Yvonne was great with Pluto who can be a bit shy and anxious with new sitters; suffice it to say he didn’t want to leave both days he was with her and had so much fun snuggling and going on walks- she was so patient in accommodating my last minute request too so we will definitely be booking with her again!

About: My husband and I have always loved dogs! Both of us grew up with many furry animals, which included 2 black labs, a pit bull, multiple small cats, a boxer, and a dachshund! Through our childhood and now adulthood we have learned to care for and love our animals as part of our family. Our 6 year-old black lab is incredibly sweet, but does still act like he’s 2 haha. I work from home with my daughter, so your dog must be okay with small children/toddler. We recently moved to Marysville where we have a medium/largish sized fenced-in backyard, so the dogs can get lots of run and play time! I work from home only 2 hours a day so the rest of the day is filled with toddler and dog fun! My daughter naps in the afternoon, which is when get some work done and my dog has down time. Then once she’s up we’re up and moving around again! We have a fully fenced yard with absolutely no cracks. We make sure of that for our own dog, so that is priority for us with every dog. We also have space if your dog needs a crate.

About: We love watching doggos! We both work from Home so we can do frequent potty breaks and walks. We have a large fenced yard to get the zoomies out and can make some scrambled eggs if your pup is a little nervous in our house to make their tummies happy. We do have a 2 year old who loves dogs and my husband or I are always within arms reach when we have dogs in the house. We’ve taught her to pet gently and to stop petting if the dog is pulling away and continue to teach her to be aware of what a dog might be telling us with their body. We have watched dogs that are more shy and playful like a border collie, to having experience with my own German Shepherd/Lab/Rottweiler mix so we are comfortable with all types and sizes of pups! We love taking them on adventures and exploring the neighborhood too! We both work from home so are home most of the day. We love walks around our neighborhood and have a large yard to get energy out. We have pick-up/drop-off listed as well for an additional charge. Lots of snuggles, walks and treats! Please feel free to bring their bed, stuffed animal, and favorite toys to make them comfortable. We will try to walk them (1.5-2mi/day) unless otherwise requested.

Having Jiahna care for Gideon has been a real pleasure. She was very helpful and flexible as we did a meet and greet and evaluated if Gideon would be a good fit. She took time to ask really good questions about Gideon and learn all she could so it's the better care for Gideon. From the get-go, Gideon loved being at her house and sharing time with her puppy. It was a good fit. I always knew that Jiahna had Gideon's best in mind, and I always got good reports at the end of the day. So very glad that I got to meet and have Gideon stay with Jiahna. I highly recommend her as a safe and professional Rover person for your canine needs. Gideon will miss her for sure and I have really appreciated the care and great connection that she showed in caring for Gideon. 💜🐕

Marlene is someone I trust to take good care of my dog. She took care of my sweet Potato for three days and he came home happy and tired from all the play with other dogs. It is nice to know he is in good hands with Marlene.

Goose had a GREAT time with Elena and Klemheist. He came home a happy and sleepy puppy. Elena helped me out last minute after my previous sitter had to cancel and I could not be more thankful. I’ll definitely be using Elena next time I need doggy daycare or boarding for Goose.

About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. I am married and may request my spouse be allowed to stay with me or drop by in longer term sitting situations. Whether it’s a walk or a week together I’ll try to treat your pet with the same care and attention you would. Allowing you to feel comfortable while you are away. As a pet sitter I try not to disrupt your furry family member’s typical schedule as much as possible. Pet care is very individual so I try to conform to what that pet is familiar with to minimize anxiety for them, while making sure their basic needs are met.

Our dog was happy when we dropped her off, showing that she had good memories from her past stay. She was relaxed, tired but happy when we picked her up, so had plenty of play time outside. She has separation anxiety and some insecurities, so it was great to see how comfortable she is there. Very happy with the daycare.

About: Hi, I’m Lyah! 🐾❤️ Hi! My name is Lyandra, but you can call me Lyah. I’m originally from Brazil and now proudly call the U.S. home. Caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I share my home with two cats and one dog, who are truly part of my family. Living with them every day has taught me to understand different personalities, routines, and needs, and I care for every guest as if they were one of my own. I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs in Brazil, London, and now here in the United States. This experience has allowed me to work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels while adapting to each family’s routine and preferences. I provide 24/7 care because I work from home and am home throughout the day. Your dog will rarely be left alone and will always have supervision, companionship, and lots of love. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community in Everett with a large, fully fenced dog park, a professional pet washing station, and beautiful walking trails right along the river. We also have easy access to nearby parks, beaches, and hiking trails, so every outing is customized to your dog’s personality, age, energy level, and your preferences. During your dog’s stay, they’ll enjoy: 🐾 24/7 supervision 🐾 Frequent potty breaks 🐾 Daily walks 🐾 Supervised playtime 🐾 Enrichment activities and mental stimulation 🐾 Puzzle toys, sniffing games, and fetch (when appropriate) 🐾 Outdoor adventures to parks, beaches, or river trails (with your approval) 🐾 Plenty of cuddle time and one-on-one attention 🐾 Daily photo and video updates Your pet’s safety is my highest priority. I am Pet First Aid & CPR Certified, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring and trained hands. As a special thank-you to my clients, I love sending every dog home fresh and clean! Since my apartment community has a professional pet washing station, I offer a complimentary bath before pick-up whenever it’s appropriate for your dog’s coat, health, and temperament. It’s my little gift to every family and one more way I make each stay feel like a first-class experience. 🛁✨ If your dog is used to sleeping in bed, they’re more than welcome to cuddle up with us! My husband and I always joke that the bed belongs to the pets we just happen to sleep in it. ❤️ To me, pets are family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, peaceful, and enriching home where every dog feels comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member and welcome them into our home! 🐶💕 I stay at home, your dog will enjoy companionship, personalized attention, and dedicated care throughout the day. I provide frequent potty breaks, daily walks, playtime, and a safe, supervised environment where your pet will never feel lonely. My home is shared with three friendly resident pets an 8 month old puppy who loves meeting new friends and two gentle cats. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly with cats. Please note that I do not offer pick-up or drop-off services unless transportation is arranged through Uber or another ride service. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Although I live in an apartment, my community offers a large, fully fenced dog park, and we’re located right next to the river with beautiful walking paths. We also have easy access to Forest Park and nearby hiking trails, giving your dog plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and outdoor adventures. My apartment community also features a professional pet washing station, similar to a pet grooming salon. I keep a clean, calm, and pet-friendly home where every dog is supervised and treated with the same love, patience, and care as if they were my own. I also send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and having a wonderful time while you’re away.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Shaker Church

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 3,039 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Shaker Church. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Shaker Church commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 3,039 sitters in Shaker Church, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
