“Katherine took great care of our two cats! She’s also a very talented photographer and we’ll be saving many of the daily photos she sent because they’re so artfully done. We will definitely reach out to her again next time we need a pet sitter!”

“Super job checking in everyday on our two kitties. They are shy, but everyday Chayce dropped in to make sure everything was going as it should and the food, water and box were taken care of... they even learned that when Chayce comes, treats are left! Extremely reliable, responsive and allowed us to be worry free the duration of the trip. Absolutely will be calling on her again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats ever since I was born, taking care of young and older pets. Adjusting my care depending on the pets needs. I am a college student but have time on the weekends; Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays being in the afternoon. I’m pretty flexible but would appreciate a heads up if plans change. I’ve grown up with having a fenced area that we let our pets run around in as well as take them on walks to provide them plenty of exercise
About: I’ve loved and worked with dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up around them taught me how to understand their needs, personalities, and behaviors from an early age. I especially enjoy walking dogs and helping with basic training, whether that’s reinforcing good leash habits or teaching simple commands. Now that I’m in college, I don’t get to spend as much time with dogs as I’d like—so being on Rover is the perfect way for me to do what I love while making pets happy and cared for. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy building trust with each dog I meet. My goal is always to make sure your dog feels safe, exercised, and loved when you're not there. I'm currently a college student, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I am free almost all day aside from the mornings; on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am free in the late afternoon and evening. While I can’t have pets right now as a college student, I grew up on a farm where our dogs were exercised daily, brought inside, and crated at night. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow your dog’s usual schedule closely—making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and a calm, secure environment so they feel comfortable while you’re away.
“Had to leave my 8 month old puppy and 13.5 yr old for the day. I expected a couple of stressed out yup dogs and what I came home to were mellow happy boys. She even watered my plants! Highly recommend Peyton.”

About: I also constantly grew up with dogs in my life, small, big, old and young. I understand how to wear them out with every trick in the game I am a full time student but mainly taking online credits, most the time hanging out with animals is my joy, not a job or task. I live in an apartment and will not be hosting animals in my home. I would absolutely love too but with my situation I cannot.

“Jessica was great. She stopped by just like we asked, and even went the extra mile to play with out more sociable fur babies. She made sure to get pictures of them as well so we didn't worry too much. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Morgan was fabulous with our 3 crazy dogs-managing feeding, bathroom and bedtime schedules. It was fun and we really appreciated receiving daily pictures of our pups too! Morgan is also great about reaching out with any questions or concerns. We look forward to having her back again!”

“Our dogs were well cared for and we would highly recommend Kaelyn. Very easy to work with and extremely responsive. This was our first time using Rover and we will Definitely use Kaelyn again!”

“Sara is AMAZING! She took care of my 3 cats for 10 days and did more than expected. She was prompt with stopping by everyday after her classes to feed and check on the cats. She spent time each evening giving them snuggles and pets. Cleaned their bowls and litter box and sent me photos everyday. I felt very comfortable knowing they were well cared for while I was gone and by the photos it looked my cats were very happy too 😊 She is a vet student at WSU so I also knew that if any of cats were sick, she would take good care of them and get them any needed medical attention. I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals since I was young. Anything from guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, etc. My family has had a variety of dogs, so I have extensive experience in caring for dogs of all ages. I have taken care of senior dogs with special care required regarding seizures and numerous medications. I’ve also assisted in training for younger dogs for basic tricks and potty training. I’m currently a PhD student, so I’m on campus around half the week! Weekends are very open/flexible for me, and I’m also available in the mornings/mid-day/nights. I would generally keep pets separate from my own, aside from other cats. They’d have their own space to decompress, but they would still receive lots of love!
“Hera did an amazing job checking on our cats while we were away, she was super communicative and we felt confident that they were in good hands with her. She gave them lots of attention and even got our more shy one to come out of her shell. We could definitely tell by their mood when we got back that they were well taken care of!”

About: U of I student with flexible availability. I love to walk dogs, throw the ball, play tug of war. I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes and temperaments. Flexible availability. I have at least a couple hours of availability every day, if not more. Just reach out and we can figure out a schedule that works for you. I will do everything I can to ensure your dog or cat is healthy, happy and safe. I strive to maintain a high level of accountability, transparency and respect.
“Barbara was amazing! She also has a small dog so I knew I could trust her with mine. She even gave my dog some treats after their walk when I forgot to remind her! She remembered all of my special instructions and the pictures that she took were great! Whenever she is back in town, I will be using her again. Thank you!”

About: Since I was young, I've participated in 4-H. During that time, I learned how to care for many animals such as sheep, horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. Since I've raised livestock, I have experience administering medications when needed including pills, shots, and some bandage wrapping. I have pet sat for many years, during which I cared for a variety of species including, livestock (of all kinds), horses, poultry, dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles and guinea pigs. I'm a full-time college student at University of Idaho. During the school year, I can see your pets in the mornings and afternoons/evenings. Pet care is a priority for me; we can make a schedule that works for your pets and for me. During weekends, I can do more visits and walks throughout the day. Need something more during the week? Feel free to reach out and see if I can make something work between classes! To care for your pets in their home I familiarize myself with the space as quickly as possible in order to ensure a smooth transition after you leave. Once you're gone, I spend time with your pets to keep them happy and entertained. I review all provided instructions to ensure the best possible care for your animals, including any timing for food and medications. I'm happy to adjust my care style to fit individual pets as needed.
About: I’ve grown up with animals of all kinds in my home. While I currently only have a cat, I’ve been the owner of several dogs, a couple snakes, a bearded dragon and I’m not afraid of really any type of animal. I have a pretty open schedule, single mom to a couple of boys and pet mom to one sweet cat. I love snuggling any animal. So I live in an apartment but very frequently go out to trails and parks with my kids, I would have no problem including your pet!
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs ever since I was a young girl. Nieghbor’s, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and simply give their pet attention. I have had pet my entire life and have loved every single one. I have dog sat many of my neighbors and family friends dogs and cats, if it’s just letting them out to go to the bathroom or staying with them the entire week. Being there when a pet is in need is something I can always do. I just graduated so I have tons of free time to take pets on walks, pet sit, and play with. I am super flexible and super easy to contact. I have a fenced off one acre years for any pet to enjoy and play with my black lab. I have room for a kennel and also have a kennel if needed.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Moscow
We love having Anaïs watch our cats. She’s super responsive, our cats love her and she takes care to not only take care of the physical needs but also plays with them and connects so they feel totally secure while we’re gone. She is very reliable and we recommend her highly!

Maia was extremely sweet and made sure that our kitty, Cinder, was well cared for. She provided quality care and play, and sent us frequent updates with photos and the occasional video. She was communicative with us, and we could tell that Cinder who struggles with separation anxiety, did a lot better than she normally does when we're gone for a while. Thanks Maia! <3

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moscow. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
