“She is truly incredible. Watching her take care of my one dog and two cats was such a relief—she’s attentive, kind, and genuinely loves animals. I could tell how comfortable and happy my pets were with her, and that means everything to me. She went the extra mile and made the whole experience stress-free. An absolute gem and the best babysitter I could have asked for.”

“Holly was great with my dog! She was open to having 2 meet and greets before staying, which I think helped my anxious little dog. Holly was very calm, understanding and patient. I would definitely have Holly dogsit for us again!”

“Kyra did an amazing job with our 2 dogs and cat. She communicated very well and would reply very fast if I had an questions. She sent me a couple videos of the dogs playing. She even asked to take them for a short walk, which I thought was very responsible of her. Will have her back again.”

“Danny did an amazing job taking care of our fur babies. We have two large Irish Wolfhounds and two pampered cats. He did not shy away from the challenge. The dogs loved him and enjoyed their long walks. Danny was great with communication… asked questions I didn’t even think about before we went out of town and communicated regularly with us with any questions that came up. Highly recommend him.”

“Cailin was amazing! She kept us in the loop with everything with our fish and dog. She was responsive and helpful. We came back to a happy puppy and clean house! We will definitely use her for our futures needs.”

“Donovan was great! Super communicative and sent regular updates throughout his stay. I always get a little nervous to leave our pup with anyone and he helped alleviate all my anxiety and was always available if I reached out to check in or with questions. He took great care of our home as well. We came home to a clean and quiet home and a healthy and happy pup!”

“Kimberly was responsive and communicative. My husband and I have not left Buddha overnight with someone he didn’t know and he did great. Kimberly made is all feel comfortable and my husband and I were able to enjoy a night away knowing our baby was in great hands. Definitely will be using Kimberly again.”

“Chenaniah was willing to go above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable even though I’m a self proclaimed crazy dog mom. My dogs were very loved and cared for while I was away!”

“Kristi watched our two dogs while we went out of town for two nights. She is by far the best dog sitter we have ever used with Rover or privately. You can tell right away she loves the dogs. When we came back it was apparent they missed her after she left. What more could one say when your own dogs misses her! If you want a worry free time away from your dogs she is the sitter for you!! Also her response with texts & pictures were fantastic.”

About: I have taken care of many types of dogs for most of my life. I absolutely love animals, and would love to help you with your pup when you aren’t available to care for them. We have a large home on a half acre. It is fully and securely fenced. Your doggie can hang out with me and my 16 year old daughter will also help care for them. I have a secure fully fenced yard with ample space for your pup to roam and play safely. I can also come to your home with the help of my 16 year old daughter to care for your pets.
“Kaity did a great job as our housesitter and pet sitter. She sent frequent pictures of our animals and played with our dog. Our shy cat even came out of hiding for her! She watered all of my flowers outside, collected mail and packages, and left the house in great shape. We will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Ron is so kind and amazing to work with. I needed a sitter within 2 days and he initially replied within minutes, answered all my questions, scheduled a meet and greet, and showed up on time for everything. Nimby was quick to warm up to Ron as they were playing ball within minutes, followed up with kisses! Thanks Ron xoxo”

“We just returned from a long trip overseas and usually our pets are anxious and mad at us when we get home from a trip. But under Beverly’s care, the pets (an Old dog and ancient cat) were relaxed and so happy!! Everything was in perfect order. I think they actually miss Bev a bit ! We will definitely be using Bev again. 😊”

“Jen did a fabulous job taking care of our pets! I have dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. One of my pups is 17 years old and takes a couple of medications. Jen didn’t flinch at the work and she was very reasonable. The pets loved her and she kept us updated while we were away. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nampa
I’m so grateful I found Chenaniah. We’d never used Rover before and we’re quite nervous of going away for such a long time and having someone housesit and watch our 2 precious kitties. Chenaniah put us at ease on our first meeting. Our shyest kitty, who usually hides when someone new is around, went right up to Chenaniah and gave her a little side swipe. What a great comfort for me. Chenaniah took amazing care of our kitties and I was grateful I didn’t have to constantly be worried because she checked in daily with us with plenty of photos. Both cats warmed up to her quickly. One can tell that she truly loves cats and I’d tecommend her highly!

Hazen was awesome, the animals took right to him. We had a lot to care for plus he stayed in the home so he is a total rockstar! He communicated twice a day or more with photos and updates. The house looked just like I left it, very clean. I’ll definitely be booking him again.

Kylie is absolutely incredible. She sent daily updates and pictures and went above and beyond to take care of our home and creature family. Having older dogs it makes me nervous to be away from them but she took phenomenal care of them. I highly recommend her services to any and all!
Celeste was an absolute joy to work with, what a great blessing to know that my dogs were truly in the Best of Care!! She was most attentive to each dogs’ individual needs and concerns, and very detail-oriented to go beyond what was expected!! Celeste also cleaned up after them and my house was impressively clean!! Most importantly, my pets were happy as she communicated via videos and pictures of all the fun play she devoted to them!! I truly could enjoy my vacation seeing how happy, content and secure they were… Celeste is very dedicated to her work, she combines professionalism with lots of love, genuine caring with her beautiful personality!!!
Kelsey took amazing care of my big, intimidating German Shepherd. She was so well loved that she almost seemed bummed that I came home and was without Kelsey. My home was left exactly as I had left it, minus the full outdoor trash can I accidentally left, but Kelsey even emptied that! If you need a dog sitter, Kelsey is the one.

Margie is a fantastic dog/house sitter. Our dog takes a while to warm up to new people, Margie's patience won her over within a few days. We typically put our dog in our room when we are not home because of her history of jumping the fence when she was younger. We no longer need to do this since Margie proved that she is fine with full access to the house and yard when no one is home. We have a much happier dog and no longer need to worry about her being left alone.

Sammy was perfect for our dog while we were out of time. She kept us updated with pictures, took her for walks and fetch everyday, and the house was in great shape when we got home and the bed washed/remade. We will definitely be calling Sammy again and recommending her to our friends.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nampa walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nampa maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nampa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
