As a large, energetic breed, German Shepherds can be a handful, but Rachel handles her with such confidence, care, and expertise. Bella always comes home happy, tired from plenty of play and walks, and clearly well-loved. Rachel is incredibly responsive—messages are answered quickly, and she keeps us updated every step of the way. The daily photo and video updates are a game-changer, showing Bella playing in the yard, cuddling, or just relaxing like she’s at home. She follows all our instructions perfectly (including feeding and exercise routines) and is super flexible; when our flights have been delayed or even canceled, she’s happily accommodated the changes without hesitation. “We arranged for twice a day, one-hour visits. Rachael was amazing! We have 2 big purebred Maine Coon brothers and a a tiny female domestic shorthair from the shelter. She was terrific, and even had to give the female a pill every morning. When we got home the house was still tidy, the kitty boxes were clean, and all 3 of our fur babies were relaxed and happy like they had just spent time with a beloved human relative. I would highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs.”

About: In our previous home in Missouri my husband and I frequently pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors. We moved to Washington January of 2025 and have missed the furry friends we cared for there. I have experience with large and small dogs including some elderly and some very high energy. I’ve also looked after cats, individuals and larger groups including groups with various feeding needs. I work virtually and can be available most week days for daytime pet sitting in homes that have consistent internet access or drop ins a few times a day. On weekends my availability varies but I can typically plan for drop in and overnight care with at least 1 week notice. About: I have been around dogs since I can remember. Growing up, my parents always had labs. I currently have a 12 year old boxer named Clover with my wife. I have been with Clover since she was 8 weeks old. From training her as a puppy to recently entering the senior years. I have cared for friends/family member dogs of all ages and breeds. I work three days a week and because I love working with animals I chose to join rover so I can spend the other days with as many animals as I can. I would care for them as if they were my own, make sure they have food and play time, access to where they go potty and just making them feel like a friend is always there when their owner can't be there.

“Absolutely outstanding boarding experience—Rachel is our go-to for our German Shepherd! We’ve boarded Bella with Rachel multiple times now, and every stay has been perfect. As a large, energetic breed, German Shepherds can be a handful, but Rachel handles her with such confidence, care, and expertise. Bella always comes home happy, tired from plenty of play and walks, and clearly well-loved. Rachel is incredibly responsive—messages are answered quickly, and she keeps us updated every step of the way. The daily photo and video updates are a game-changer, showing Bella playing in the yard, cuddling, or just relaxing like she’s at home. She follows all our instructions perfectly (including feeding and exercise routines) and is super flexible; when our flights have been delayed or even canceled, she’s happily accommodated the changes without hesitation. We feel so lucky to have found someone we trust completely. We’ve already booked our next few trips with Rachel because we honestly can’t imagine anyone else taking care of Bella.
