“Mark has watched my pets twice and he did a great job both times. The first time, I had a dog that had recently become disabled and had to be assisted outside with a special vest on to hold him up. It wasn't an easy job, but Mark stuck it out and took care of him and our other dog for a week. The second time we hired Mark, was a year later and two weeks after we had lost our disabled dog. Our 12 year old lab is an easy dog to care for, but it was the first time we had left her without her buddy, since she was a puppy. Mark showed up reliably and spent extra time with her to help her tolerate her new life as an only dog. You can tell Mark cares about their emotional needs, as well as their physical requirements.”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10. I have cared for a blind senior cat as well as a cat with hip problems, which required patience, close monitoring, and adapting the environment to keep them safe and comfortable. I currently help care for my friend’s senior dog, who also has hip and dental issues, so I’m familiar with administering gentle support, maintaining comfort, and being attentive to mobility limitations and pain cues. In addition, I have experience caring for younger animals, including kittens and puppies around 12 weeks old. This has given me practice with high-energy care, feeding routines, supervision, and basic early-life behavior management. Overall, I’m comfortable working with both senior pets and young animals, and I adjust my care style based on each pet’s specific health, energy level, and personality needs. Pet care fits into my routine pretty easily because I currently have a part-time job with a very variable schedule. Since my shifts change from week to week, I’m generally flexible and available most days with some notice. This flexibility allows me to adjust around pet care responsibilities like feeding, walks, check-ins, or overnight stays when needed. I’m also used to planning my time in a way that ensures animals are consistently cared for, even on busier days, so I can reliably fit pet care into my weekly schedule. In my home, I would make sure any pet is cared for in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. While my apartment doesn’t have a backyard, there is a fenced-in area nearby where dogs can run, play fetch, and get exercise. I also have a car, so if the owner is comfortable with it, I can take the dogs to a dog park for additional enrichment and activity. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions are followed closely. I’m also very mindful of respecting the home itself. I was raised to always leave a place cleaner than I found it, so I make sure everything is kept tidy, organized, and exactly as I found it. Communication is also important to me, so I always update owners and let them know right away if anything seems off or if there are any concerns about their pet’s health, behavior, or well-being.

About: I’ve taken care of a good amount of breeds from huskies to chihuahuas. I have loved every single one that it melts my heart every time i see them. I have a dog of my own and she’s a sassy silly lazy girl. I enjoy cuddling with dogs and just having fun with them. Going on walks, playing with toys, watching a movie and going through a roller coaster of emotions, i can do a lot with dogs! i can also ensure that i will provide as much goofy photos of possible if wanted (i will be taking because its funny and brings up the vibes) I work super early so I’m available for majority of the day. I’ll leave at the crack of the morning and come back in the morning still! i’m able to take all dogs out for a potty break in between work as well and just give them attention if that’s all they need! I treat my pets like my fur babies. they are my children so i talk to them as if i have teenage kids going through their moody phase. with other people’s dogs i can present my self calmly or energized depending on what they need. i love including them in everything if they want. like if they want to help me fold laundry, cook, clean, or just watch a movie then we are all doing it as a group.

About: Taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, horses, and hamsters since I was 14. I’m reliable and show up on time. I will always put the animals needs before my own. I’m just moving up to Pullman so my schedule is wide open currently. I will be updating my schedule as life happens and updating my availability. A job will not keep me from checking in on a pet before or after work as needed. It will all depend on what type of home the owners have and if a leash will be necessary. Dog walking will of course have a harness/leash present.

“Sara is AMAZING! She took care of my 3 cats for 10 days and did more than expected. She was prompt with stopping by everyday after her classes to feed and check on the cats. She spent time each evening giving them snuggles and pets. Cleaned their bowls and litter box and sent me photos everyday. I felt very comfortable knowing they were well cared for while I was gone and by the photos it looked my cats were very happy too 😊 She is a vet student at WSU so I also knew that if any of cats were sick, she would take good care of them and get them any needed medical attention. About: Back home in New Mexico I would house-sit and pet-sit any times I wasn't working in the animal hospital. I am very comfortable with any breed, size, and age. I am especially happy to take care of pets who may need medications or who are anxious and might need a slower introduction and care. I am currently on summer break from vet school so I have all the time in the world to focus on your pets care! I am extremely flexible with my hours I'm available. One of my dogs is especially anxious around other dogs so I will not be offering care in my home. I am more than happy to stay with your pet in the comfort of their own home as long as they need! I will match wherever your pet is at comfortability wise. If they want all the snuggles, great! If they just want me to sit with/near them, great! Their happiness is my priority!
