“Absolutely fantastic experience. We needed a last minute sitter and they were responsive and accommodating. “Our dog, Noddle, is a cherished member of our family; Patricia treated him the same way. From the initial meeting, Patricia's genuine love of and experience with a variety of animals was obvious. Noodle took to her right away. From the photos including walks on the beach and playtime in addition to the messages she regularly sent us, we could tell that he was happy and pampered. We feel completely comfortable and enthusiastic recommending Patricia and will engage her again. She is great. Lucky Noodle. Lucky us.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Armitage. They take such amazing care of Kharma every single time. Even when Kharma had to stay really late, they were incredibly accommodating and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. It truly gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. At this point, Armitage is the first sitter I call every time without hesitation. I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with Kharma. The level of care, consistency, and genuine love they show means everything to me.”

About: I grew up with dogs since birth, I have my own 6yo dog & I have cared for many dogs as a professional pet are specialist and walker at my recent job in NYC. I am privately insured through the company Pet Care Insurance. Besides constantly caring for my own pet, I never get tired of spending time with animals. I look forward to even more pets and love in the future! Your pet is your baby. I know mine is my baby. I take pet care as seriously as babysitting. I have full respect for your space as I hope anyone caring for my pet has in my home. Like the boy scouts say, leave no trace!
“Kathy was so amazing to my kitty!! She is super attentive to the little things and really cared about my boy. I would 100% recommend her and hope to use her services again in the future.”

About: I have been caring for dogs and other animals for most of my life. I started when I was 13 and have never stopped. I have a rescue of my own and view her as part of my family; I know exactly what it means to care for pets on a daily basis. I believe that trust between the owner, pet, and carer is so important, and will do my best to make you feel confident your furry family member is taken care of correctly and with lots of love. I also have training and confidence-building experience with all ages and personalities. I only use positive-based training methods. I am comfortable with reactive dogs! I am comfortable with fearful or nervous dogs. I can give medication or potty-train, no problem. I currently stay at home and would be solely dedicated to caring for your pups! I have no obligations that would interfere with any schedules or timely needs that you or your pet may have. I am very flexible! I have a very friendly dog at home, however, she does go to work with my partner some days. My dog is high-energy and goes for long walks with lots of sniffing! She also gets 1-2 hours of exercise in a large fenced-in yard of a family member every day. If your dog is high energy we can meet those needs! (Don't worry low-energy dogs, I see you too & you can snooze as much as you want to)
“Isabel took great care of Oliver. I am so thankful she drove all the way to help pick him up when I was sick and not able to care for him. I didn't have to worry about him when he was in her hands, and he seemed to get along well with her family and have a great time. Very communicative and excellent petsitter.”

“Iris was FANTASTIC!!! She was easy to communicate with and loves your animals like her own. She is attentive to little things like an open window in the rain so your place is equally taken care. Could not be happier with our experience - we got so many great photos of our kitty enjoying playtime and treats while we were gone!”

“Britney did an amazing job! Thank you so much for being flexible, taking care of our kitties while we were away for the holidays & having to extend care days since we got stuck out there recovering from a high fever. She's the best! 😅”

“We were able to book Evan on short notice to spend time with our two cats when we had a sudden out-of-state schedule issue. Evan kept in contact with us and was respectful of our home. Our cats were happy and healthy when we got home, I can tell they were well taken care of and liked having Evan around. Thank you!”

