Yvonne was great with Pluto who can be a bit shy and anxious with new sitters; suffice it to say he didn’t want to leave both days he was with her and had so much fun snuggling and going on walks- she was so patient in accommodating my last minute request too so we will definitely be booking with her again!

Having Jiahna care for Gideon has been a real pleasure. She was very helpful and flexible as we did a meet and greet and evaluated if Gideon would be a good fit. She took time to ask really good questions about Gideon and learn all she could so it's the better care for Gideon. From the get-go, Gideon loved being at her house and sharing time with her puppy. It was a good fit. I always knew that Jiahna had Gideon's best in mind, and I always got good reports at the end of the day. So very glad that I got to meet and have Gideon stay with Jiahna. I highly recommend her as a safe and professional Rover person for your canine needs. Gideon will miss her for sure and I have really appreciated the care and great connection that she showed in caring for Gideon. 💜🐕

About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. I am married and may request my spouse be allowed to stay with me or drop by in longer term sitting situations. Whether it’s a walk or a week together I’ll try to treat your pet with the same care and attention you would. Allowing you to feel comfortable while you are away. As a pet sitter I try not to disrupt your furry family member’s typical schedule as much as possible. Pet care is very individual so I try to conform to what that pet is familiar with to minimize anxiety for them, while making sure their basic needs are met.

Louie clearly enjoys spending time with Anita! We got loads of pictures throughout the day, which brought me plenty peace of mind knowing that my boy is being taken care of. Louie was happy and content when we picked him up, he spent the rest of the night at home just chill and sleep, so we know for sure he had an active day 😅

Your dog's safety, happiness, and well-being will always be my highest priorities. I can't wait to welcome your furry family member into my home! 🐶🍂 Caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's my full-time career and passion. Pet care is my daily routine, which means your dog will receive my full attention, personalized care, and constant supervision throughout the day. Because I work exclusively with animals, I spend my days focused on their well-being, comfort, safety, and happiness. Your dog will enjoy frequent potty breaks, daily walks, playtime, mental enrichment, and lots of love and companionship. They will never feel alone and will always be cared for as if they were part of my own family. My home is shared with three friendly resident pets: an 8-month-old puppy who loves making new friends and two gentle, well-socialized cats. For everyone's comfort and safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly with cats. I intentionally accept a limited number of guest dogs so I can provide individualized attention, maintain a calm environment, and ensure every pet receives the highest level of care. Please note that I do not offer pick-up or drop-off services unless transportation is arranged through Uber, Lyft, or another ride service. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my highest priorities. I am **Pet First Aid & CPR certified** and carry **professional pet care insurance**, giving you extra peace of mind while your pet is in my care. I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly home where every dog is closely supervised and treated with the same love, patience, and respect as if they were my own. Because pet care is my full-time profession, your dog will receive personalized attention throughout the day and will never be left feeling lonely. Although I live in an apartment, my community is designed with dogs in mind. We have a large, fully fenced dog park just steps away, beautiful walking paths along the river, easy access to Forest Park and nearby hiking trails, and an on-site professional pet washing station for keeping pups clean after their adventures. For every dog's safety, I carefully introduce new guests, supervise all interactions, and maintain a structured, low-stress environment. I accept a limited number of guest dogs at a time so each one receives the attention and care they deserve. I also believe communication is essential, so you'll receive regular photo and video updates throughout your pet's stay. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with complete confidence, knowing your furry family member is safe, happy, loved, and having a wonderful vacation of their own.

