“Chayce was great; we were able to meet and communicate enough before the trip and I liked knowing that she was available to come by multiple times a day and exercise or spend time with my high energy, quirky dog.”

“Victoria was fantastic with my pup! I was very impressed by her professionalism, and could tell my dog had a great time with her. She was timely and very attentive to my dog’s schedule and needs. Definitely recommend!”

“Amanda is the absolute best! I couldn’t recommend her more. My two big dogs loved her. I have one who takes meds and she took them with no problem with her. This same dog has a lot of anxiety and normally won’t eat any of her food if I’m not home and she still ate with her there. She also kept me updated throughout. If you need someone to care for your pets Amanda is incredible. Highly recommend!”
“Kaelyn is a thoughtful, conscientious house/pet sitter. She met all of our needs, and adjusted well when ouir plans shifted. Good communicator. I would not hesitate to call upon her again.”

“Jessica did an amazing job caring for my dog and cat over the course of a few days. She was very communicative about how they were doing and updated me when minor mishaps had occurred. Despite my cat being a bit shy. yet needing to be given medicine orally, Jessica did a great job at establishing trust with her. Jessica was also very willing to take care of my plants and fish which was greatly appreciated. The house was clean when I came back and the animals had clearly enjoyed their time with her. I couldn’t ask for anything more, and I would definitely rebook with Jessica again!”
“This was the first time that we ever left our pets with someone and Emily was so wonderful! We will be reaching out to her next time we go out of town. She sent us daily updates on all of the pets and when we got home the house looks like no one had stayed there all weekend. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Jessica stayed with our pets and took great care of both them and our house while we were on vacation. She is quick with communication responses and easy to work with and get updates from. Our pets seemed happy and relaxed when we got back. Thanks so much - would happily book Jessica again and definitely recommend her!”

“Brandi took great care of my two dogs. She communicated with me throughout her stay and sent pictures each day. She stayed at my house and everything was clean and tidy when I returned. Would book her again.”
“We couldn't be happier with our experience! Hannah stayed at our house with our dog Conor, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely loves animals. Conor absolutely adored her — which honestly says everything. She was super responsive leading up to the stay, prompt with updates throughout, and even took Conor on sniff walks (anyone with a scent-driven dog knows what a labor of love those are!). We came back to a happy pup and zero stress, which is all you can ask for! We'll definitely be booking Hannah again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who truly cares. 🐾”

“Elizabeth was so wonderful! Will be making her our regular sitter for sure. She even took care of our cats, fish, and chickens, which allowed me to travel with total peace of mind. Her attention to specific instructions was impeccable. The cats and dog seemed so content when we arrived home.”

“Ann did an amazing job taking care of our two needy/behaviorally challenged cats for 10 days! They kept in contact with us, proactively communicated/asked questions, and left the house just as clean as when we left! When one of the medications began running out, I trusted them to help navigate the pharmacy and dose changes with us from afar. Ann is an extremely responsible and diligent pet sitter who we would 100% book again!”

“Sienna has been absolutely wonderful, very willing to be flexible to accommodate my schedule, and does great with my "stranger-danger"-prone dog! She responds really fast to texts, sends updates, and even took it upon herself to rotate fans and windows to help cool my place down while I was gone.”

