I am a strong creature of habit, and love a good structured routine to my day. Feeding all of my animals is a heavy part of that, and the best part. I start and finish my days making sure everyone is fed, loved, and happy, and if they are then it is a good day. Being able to take a lunch break to visit more animals is an added bonus that I will look forward to all day.

I always make sure to specialize care to the animals themselves, and mimic how their own parents care for them. If an animal needs more frequent visits, longer visits, extra play time, medications, specialized meal plans or supervised meals I will always accommodate to the best of my ability. I will never leave an animal until they are satisfied with my service.
Information Katherine V. would like to know about your pet
Some important things I will need to know before watching your pets includes the basics of how much they are fed, how many times a day, how long they can be left alone, and any medications or special needs they have. Additionally, the number and address of their vet in case of emergencies and a maximum amount you are comfortable paying for them in case of an emergency. Some additional information I would like to have is their favorite toy, treat, way to play, and places to be pet or if they don’t like to be pet and like their personal space. Any information about how to make your pet happy and comfortable as if you were still there is always appreciated!
A typical day
A typical day with the animals I am caring for involves whatever they enjoy most. One of the dogs I have cared for previously loved to play outside. I would take them to the backyard every time I came by and run around with them. One dog loved chasing the reflection of light in the door, so I saved time in my schedule for that. Some just love cuddles and pets, so I save extra time for that. Ideally, after or before a meal, I would play with them, then pet and snuggle, then give some treats as a parting gift.

Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for most of my life as well as caring for my own animals at home. I have worked at, volunteered at, and fostered for dog and cat shelters as well as many other animals, and have volunteered and worked at a veterinary teaching hospital. You will not find someone more passionate or empathetic about animals of any and all shapes and sizes. When people weren’t there for me, my animals were, and I have vowed to be there just the same for them.

Reviews
Kat is one of the best pet caretakers I have ever met. I have seen her with animals from guinea pigs to puppies and she takes great care of all of them. She has a keen eye and attention to detail that makes her great at animal care in general. She is endlessly kind and gentle, while also being disciplined, meaning she can work well with almost any animal. I have watched her progress as she raises a chaotic puppy into an attentive future service dog while making sure the pup is happy and having fun the whole way. She is an aspiring veterinarian who will not shy away from any animal she is taking care of and who does her best every time, so she will be great at taking care of any pets you may have.
I can’t recommend Kat enough. She has been taking care of my two cats all summer and she has been absolutely incredible. From day one, she has gone above and beyond to make sure they are always happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She genuinely cares so much about the animals. She always takes the time to give them attention, play with them, and make them feel loved. She treats them like they’re her own and I couldn’t be more at ease leaving them with someone like that. I always know they are going to be safe and happy while I am away. Kat is super reliable, communicative, and always keeps me updated with messages and photos. If you’re looking for someone who is trustworthy, compassionate, and truly dedicated to your pets’ well-being, look no further.
Kat loves animals dearly! Since the day I’ve met her she has shown extreme dedication to her own animals and others. Once my cat escaped my room while I was out, and when she found her wandering. She stayed with my cat until she could get her back in my room. My pets are my family, and I’d trust her with my own animals lives.
