About: 🐾 I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I started dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors when I was 10. When I got my own dog at 14, I fell in love with training and taught her over 20 tricks through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with both pets and owners, and I’ve been lucky to receive referrals from people who trust me with their dogs. I love making sure dogs are not just cared for, but genuinely happy and engaged. Whether that’s walks, playtime, enrichment games, training practice, or just giving them lots of attention and affection, I always try to match each dog’s personality and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I truly look forward to every day. I’m also studying Animal Science, which has made me even more passionate about animal care and behavior. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would my own.

About: I’m an Animal Science graduate and I train service dogs with Can Do Canines, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs in different environments and understanding their behavior and needs. I’ve worked with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m very attentive to body language and routines, and I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I also grew up with dogs and have hands-on experience raising and training my own family pets—including a feisty dachshund puppy who I helped train into a gentle, well-behaved dog, along with two other dogs with strong obedience and great temperaments. My background means I naturally reinforce good habits, use positive reinforcement, and keep things consistent with what your pet already knows. I truly love spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention and cuddles. After graduating from UMN, I’ll be working part-time at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville (around 20 hours per week). My schedule varies slightly week to week, but this also gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Outside of my shifts, I have a wide availability and love filling my time caring for pets. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended stays. I currently provide care in clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always take the time to learn your pet’s schedule, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Safety is my top priority. I’m very attentive to surroundings on walks and in the home, and always monitor pets closely. With my background training service dogs, I’m confident handling a variety of behaviors and situations calmly and responsibly. I also have experience administering medications, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions when needed. I respect your home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and communicate as much as you’d like so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Amy is fantastic! She definitely knows dogs and is comfortable, capable, and trustworthy. She has been walking our Pearl for a few weeks now and it has worked out great. Pearl needs a lot of exercise and Amy takes her out on long walks with her dog, Luna, and they have lots of adventures, like seeing ducks, smelling good spring smells, and playing together. I feel so much better during the day knowing that Pearl will get a long walk and some social time!”

“Lauren is such a wonderful person! Very personable, great communication, and she took such great care of my dog Skylar. They went for an hour-long walk around my neighborhood. Skylar looked so happy and was perfectly tired from the exercise. Highly recommend Lauren and will definitely book again!”

About: I've lived with animals my entire life and have been taking care of my own since I was about 7 years old. I've had a few dogs in my family: a chihuahua, shar pei, golden retriever, pomeranian, dachshund, and a chow chow; with experience from puppies to seniors. Cats have also been a constant throughout my whole life, from kittens to seniors as well. There hasn't been a moment I haven't had at least one cat in my home. I've had a few other kinds of smaller critters too: guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and lizards. I'm well versed in pet body language and reading what they desire or need, and have lots of love to give your baby(ies)! They deserve the world. I absolutely adore all animals and spending time with them is my favorite activity. Rover is my full-time job, so I can spend as much time as needed with your fur baby and make frequent check-ins or walks if desired! If your companion(s) is friendly to strangers, I will be sure to give them plenty of attention, play time, petting, and walks (if applicable) in addition to basic care and any other requests. If they're not comfortable with new people, I will respect their space and boundaries based on what they're telling me so they feel relaxed and safe. Every animal is different and I adapt to their personality and pace.

“Madisen has been so wonderful with my dogs! I trust her completely to take great care of them. She keeps me updated and sends lots of adorable photos too. I’d recommend her to anyone!”

“Jessica did a wonderful job walking our high energy dog, Isabella! She was available for a meet and greet beforehand, has been great to communicate with, and our dog was very happy after the walk. We look forward to having Jessica walk Isa again!”

About: I have grown up with all sorts of dogs of all sizes. I have taken part in both training and caring for our family dogs, and there has not been a dog that I do not immediately love. Being with dogs is always entertaining and extremely rewarding. I am not currently working, and I have a lot of free time during my summer before my junior year of college. I am available at any time of day, and my schedule is very flexible until I start working in June. I am responsible for walking, feeding, and caring for our three dogs when my parents are working. It’s very common for me to spend time with my dogs in my down time such as playing with and accompanying them.
“Emily took great care of our dogs! She was on time for our meet and greet and made sure she got to know both Pete and Rosie. When she came to walk the dogs, she was able to get Rosie outside and down the road (which is a big accomplishment with a timid, blind dog)! We definitely would recommend Emily.”

“Molly did a wonderful job walking our pups while we were out of town! We appreciated how punctual and communicative she was, sending us lots of pictures each time she visited. We could tell she gave the dogs lots of TLC and was very attentive to each of their different needs (one dog is a young energetic pup and the other is much older and low key). We’d absolutely work with her again!”

“Athena is incredible. Otis loves her! She is friendly, warm, attentive and very good at communicating. Highly recommend working with Athena! She will love on your animals as if they were her own.”

“Ryan did a great job walking Parker, often going over the allotted time. The little blurbs about how it went and the photos were much appreciated. It’s comforting to know that Parker is in capable hands.”

