a puppy. Mark showed up reliably and spent extra time with her to help her tolerate her new life as an only dog. You can tell Mark cares about their emotional needs, as well as their physical requirements.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pullman
Katherine was amazing with my cat and was very nice. She was very attentive and did everything as instructed. She also wrote out everything that she did and as I have had bad experiences with previous sitters, this eased my anxiety. Would definitely recommend!

Hera is great! When I was away for a business trip, Hera took great care of my two 3.5-month kittens! She spent a good amount of time taking care of them, feeding, watering, cleaning litter boxes and playing with kittens! Hera sent me updates everyday and ensured kittens daily routine above and beyond. Kittens loved her too! Thank you, Hera!

Morgan squeezed us in at the last minute and was so responsive! Everything looked great and kitties were their normal happy selves when we returned. It was clear Morgan went through extra effort to make sure tasks (especially litter cleaning) were done thoroughly, which is super appreciated! Thank you, Morgan!!

Shelley did an amazing job caring for our dog. She was reliable, communicated well, played and gave him lots of pets. This was the first time leaving our dog at home without us for more than a day. Shelley made us feel comfortable and we were able to enjoy our time away knowing he was in good hands. We will definitely ask for Shelley again! Thank you Shelley.

- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
