About: I've cared for a variety of animals since I was a child. Between personal pets and friends/neighbors I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, horses, reptiles, birds and fish. I'm very familiar with basic training, crate training and even comfortable giving medications. I've house sat/pet sat for many people and actually retain several sets of house keys, given to me by the owners, to a few people's houses for potential pet emergencies. I have also volunteered at a groomer, the pottery league shelter and have worked for a mom and pop pet store for over 15 years. After March 1st I will be leaving my regular job that I had for over 15 years at a pet store. My schedule will be wide open and I'm hoping with my pet sitting experience I can make that my full time job and have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. I'm not currently offering boarding at my home but will do everything in my power to make sure your fur baby isn't stressed while you are gone and their daily routine stays as normal as possible. My pets are allowed to sleep in the room with me but my dogs are also crate trained. My pups also love other dogs and would be thrilled to have play dates if that is something the owner is interested in.
“Isabel is so sweet! She helped me last minute and also accommodated a virtual meet and greet for me. I had a repair man in my apartment while I was away and she voluntarily stayed to keep an eye on things and give my cat more loving. Thank you Isabel!!”

“**Review for Madison:** I recently had the pleasure of using Madison's services, and I couldn't be more satisfied. From the very beginning, Madison demonstrated professionalism and genuine care for my pet. Here are a few highlights from my experience: 1. **Communication**: Madison was prompt and clear in all communications. She provided regular updates with photos and which gave me peace of mind while I was away. 2. **Care and Attention**: Madison took the time to understand my pets' routines and preferences. She handled my cat with care and patience, making sure they were happy and comfortable.”

“Kendra was super communicative and thoughtful before, during, and after her stay with my cat Azi. She went above and beyond to keep my plants watered, sent a ton of photos and videos, and left the house clean and tidy. Most of all, Azi clearly loved her. Would highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs since birth, I have my own 3yo dog & I have cared for many dogs as a professional pet are specialist and walker at my recent job in NYC. I am privately insured through the company Pet Care Insurance. Besides constantly caring for my own pet, I never get tired of spending time with animals. I look forward to even more pets and love in the future! Your pet is your baby. I know mine is my baby. I take pet care as seriously as babysitting. I have full respect for your space as I hope anyone caring for my pet has in my home. Like the boy scouts say, leave no trace!
“Iris is amazing! 🤩 Five stars all the way! I had to go out of town right when a historical snow storm hit, making it very difficult for Iris to check in on my kitty. She went above and beyond to ensure Luna was looked after and safe during the arctic blast. Iris was super communicative and helped to put my mind at ease during a stressful time. Thank you Iris!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets my entire life and began pet sitting for family, neighbors, and family friends as a teenager. During my first year of college, I started housesitting too, and I’ve since cared for many lovely kitties, bunnies, and dogs, as well as some guinea pigs and chickens. I’m especially good with cats, dogs, bunnies, and chickens, as I’ve had them all myself, but I feel comfortable taking care of most animals as long as I’m given instructions for those I’m not familiar with (for example, horses or reptiles). I’ve driven hours to get injured baby bunnies to wildlife rehab, and I’ve taken in stray cats to get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and eventually adopted. Growing up, I never had fewer than three pets, and right now I have five. They keep my dad company… he claims he isn’t a cat person but still spends every night cuddling with our oldest cat, Magic. Caring for animals brings me a lot of joy. I’ve had people house sit and pet sit for me before, so I know it’s not always easy to relax when you’re wondering how things are going back home. I want every owner I sit for to feel completely at ease and to come home to happy pets and a well-cared-for home. I work remotely and have plenty of time to give pets attention and care. Since I work remotely, I’m lucky to have the flexibility to give pets love and attention while their families are away. Right now, my kitties and bunnies are staying with my dad to keep him company, so I’ve been missing having furry friends around. My name is Kacey, and I’m from Portsmouth, Rhode Island. I work remotely as a freelance editor and pet sitter. I have bachelor’s degrees in Writing and Psychology and plan to start graduate school next year to pursue my master’s in social work. I love traveling and experiencing new places, especially small towns and rural areas, but I haven’t spent much time in the city yet, and I’d really like to. I also really enjoy exploring new places and meeting new animals along the way. I always follow the instructions owners leave so pets stay on their usual routines and feel comfortable while their families are away. Whether I’m staying in a client’s home or stopping by for visits, I make sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I also enjoy cleaning homes (with permission). When owners return, I make sure their homes look as if no one has even stayed there, except that it might be even cleaner. Your home and pets will be safe and well cared for, guaranteed !
“Britney did an amazing job! Thank you so much for being flexible, taking care of our kitties while we were away for the holidays & having to extend care days since we got stuck out there recovering from a high fever. She's the best! 😅”