About: I have experience caring for and walking multiple large dogs at once. I have also cared for elderly dogs and dogs with medical needs. I like to learn every dogs needs and behaviors so they feel safe when in my care. I’m a professional volleyball player home for the summer so my hours are very open! I am very active and can take your dogs for nice long walks. I respect the owners space and their recommendations for pet care. I make sure to understand the space so the animals feel safe when I enter their home and so I know where all their necessities are.
“Emma was super friendly and communicative. We unfortunately had to cancel our rover visit last minute though she made the effort to come over ahead of time to meet our cat and take notes on what she needed. We definitely look forward to utilizing her services in the future!”
About: Knowing your pets are a part of your family, its my intentions to provide an opportunity for your pet to at its best. That means learning your pets personality and needs. My Career also entails skills with animals care specifically for sick animals, not that I am veterinary doctor, meaning I help deal with acute health issues. Being a good listener and observer due to my Scientific Career it's only a matter of time before you realize that you pet just might be excited to visit, and even more happier to return to you. Thanks for asking. My work has very set routine. Therefore when I start a project I know the days that I am available throughout its completion due to having to let processes develop on their own. So I am able to designate time for pet sitting in a routine manner and flexible manner. If I know my clients needs, I can adjust my work accordingly. Thanks for asking. My apartment is definitely animal friendly, with only on carpeted room. I will always notify the owner or any health issue, and with coordinate with the owner emergency protocols. Outside, there is a waterfront your pet can visit for walks, large yards that the pet can explore, and even an enclosed area where your pet can be unleashed so they can get a chance to roam free if ever necessary. As far as individual animal routines for food and walks are concerned, I would only take on a job if I was able to provide the animal with its precise schedule. I find animals are more confident when they know what to expect. Thanks for asking.

“Amy gets an A+! There are so many kind caretakers working with Rover, that it was a little hard to know where to start! I have a cat - and I saw Amy's pictures with kitties. I could see that she just radiates love and caring to the cat in the photo... and I was not disappointed when she met my cat - same big caring!”

“Sandrine was a wonderful sitter—Cat was happy and well cared for when we got home, with a clean litter box and a tidy house. She sent daily photos and updates, which gave us total peace of mind. Truly delightful, and we would absolutely book her again.”

“I was lucky enough to find Ava on this site to care for my 2 kitty's for 10 days while I traveled. Ava is a great communicator, always sending reassuring photos after her visits. About: I'm a lifelong pet caregiver with over 10 years of daily, hands-on experience caring for dogs. From childhood, my home included dogs and cats. Caring for them has been part of my everyday life. Not just feeding and exercise, but understanding personalities, the importance of routines and individual needs. I'm the pet parent of 3 French Bulldogs whom I've raised from puppyhood. They are now 10 months, 10 years and my eldest just passed the 🌈 bridge. Raising them has given me extensive experience across all life stages. From energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring daily medications, extra patience and care. Because of this, I have advanced experience in the unique needs and care of brachycephalic breeds, including breathing and temperature sensitivities, appropriate exercise levels and age-related health needs. I work from home, which allows me to provide constant supervision (if necessary), flexibility and plenty of attention throughout the day. I'm available for dog walking, drop in visits, day care, and boarding. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, medication schedules, and specific routines. My own dogs require precise care plans, so I fully understand how important it is that your pet's instructions are followed exactly. Keeping your pet’s routine as close to how it is when they’re home with you is a priority for me. Following familiar routines helps alleviate their stress, build trust and ease into comfort while they are in my care. My dogs are friendly and accustomed to being around other pets. All of my dogs are intact, so I ask that owner's disclose whether their dogs are intact or in heat prior to booking. This allows me to thoughtfully plan and recommend the most appropriate service - such as visits to your home instead of boarding in mine - so everyone remains safe, comfortable and stress free. Pets in my home are welcome on furniture. I use careful management and positive handling techniques to ensure harmony when pets share space. I'm always mindful of body language and prioritize their safety and comfort. When your pet is in my care, you can expect regular photo updates and communication from arrival to departure so you always feel informed and reassured. I take pride in being attentive, reliable and genuinely invested in your pet's well-being! I work from home full-time, so my schedule is very flexible. I can take 2-3 breaks during the work day to walk your pet if they are staying with me, or stop by your home for potty and walk breaks. If they are staying with me for day care or boarding, I can meet your pet where they are in terms of potty, walk, and play breaks, as well as forced nap times, if necessary. I have several ways to manage the space in my home between pets, to ensure everyone is safe, comfortable and happy. I have 3 crates, baby gates, several pet beds and endless toys. Our yard has a fenced in area to ensure safe potty breaks.

