“Our dog Belka was well taken care of for two weeks by Susie and Matt. Belka can be anxious about new dogs and new situations, but she seemed to settle in quickly - they have a great fenced backyard for dog introductions and lots of dog friendly cozy furniture. We received daily photos of Belka (and her fellow dog companions) on walks, lazing in the sun in the backyard, and hanging out on couches. Upon return she didn't even seem to resent us for being gone so long. Will definitely look into booking them again on our next trip out of town.”

About: 🐱 I’ve been around cats for most of my life and currently have two of my own. I found my emotional support cat in 2015, and he’s been by my side ever since- even traveling with me through college. In December 2024, I adopted another sweet girl cat, so caring for cats has become a huge part of my everyday life. I also volunteer at a shelter as a “Cat Buddy,” where I spend time socializing and caring for cats with all kinds of personalities and comfort levels. Street parking is available in the area, and rideshares to the airport are typically around $20.

About: I've had dogs my whole life, and truly believe that our pets are our family. I have two pups of my own, and have pet sit on occasion over the years for friends and family with cats and dogs. I love playing with my pups in the yard and also going for walk. I believe walks should be both good exercise and mental stimulation, and ensure I always allow time for sniffing. While I do allow my dogs on my lap and on furniture, I always respect the rules of the household. I have experience training puppies and caring for senior dogs at the end of life. I worked at a boarding facility with daycare, and I have fostered many dogs in the past. I’m an animal science major and have many hours of experience working with animals of all kinds. I will be working a summer job along with pet-sitting this summer. I will only be working max 8 hour shifts and will always have time to care for my own pets, along with yours. If you choose me to take care of them. I have an unfenced yard, but I do have a tether that I can attach a dog to. But of course, I can walk them around the yard on a leash, if that works better for the dog! A typical day with my dog looks like: Wake up and immediately feed him and replenish his water, then out for a potty break. We then spend some time relaxing while I get ready for the day. If he wants, we spend some time inside playing with toys. If I need to go to work, he resides in the common areas of the house. He will always get let out before I leave. If we spend a lot of time inside/if I have to work, I’ll get home and we usually go for a walk to get some energy out. We usually do some training and other daily activities either on the walk or after. Then in the evening he eats again, we go out for a potty break. Normally my dog doesn’t have an overabundance of energy, so we spend the rest of the night cuddling on the couch.
About: We LOVE dogs and have a city sized house full of people that love giving them attention! We have 2 school age children but are home full time in the summer with a good sized fenced backyard and our own friendly pups, Oli and Lulu. We go back to our full-time jobs as educators on August 25, so our calendar reflects our school year availability (mostly weekends and some school breaks!) I (Kara) grew up always having a dog in the family, and as soon as I could, I acquired one of my own. I've learned that dogs need people, but people need dogs just as much. We have a friendly cat that mostly keeps to herself around dogs, but she does not allow other cats in the home (so we are unable to board cats.)

About: I have had cats my whole life and have dog and cat sat for many friends. I work in animal care at one of my jobs and also work at a veterinary reception desk so I have some basic medical knowledge on companion animals. I have also taken courses in college about companion animal nutrition and care / management I will be working every weekend and will be working some week days. I will have no classes in the summer so I will be available before and after work hours for pet care. I care for my pet by spending lots of quality time with him. I prioritize his health by brushing him often and by cleaning his fur and ears regularly. Playtime is super important although my cat isn’t super playful. About: I've been caring for neighborhood pets since I was 13, and now I’ve been all over the Minneapolis area! My family rescue dog and elderly cat are my babies, they make me the best temporary pet parent I can be for you. I lost one of my elderly cats rather suddenly this fall, so I can say I definitely understand the anxiety of being away from your pets especially those with health issues or behavior quirks. I do what I do because of her, and as a Minneapolis transplant away from my animals, I am more than happy to spend time with yours! I work part-time, though my hours fall in the 9-5 window. However, there is flexibility for me to work remotely for part or sometimes full days with advance notice, depending on the project. I can usually accommodate whatever exercise your pet needs! I am also a dancer, so if your dog has acute health issues or requires constant supervision, we may not be the best fit, as training does require me to be out of the house in the evening. No 4-hour rehearsals right now, but I do take class most days of the week. I'll do my best to stick to a comfortable, consistent routine for your pet and make sure they get all the proper attention and love they need while you are gone. I'm happy to accommodate any medication or feeding requirements.
About: I have been responsible for caring for dogs for about seven years, most of which have been medium or small dogs. However, I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I am often available to meet a wide variety of needs. I am usually able to come on short notice, and I can usually accommodate last minute changes. I am also usually available for extended stays. I am willing to go on long walks and play fetch like there is no tomorrow. I promise I will treat your dog with love and compassion, just like I would treat my own dog. I can ensure that your dog will be in fantastic, loving hands if and when I am entrusted with caring for him or her.