About: Since I was 12 years old, I have been sitting for friends' and friends-of-friends' animals, in addition to having several pets of my own. I also have experience babysitting and housesitting, which have informed my work ethic and quality of care. I have experience raising kittens and puppies, as well as caring for adults and senior dogs and cats. I have two dogs, three cats, and a rabbit back at home— but I currently take full care for my 18-year-old cat Greenbean, which requires administering medication, adhering to a strict feeding routine, and monitoring her health closely. I take the care of my animals very seriously, and I am prepared to do the same for your pets! I am a full-time undergraduate student with a light class schedule. I am extremely flexible, and the majority of my classes are in the afternoon and early evening, allowing me to drop-in and care for your pets throughout the day. I have experience house sitting and can stay with your pets if needed. I do not offer care in my own home, but I am excited to learn your pet’s routine and follow the direct care that they require. I have reliable transportation and lots of flexibility, so I will have the freedom to work with your schedule and provide the best care possible.

About: I have been caring for dogs and other animals for most of my life. I started when I was 13 and have never stopped. I have a rescue of my own and view her as part of my family; I know exactly what it means to care for pets on a daily basis. I believe that trust between the owner, pet, and carer is so important, and will do my best to make you feel confident your furry family member is taken care of correctly and with lots of love. I also have training and confidence-building experience with all ages and personalities. I only use positive-based training methods. I am comfortable with reactive dogs! I am comfortable with fearful or nervous dogs. I can give medication or potty-train, no problem. I currently stay at home and would be solely dedicated to caring for your pups! I have no obligations that would interfere with any schedules or timely needs that you or your pet may have. I am very flexible! I have a very friendly dog at home, however, she does go to work with my partner some days. My dog is high-energy and goes for long walks with lots of sniffing! She also gets 1-2 hours of exercise in a large fenced-in yard of a family member every day. If your dog is high energy we can meet those needs! (Don't worry low-energy dogs, I see you too & you can snooze as much as you want to)
“Sandrine was a wonderful sitter—Cat was happy and well cared for when we got home, with a clean litter box and a tidy house. She sent daily photos and updates, which gave us total peace of mind. Truly delightful, and we would absolutely book her again.”

About: Knowing your pets are a part of your family, its my intentions to provide an opportunity for your pet to at its best. That means learning your pets personality and needs. My Career also entails skills with animals care specifically for sick animals, not that I am veterinary doctor, meaning I help deal with acute health issues. Being a good listener and observer due to my Scientific Career it's only a matter of time before you realize that you pet just might be excited to visit, and even more happier to return to you. Thanks for asking. My work has very set routine. Therefore when I start a project I know the days that I am available throughout its completion due to having to let processes develop on their own. So I am able to designate time for pet sitting in a routine manner and flexible manner. If I know my clients needs, I can adjust my work accordingly. Thanks for asking. My apartment is definitely animal friendly, with only on carpeted room. I will always notify the owner or any health issue, and with coordinate with the owner emergency protocols. Outside, there is a waterfront your pet can visit for walks, large yards that the pet can explore, and even an enclosed area where your pet can be unleashed so they can get a chance to roam free if ever necessary. As far as individual animal routines for food and walks are concerned, I would only take on a job if I was able to provide the animal with its precise schedule. I find animals are more confident when they know what to expect. Thanks for asking.
“This was my first experience using Rover and a sitter for my pet. Stevie-Rae did a great job. Good communication and she sent me the photos every day which I love to receive when I’m away.”

“Jen took care of my pet rabbit for a week and a half and I could not have asked for a better caretaker! From feeding to exercise, Jen was on top of it! I especially appreciated how great her communication was--she always promptly responded and sent photos every day. At one point Annie ran out of food and Jen had no problem going out for more and she even cleaned up her cage! Jen is easily the best sitter I've had on Rover and is my #1 choice in the area!”
About: I was born with a lab and a golden retriever, and have since lived with another golden, and two German shepherds, as well as two cats. I have helped train the shepherds from puppies and know how to handle large dogs in situations and walks. I now administer elder care and medication for my cat. I am not starting school until the end of August - from August 1-25th I am free for day of visits and multiple visits a day. I will change my schedule once the semester begins. I can easily crate dogs/cats, and take them for drives in my car to go on walks, to parks, or to get treats, or for any emergency necessary vet visits. I’m happy to bathe the animal if it gets dirty, or put on any necessary pet clothing (shoes, sweaters, etc). I am willing to wipe down paws and other parts before returning inside if the owner prefers.
“Amy gets an A+! There are so many kind caretakers working with Rover, that it was a little hard to know where to start! I have a cat - and I saw Amy's pictures with kitties. I could see that she just radiates love and caring to the cat in the photo... and I was not disappointed when she met my cat - same big caring!”