“We were so happy to have Abby walk our dog. She was prompt, took her on a great 2 mile walk (thanks for the pics!), and even fed her dinner and let her outside one last time before she left. We will definitely use her again! 😉 🐾”

About: Worked with PAWS at the University Of Minnesota which helps people meet animals safely. It helped me educate more people about how pets support mental health and wellbeing. My favorite thing in the world is hosting those angels in my residence. I’m currently taking summer classes but when im not in school i’m usually pretty free. I walk everyday in the morning so i usually like to have a buddy to accompany me! I prefer to adjust to the owner’s style rather than doing my own way. I’ve learned that cats and dogs especially can get pretty uncomfortable with sudden changes to their routines and schedules. So expect a full interrogation before i take your pet!
About: I recently graduated from grad school and am currently substitute teaching so I have lot of extra time during the week. I have 2 cats of my own and have experience with puppies and small dogs! I’m quite flexible with my time and am also a homebody so your pet will get a lot of attention. I will accommodate your feeding schedule as best as I can. I recently graduated from grad school and am job-hunting so I have lot of extra time during the week. I have 2 cats of my own and have experience with puppies and small dogs!
About: I've been caring for neighborhood pets since I was 13, and now I’ve been all over the Minneapolis area! My family rescue dog and elderly cat are my babies, they make me the best temporary pet parent I can be for you. I lost one of my elderly cats rather suddenly this fall, so I can say I definitely understand the anxiety of being away from your pets especially those with health issues or behavior quirks. I do what I do because of her, and as a Minneapolis transplant away from my animals, I am more than happy to spend time with yours! I work part-time, though my hours fall in the 9-5 window. However, there is flexibility for me to work remotely for part or sometimes full days with advance notice, depending on the project. I can usually accommodate whatever exercise your pet needs! I am also a dancer, so if your dog has acute health issues or requires constant supervision, we may not be the best fit, as training does require me to be out of the house in the evening. No 4-hour rehearsals right now, but I do take class most days of the week. I'll do my best to stick to a comfortable, consistent routine for your pet and make sure they get all the proper attention and love they need while you are gone. I'm happy to accommodate any medication or feeding requirements.

About: Hi! my name Juliana. As an experienced pet caretaker, I have the knowledge and skills that make me the perfect choice for taking care of your pet! I have taken care of both family and friend’s pets ( cats and dogs) and I understand the importance of providing attentive and loving care to make sure they are comfortable and happy. As a Dachshund owner myself, I know how important it is to follow routines and keep in mind specific needs. You can trust that I will provide your furry friend/child with the same level of care and attention that I give my own. Currently my schedule is limited because I don’t work from home, except for Fridays. Therefore, I’m available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for walks and drop ins. I can easy walk your dog and provide the exercise they need around the North Loop / Downtown Minneapolis area. For cat owners, I can provide visits to make sure food and litter are taken care of. Additionally, I volunteer at Minneapolis Animal Care & Control with both cats and dogs, which has helped me to understand behaviors and how to manage difficult situations.

Additionally, I worked as a veterinary surgical assistant helping to care for both cats and dogs as they underwent a variety of procedures. So, I’m very comfortable with all kinds of personalities, needs and ages! I love spending time being active outdoors - whether it’s long walks, runs, hikes, or rollerblading! I also have a cozy couch that is perfect for snuggling up with furry friends and reading or watching a movie. I’ll treat your pet with lots care and make sure they feel loved and safe while you’re gone. I am a dental student with a flexible weekend schedule, so I am regularly available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. My schedule varies, but I often have a couple of days during the week where I study from home, so I will have lots of time to spend with your furry friend! I have a large studio apartment with lots of windows. My apartment has a big rooftop dog run where your pup will be able to play and go potty! There are also lots of walking paths nearby where I will be able to take them on walks.
Prospect Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Highly recommend Jennifer!! My XL dog Panda warmed up to her immediately, and she has been totally comfortable and confident walking him even though he can be dog reactive. She’s also been wonderful with my small dog Alfie, who is very fearful of people and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. He’s been having a hard time adjusting to the medication, and Jennifer has been incredibly patient with him while truly going above and beyond to earn his trust. She was also very flexible and understanding when Alfie wouldn’t walk because of the medication side effects, happily pivoting to playing with him in the backyard instead. It’s such a relief knowing my dogs are in such caring, capable, and attentive hands.

Aichon is wonderful - remembers our dogs and their tics, communicates in a timely way, reliable and leaves us helpful notes about the walks if there’s anything she thinks we should be tracking. Highly recommend and will definitely be checking her calendar next time we have a need.

We love Danielle! She came by and did a meet and greet with the pups and asked questions to understand their personalities all before starting their weekly dog walks and drop in visits. She’s super great with communication and has the skills and knowledge to handle dogs of all sizes. Our 70-80 lbs Labradors love her and it has given us such a peace of mind knowing that they are in such good hands. I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for a communicative, caring, pet care experience.

Ellie was fantastic from start to finish. She was extremely responsive right after we booked, and she even showed up a little early for the walk. She was super amenable to the few requests we had and made everything feel easy and stress-free. Our pup, Woody, loved her right away and came home as happy and cheery as ever. We highly recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a reliable, enthusiastic dog person who clearly cares about the pups she works with.
