3. Ann R.
About: I've had dogs, cats, and other small pets for most of my life. I have also volunteered with rescues, and worked in the pet care field for several years. I have frequently been hired to petsit and walk dogs. I am able to perform some basic first aid on dogs and cats, but err on the side of bringing them to the vet. I have experience caring for other types of animals including guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, tarantulas, jumping spiders, mantids, bearded dragons, geckos, cockatiels, parakeets, small parrots, freshwater fish, and horses. I do not have experience with other kinds of invertebrates, saltwater fish, ferrets, hedgehogs, chinchillas, snakes, or livestock other than horses. I am happy to care for these types of animals, but I will need detailed instructions from you. I'm flexible with changing schedules, and am happy to accommodate the needs of your pets. When you hire me as a sitter I am able to be with your pets almost all day. I wouldn't be away for more than 2-3 hours, and I rarely need to do this more than once every few days. I am almost always available between late October and late May. Between late May and late October I typically work 6am to 4:30pm Wednesday through Saturday so my availability is much more limited. I am not able to watch your pets in my home. I am available to both stay at your home to care for your pets, as well as stop by frequently to check on them.

“As a veterinarian I fully recommend Burkleigh as a pet sitter, she has a solid pet handling basis and an excellent sense of responsibility around pets. Her medical knowledge as a vet student makes her the optimal candidate for looking after a pet.”
5. Andrew L.
“I’m so glad we went with Andrew as our petsitter! It was our first time leaving our two kitties for so long and I was nervous about it, but getting an update and pictures with every visit made me feel so much better. Andrew was awesome and very flexible when our schedule changed. Highly recommend!”
6. Ava A.
“When i think of someone who i would trust taking care of anybody's animal, it would be Ava. She has been loving and taking care of animals ever since she was a little girl. She has been volunteering at the local animal shelter ever since I've known her and she now happens to work there and be one of their most trusted and knowledgeable employees. Her dream in life is to be a large animal veterinarian but she is constantly fostering any animal she can get her hands on because animals are what make her happy and that is what she is great at.”

12. lily e.
“Lily has grown up with pets her whole life and loves all animals deeply. She is nurturing and caring and responsible. She has been responsible for taking care of our dogs, large and small and cats while we are on vacation and honestly spends more time and gives them more love than we do! She has fed them, walked/played with them and picked up after them. She also has experience working with large farm animals and loves being out in nature with them. She is a ag sciences major so is devoting her future to animals and agriculture. I would not hesitate to hire Lily again and again.”

15. Elizabeth O.
“We loved having Elizabeth watch Regina for the week we were gone. She always sent pictures and videos of her playing, and gave us plenty of updates as to how she was doing. Very respectful in our home, we’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter.”
16. Sasha R.
“Sasha is a very reliable pet sitter and we were in constant contact about my 3 guinea pigs throughout my two-week trip away. :) As a person who is anxious about leaving her guinea pigs alone, she was very sensitive to that and made sure that my worries were eased by providing updates and completing my day by day requests. She follows care instructions carefully and exactly. Daily guinea pig care can be a little messy, and I'm glad she was up for it! She took my last minute booking request, and we met prior to my departure to get through care instructions! Thank you so much, Sasha!”
17. Darcy G.
“Darcy was one of the best Sitters I’ve had while using this Rover. I provided her clear instructions and she was able to carefully and accurately execute all of my requests whenever asked. She also went above and beyond and informed me whenever she was unclear or unsure of something. If I ever needed anything else performed or my cat had a medical issue she informed me of the issue and completed the necessary steps to make sure my cat was safe and not stressed. I will definitely be booking her again and would recommend her services to anyone looking for a cat sitter.”
18. Kaylee C.
About: Hi I'm Kaylee, I live here in Pullman and I know the importance of keeping dogs entertained while you are away. I believe dogs should have more time playing outside than inside. I have a golden retriever. He spends most of their time in the yard chasing the ball and the frisbee or simply lying in the grass just being a dog and having fun. If I were to take care of your pet, they would have plenty of exercise and playtime. I do not mind watching younger pets or those with disabilities. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask! Pet care fits into my daily schedule because I am a part-time student. This allows me to have time to set aside to care for others. With safety, trust, and environment I understand the importance of handling an animal properly, whether that be with a harness, leash, or crate it should be used!
19. Ivy W.
About: I've lived with and cared for cats my whole life, including those with medication needs, special diets, subcutaneous fluids, and behavioral issues. Outside of my household, I've cared for other folks' dogs of various ages (including puppy and geriatric), sizes, & breeds on and off for the last 6 years, often with 7+ day stays and lots of walks! I've also taken care of the odd chicken, lizard, and fish. I take great joy and satisfaction in helping animals feel comfortable without their people around, and I try to mimic your regular routine as close as possible. I know leaving your pets behind can be stressful and worrisome, so if there's anything I can do to put you more at ease, I want to accommodate that! I currently work 4-day work weeks (10 hour days) in Moscow, so I typically have the most flexibility Fridays-Sundays. If your pets only need morning and evening care during the work week, I'm ready to jump in, and am happy to stay overnight! Your pet's comfort, health, and routine are the most important factors to me! I like to provide plenty of playtime and enrichment whenever possible, cats and dogs alike (but I'll never force anything, especially with cats who need their space to get comfortable). I'm happy to help reinforce training commands, crate your pups as needed, and provide special care to any animals who need it. I have some experience helping with puppy potty training and crate training. My cats take daily medications, and I'm happy to give your animals meds, as well. I won't be fazed by animals that don't always want to take them easily, I just ask that you give me very specific instructions about what has and hasn't worked in the past & prepare me for potential reactions. I understand bites and scratches may happen at these times, but I do prefer to see updated rabies vaccination proof for any animals that become a bite risk during medication time. I have experience with various techniques, including pill launchers, pill pockets, syringing oral meds, hiding meds in food, transferring liquid meds to empty capsules, topical meds, and wrapping "kitty burritos". I am a little rusty on subcutaneous fluid administration & shots, but I have successfully done these things for pets in the past (and have extensive experience giving myself shots). If your dog is being stubborn and refuses a walk/cuts it short while house sitting, I will do my best to allow them extra walk and exercise opportunities, as my time allows. I am happy to take your cat on leash walks while house sitting as long as it is part of their regular routine and they do not have a history of getting agitated/biting when seeing other people/pets when on a walk.
20. Juliann V.
“Juliann is a lifelong animal lover and, along with having her own cats and dogs, has been pet sitting for several years. She is reliable, conscientious and unfailing kind to animals. She is also very observant of pet health and behavior. I highly recommend you consider her for your pet sitting needs.”
