About: I can’t adopt anymore dogs so I am doing this as a way to have more dogs without having more dogs ☺️. I have worked with shelter dogs for the past six years and I have had quite a bit of training on dog behavior, handling, and socializing. My past shelter job required me to become SAFER certified in order to do behavior assessments on dogs coming in. I have worked with hundreds of dogs with a wide variety of behavior issues. As the dog care lead for my last shelter I oversaw the care of up to 120 dogs at a time. Part of the dogs care included medicating, I am familiar with many common health issues and medications and am comfortable administering all forms of medications. I have three small dogs of my own, two neutered males that like other dogs and one spayed female that loves other dogs. Right now I am only looking for like sized dogs male or female (20 pounds and under) or very calm bigger dogs to babysit. I live on five acres with trails that go through a small forest area (about three acres) on a quiet dead end street. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in bed but you can provide their bedding if you think they’d prefer it. I do work four days a week at the local animal shelter so the dogs will be loose in the house from 7:45-3:30ish if their stay falls on my work days. I only sit one dog at a time, unless the dogs come from the same household or they are known friends and okayed by both families.

Since I'm home all day I am able to give potty breaks as frequently as needed, go on walks when desired, and provide socialization as well (we have two dogs and two kiddos in our home). As I mentioned, I stay home with our kiddos and our dogs, so I am available to care for your pet on a schedule that meets their needs. I have a small fenced-in yard that your pup can play in! All dogs in our care will always have access to water and I can feed them according to your specifications. We also have an extra large dog crate available for your pup if they're more comfortable during sleep and/or when we leave the house.
