About: I'm a certified veterinary assistant. I've spent the past 6 years working in daycare boarding and rescue facilities. I have experience walking, feeding, bathing, medicating and microchipping. I am a stay at home mom, so I have plenty of time to spend with all types of animals. Doing a job like this allows me to spend more time with my family. I care for every animal differently depending on their needs/ their owners needs. I also use a slip lead while using a regular leash just in case one fails.
“Elizabeth was great! She was so kind, friendly, caring, and great with my dog! She was great at communicating and always responded promptly! She took great care of my dog!”

“Adam is always so great with my 2 dogs! They love waking with him and I know they look forward to their fun walks everyday! We couldn’t ask for a better walk buddy for our golden retrievers! Thank you, Adam! 🐶”

“I want to thank Jordan for looking after my two dogs. She was so sweet and helpful. I loved that she was constantly updating about the dogs, and sending pictures and she took the time to play with them, fed them and took them for a walk. She was very patient with the dogs. Sanji and Robin are very playful since they’re about a year old. Honestly, after an unexpected long day at work it was great to know my dogs were im good hands. Thank you for asking about taking your shoes off inside the apartment it was very thoughtful and thank you for following all the instructions for the dogs”

“Naomi is the only person we’ve used with rover and we can’t imagine anyone else could be better! Our puppy loves Naomi! She is communicative, punctual, and trustworthy. I’d give her ten stars if I could!”

“We are so thankful for Natasha’s help with Spiro! She was fabulous and gave us such confidence. Her communication is clear, consistent, and kind. We received multiple photos everyday of our boy having fun with Natasha which gave us the reassurance we needed to relax and enjoy our vacation!! Matched with her thorough experience caring for pets and her attention to detail and kindness, we couldn’t be happier. We would definitely book her again with highly highly recommend!! Thank you, Natasha!”

About: I am someone who truly believes that pets are an important part of the family. I have cared for dogs and cats with different personalities, routines and needs over the years and have a background in health care. I am confident I can take excellent care of your pets and give them the fulfillment they need while you are away! I am available daily with no set schedule. I have made the difficult decision to leave the nursing profession after 20 years to do something that brings me joy. I will respect your home and the pet’s environment as if it were my own. I am comfortable being in any type of environment and will follow whatever schedule and routine you need me to in order to care for your baby the best way possible.
“Emma has been a big help with our dog, Luna. We reached out to her last minute as I had ankle surgery and was unable to do the daily walks. Emma was available immediately. She is also very patient with our puppy, who was wary of a new person walking her, and Emma understands how dogs work..you have to go with their flow, and not force them. It's been wonderful having Emma to help walk our dog.”

Once I arrive at your home, I do not leave the premises for any reason during those 24 hours, bringing my own food and supplies. -In Our Home (Boarding & Daycare): We offer a true cage-free, stress-free environment. Our layout is split into 3 baby-gated safety zones to separate pets during meals to prevent food anxiety and resource guarding. Pets enjoy open access to our home and two fully-fenced yards. “Mishie has been absolutely amazing with Bella! She is always on time, communicates incredibly well, and keeps me updated after every visit. It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she works with. She pays close attention to Bella’s needs, even adjusting their routine when the weather is too hot to safely walk. Instead of just skipping the outing, she made sure Bella still had enrichment and attention. She has even incorporated some training into their time together, which I really appreciate, and surprised Bella with a few new toys out of her own kindness. Knowing Bella is with someone who is reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in her well-being gives me so much peace of mind. Mishie goes above and beyond, and I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family!”

About: I have had 20 years of one on one care of numerous different dogs and breeds. I have trained puppies and have done hospice care for my senior dogs. My love for dogs runs deeper than words can express. I have administrated medication in abundance of creative ways to administer. Walks and exercise is so important for the health of dogs and humans alike. It only takes about 5 minutes of time for dogs to get comfortable with me. They instantly feel the warmth, love, comfort and safety I am able to create, from years of knowing how to get to know them. I love exploring and hiking and I always love to have company that has four legs. I love to sleep with snuggle bears. If that is not something that is preferred I have had crated dogs and am comfortable not sleeping with them too. I welcome and respect your ways of caring for your pet and look forward to making your time away as comfortable and confident as possible. I am fortunate to have schedule flexibility. It is a pleasure to work with my client’s humans’ in advance in order to be prepared and meet their needs and expectations. I am able to come care for your pet where you are. I have limited space at my home. I can take care of their needs in the comfort of their known environment

About: I have taken care of just about every type of animal since I was young (dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, hedgehogs, gerbils, snakes, etc.) I've trained and raised several puppies and kittens. The majority of the animals in my life were adult animals and if they were family pets, they stayed with us until it was time to cross the rainbow bridge so I also have a fair amount of experience with senior care as well. I grew up with no less than 4 animals in the house at all times, so I'm very good with multiple-pet households, but I currently live in a household with only one dog, so I am also comfortable doting on just one at a time :) I am currently available 24/7 and this is my primary career! I am happy to care for your fuzzy friends and family any time of day or night, their set schedule becomes my own! :3 I really believe every pet is different and taking into account their personality, energy, as well as their history or needs is very important. I like to give pets loads of attention if they are the type that likes attention, or I'm happy to just sit and read a book with them if they are more the sleepy type. I don't believe in leaving dogs in yards unattended, and I am a very communicative person-- I am not afraid to ask questions or clarify things I may not be sure of.
“Laurel-Ann was great with our two larger than life pups! Even when one wasn’t feeling good, she kept me in the loop with detailed updates and pictures. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