About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds in my home. While I currently only have a cat, I’ve been the owner of several dogs, a couple snakes, a bearded dragon and I’m not afraid of really any type of animal. I have a pretty open schedule, single mom to a couple of boys and pet mom to one sweet cat. I love snuggling any animal. So I live in an apartment but very frequently go out to trails and parks with my kids, I would have no problem including your pet!
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m the proud owner of a 3-year-old high-energy Aussiedoodle named Arlo, so I’m very comfortable meeting the needs of active, intelligent dogs who thrive on routine, exercise, and attention. We spend our weekends hiking and exploring the outdoors, which has given me a strong appreciation for physical and mental enrichment for pets. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and set of needs, and I strive to provide patient, attentive, and reliable care so both pets and owners feel at ease. Whether it’s keeping up with daily walks, playtime, feeding routines, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. On weekdays, I work from 8–5 but live close enough to come home during my lunch break for potty breaks, walks, feeding check-ins, and some one-on-one time. Pets are never left alone all day and get consistent care throughout the day. Mornings and evenings include walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime at home. On weekends, my schedule is very flexible, which allows for longer walks, outdoor adventures, and extra attention. I’m especially comfortable caring for high-energy dogs and making sure they get the exercise and enrichment they need. I care for pets in my home just like I do my own dog — with lots of attention, routine, and love. I follow each pet’s normal schedule for meals, walks, and any special instructions, and make sure they get plenty of playtime, exercise, and downtime. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, including high-energy dogs. I work 8–5 on weekdays but come home at lunch for walks and check-ins, so pets aren’t left alone all day. On weekends, we enjoy longer walks, outdoor time, and a relaxed pace. My goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and at home while keeping owners updated and worry-free.
“Audrey did a wonderful job pet-sitting our 13 year old dog and tending our houseplants while we were away on vacation for a week. She was very responsive to our requests for updates and photos via text and also didn't hesitate to ask questions about anything she was unsure about. The house was in perfect shape when we got back. Would highly recommend her.”

About: I have been around animals since I was born, and wanted to be a veterinarian ever since I was three! I now attend WSU and am in my first year of veterinary school! I have worked with several different types of animals, ranging from mice and rats to horses. I currently have 3 of my own cats and 4 rats! I have a dog back at home in Tacoma too. If you need simple drop ins, pet sitting, or dog walks, I am here for you! I usually have classes from 1-5 PM, then work for a couple hours after that. I can usually stop by on weekends, late nights, or mornings/ early afternoons to take care of your pet! I will regularly check on the well-being of the animal. Not only will your pet be fed and taken out regularly, but any mess that we might make will be cleaned up better than we found it!

About: I am an animal-lover and biologist trained in animal care, so I can administer medicine and know what your pet needs. I have also worked with a very anxious dog for years, so I know how to deal with severe anxiety. I am in a gap year, so I have plenty of time to give your pet all of my attention. I have a very flexible schedule, so I can work with you depending on what you need. I like to do a Meet & Greet before I work with a new animal so I can meet them when/where they are comfortable. If I am house-sitting, I can be in your home for a large portion of the day that I am not actively caring for your pet, monitoring them and keeping them company while I work on other things.
The median cost per night for house sitting in Moscow is $38
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Moscow
Chayce was a fabulous petsitter! We have a very nervous, neurotic dog who needs some extra time to warm up and get comfortable with new people. Chayce went above and beyond to make him comfortable, and my husband and I were at ease knowing he was in such great hands while we were out of town. We have 5 other pets, and Chayce did a great job with everyone. I highly recommend them to anyone!

We couldn't be happier with our experience! 🐾

Lily was so great watching our two high-energy Australian shepherds in our home. She made time to give them plenty of exercise and love. She sent updates throughout the stay and made us feel comfortable leaving them with her! We're looking forward to having her watch them again in the future.

Beth was amazing with our two big dogs! She gave them exercise and doted on them while I was away, so that I came home to happy and relaxed pups. Both dogs took to her immediately, especially the hound, who can sometimes be a tough sell. Beth was also extremely organized, took notes at our first meeting, and sent me photos while I was away. I will definitely be using her again!

Brandi is wonderful! She gave my dog lots of love and attention and made sure he wasn’t lonely while we were gone, and took great care of our home as well. She provided lots of pictures and updates so we knew he was being well cared for. We had never used rover before so I was nervous about trusting someone we’d never met, but she immediately put my mind at ease when I met her. Will 100% seek her services again, and cannot recommend her highly enough.

FAQs for House Sitting - Moscow
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Moscow on Rover is $33.3 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 155 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Moscow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moscow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moscow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moscow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moscow. On Rover:
- 82% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
