I've had dogs, cats, and other small pets for most of my life. I have also volunteered with rescues, and worked in the pet care field for several years. I have frequently been hired to petsit and walk dogs. I am able to perform some basic first aid on dogs and cats, but err on the side of bringing them to the vet. I have experience caring for other types of animals including guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, tarantulas, jumping spiders, mantids, bearded dragons, geckos, cockatiels, parakeets, small parrots, freshwater fish, and horses. I do not have experience with other kinds of invertebrates, saltwater fish, ferrets, hedgehogs, chinchillas, snakes, or livestock other than horses. I am happy to care for these types of animals, but I will need detailed instructions from you.

I am not able to watch your pets in my home. I am available to both stay at your home to care for your pets, as well as stop by frequently to check on them.

Ann always takes excellent care of our pets and our home. She is always our first choice when we are heading out of town because we know we’ll come home to happy healthy pets and a clean home, so we can enjoy our trips with no worries.
Ann did a wonderful job house sitting and caring for our cats. We returned from a 5-6 day trip to find the house was clean and the cats were happy and content. That’s all we could ask for. She was very communicative and sent pics each evening showing our cats eating and or relaxing.
Ann was great! She administered pills to our family cat twice a day, provided wonderful updates and a handful of pictures every visit. She even put our trash out. 100% recommend and will use Ann again!
Ann did an awesome job watching our farm for over a week. We have 2 dogs that she spent a lot of love and time with as well as cats, chickens and horses. She communicated daily with updates and photos which were greatly appreciated. I also liked her questions when she was unsure about something concerning the animals. Our farm has many lives to take care of with quite a few instructions and it was great she reached out when she needed to for more guidance. I will definitely check with her in the future for my farm sitting needs! Thumbs up, Ann!
This was our third time hiring Ann, and she was great! We had a less stressful vacation knowing that Ann was taking good care of our pups! She went above and beyond what I'd expect from a caretaker. She kept us informed during the week with daily text updates and photos; and she even checked our mail and set out our trash for pickup. I appreciate that she was willing and able to be flexible with timing after our return flight was delayed. Overall, a fantastic experience and we will definitely choose Ann again the next time we need a caretaker for our dogs.

Schedule
I'm flexible with changing schedules, and am happy to accommodate the needs of your pets. When you hire me as a sitter I am able to be with your pets almost all day. I wouldn't be away for more than 2-3 hours, and I rarely need to do this more than once every few days. I am almost always available between late October and late May. Between late May and late October I typically work 6am to 4:30pm Wednesday through Saturday so my availability is much more limited. This year I am available to be booked for any day or time up until June 16th.

- Please let me know of if your pet has any special needs, accommodations, or behavioral challenges such as trying to back out of their collar. I am happy to use any specific commands you have trained them with, but will need them listed in the care info or written down. I have experience taking care of animals with special needs including those with chronic illness, medication requirements, mobility issues, and behavioral challenges; however, these are never one size fits all situations so I would need to talk with you to ensure I would be a good fit for your pet(s).