About: We absolutely love hosting dogs! Because we both work from home, your pup will get constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of daily walks. We have a spacious, fully fenced yard, perfect for burning off energy and getting the zoomies out! Plus, if your pup ever feels a bit nervous in a new environment, we like to make them feel right at home with a soothing treat like fresh scrambled eggs. Safety & Family Dynamics: We have a gentle 3 year old daughter who adores dogs. We actively teach her how to respect a dog's space, read their body language, pet gently, and stop immediately if a dog moves away. Either my husband or I is always within arm's reach whenever dogs are around, ensuring a safe, calm, and happy environment for everyone. Experience & Activities: We’re comfortable with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities! Our experience ranges from hosting shy, play-motivated pups (like Border Collies) to raising our own German Shepherd/Lab/Rottweiler mix. When we don’t have a Rover guest, we foster dogs through a local organization. Whether your dog loves neighborhood walks, backyard adventures, or just lounging by our desks while we work, they’ll be treated like family here. We both work from home so are home most of the day. We love walks around our neighborhood and have a large yard to get energy out. We have pick-up/drop-off listed as well for an additional charge. Lots of snuggles, walks and treats! Please feel free to bring their bed, stuffed animal, and favorite toys to make them comfortable. We will try to walk them (1.5-2mi/day) unless otherwise requested.

About: My husband and I have always loved dogs! Both of us grew up with many furry animals, which included 2 black labs, a pit bull, multiple small cats, a boxer, and a dachshund! Through our childhood and now adulthood we have learned to care for and love our animals as part of our family. Our 6 year-old black lab is incredibly sweet, but does still act like he’s 2 haha. I work from home with my daughter, so your dog must be okay with small children/toddler. We recently moved to Marysville where we have a medium/largish sized fenced-in backyard, so the dogs can get lots of run and play time! I work from home only 2 hours a day so the rest of the day is filled with toddler and dog fun! My daughter naps in the afternoon, which is when get some work done and my dog has down time. Then once she’s up we’re up and moving around again! We have a fully fenced yard with absolutely no cracks. We make sure of that for our own dog, so that is priority for us with every dog. We also have space if your dog needs a crate.

About: I’ve spent my life around animals, growing up with big dogs and cats and now working at an animal rescue. I’m very comfortable with administering medications, high energy dogs, and senior and puppy care. Because of my background in animal welfare, I have a special patience for nervous dogs who might be wary of men, and pets/breeds who might be labelled “difficult”. I know how to give them the space they need to feel secure and build the trust needed to keep them happy while you’re away. I adore animals of all kinds and can’t wait to get to know your furry family members! 🐾🩷 I work from home most days, and am lucky to have a 4-day work week. All that means I spend a lot of time with my pets! I’m an early riser, so in the mornings me and my dog will often be on local trails, off leash parks, at Double Bluff, or wandering our sleepy Clinton neighborhood. We love to play in my fully fenced yard regularly throughout the day. Fridays and my weekends are all about enjoying the beautiful PNW with my pup and I’d love to bring your pets along for the ride! In my home, pets are welcome on the furniture and treated like members of the family. Paws are wiped off when we come back inside, and everyone has free roam of the house. When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉

About: I have a genuine passion for learning about and understanding all types of animals. My experience in pet care comes from years of personally caring for my own pets, assisting friends and family, and volunteering in various animal care settings. This hands-on experience has deepened my knowledge and strengthened my commitment to providing attentive, compassionate care. Living with a high-maintenance Frenchie means my days revolve around his care—and if you have a Frenchie, you understand! I regularly clean his paws, wipe his face and bottom, and apply coconut oil to his facial wrinkles several times a day, along with moisturizing his coat for softness. I also provide him with tailored supplements and healthy vegetable treats to keep him happy and thriving. In my home or my client’s home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment tailored to each pet’s needs. I follow their regular routines closely—including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care like medications or grooming. I also keep pet areas clean, offer lots of affection and attention, and provide updates to ensure peace of mind for the pet parent. Whether it’s cuddles on the couch or outdoor adventures, I treat every pet like part of the family.

Mary was an amazing sitter for Demi! Kept me updated and very detailed at the end of service with the Rover card. It was my first time leaving my doggy with someone and she made the experience better with easy communication. Bonus points because my dog really enjoyed the time with Mary and had lots of fun play time! Will be rebooking with her. 10/10 recommend!

Fiona super kind and was stellar all the way through and I’m so glad I came across her profile! She was quick to respond, sent updates during the visit, and was flexible with my super last minute request. And of course, she took great care of my guy, which isn’t easy to do as he’s a Great Dane teenager. Hope to be visiting again soon!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 3,135 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Priest Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Priest Point commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,135 sitters in Priest Point, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