This gives me the opportunity to give your dog plenty of attention and care. As mentioned before I have a playful dachshund that would enjoy hosting your pup and could use some company! “Antonio is an amazing dog walker. He brings treats for my dog, Kapu, and makes sure Kapu takes water breaks during his walks. I’m almost never home when Antonio comes but I assure you that you can trust him 100% with any task. He knows where my house keys are & he leaves everything back in its place and always brings my dog safely back home after every walk. I really trust this guy & He’s always the first person I turn to when I need someone to walk my dog. Also, my dog is pretty big and really needs to get his exercise in, most dog walkers can barely get a mile done in a hour but Antonio pretty much always walks 2 miles with my dog which is AMAZING since my dog can become pretty destructive when he’s home alone & full of energy but luckily he comes home to sleep after his walk! I am looking forward to continuing to work with Antonio! Thanks for everything!”
“Julia was great, she asked all the right questions before arriving for her first walk with my dog She was on time and provided excellent feedback including pictures and a summary of their walk. I’ll definitely be using Julia again in the future!”

“Isabel was wonderful with Daisy! She was very friendly, followed all of my instructions carefully, and took great care of her during their 30 minute walk. Daisy seemed very comfortable and happy with her. I really appreciated the communication as well. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Lisa is a very kind, gentle person who we hired to walk our dog, Rico, 5x (30 min ea walk) during our honeymoon. When we got the first couple of doggie report cards, Lisa had only walked rico 0.5ish miles. I was disappointed because I had hoped a 30 min walk would be closer to 1.5 miles. I spoke with Lisa about this and his next walks were 1 mile. It may be my own fault for not specifying that I wanted the emphasis of her 30min time blocks to be actually walking, vs playing with toys or brushing him, which are perfectly nice things to do but not for such a high energy dog like ours. Overall, our dog is alive and happy. Lisa fed our cat for free and helped coordinate visits/feedings with my family, who was also helping care for the pets. Some of the report cards showed that Lisa had spent 45 mins with Rico while only being payed for the 30, which I thought was very generous.”

About: Since 2010 I learned to care for neighborhood pet friends so I could prove that I can have my own dog. From that I got my own baby boy and have spent 12 lovely years with him, but unfortunately he's out of state with his grandparents now. I miss him so much and would love to transfer all that energy to your loved one :) I'm currently working part time, so I have plenty of free time to spend a couple hours with your baby and take them for a nice, long walk and play with them :) whatever they need, I'd love to do! I care about safety, privacy, cleanliness, and trust. I won't go anywhere/use anything unless asked (and I will check with you before doing anything we didn't talk about, such as if I were to bring treats, I'd make sure you are okay with what I give them before giving it to them). I'll probably be over-communicative, just so I'm thorough and so you know you can trust me with your baby.
“Sincerely grateful to Madison and Joseph for their periodic help with our young, active standard poodle, Cain. It's so reassuring to know he'll be taken care of and given some "him" time on the occasions when we have to travel for the entire day. We love the photos and updates they send, too. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of family pets my entire life and began pet sitting for family, neighbors, and family friends as a teenager. During my first year of college, I started housesitting too, and I’ve since cared for many lovely kitties, bunnies, and dogs, as well as some guinea pigs and chickens. I’m especially good with cats, dogs, bunnies, and chickens, as I’ve had them all myself, but I feel comfortable taking care of most animals as long as I’m given instructions for those I’m not familiar with (for example, horses or reptiles). I’ve driven hours to get injured baby bunnies to wildlife rehab, and I’ve taken in stray cats to get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and eventually adopted. Growing up, I never had fewer than three pets, and right now I have five. They keep my dad company… he claims he isn’t a cat person but still spends every night cuddling with our oldest cat, Magic. Caring for animals brings me a lot of joy. I’ve had people house sit and pet sit for me before, so I know it’s not always easy to relax when you’re wondering how things are going back home. I want every owner I sit for to feel completely at ease and to come home to happy pets and a well-cared-for home. I work remotely and have plenty of time to give pets attention and care. Since I work remotely, I’m lucky to have the flexibility to give pets love and attention while their families are away. Right now, my kitties and bunnies are staying with my dad to keep him company, so I’ve been missing having furry friends around. My name is Kacey, and I’m from Portsmouth, Rhode Island. I work remotely as a freelance editor and pet sitter. I have bachelor’s degrees in Writing and Psychology and plan to start graduate school next year to pursue my master’s in social work. I love traveling and experiencing new places, especially small towns and rural areas, but I haven’t spent much time in the city yet, and I’d really like to. I also really enjoy exploring new places and meeting new animals along the way. I always follow the instructions owners leave so pets stay on their usual routines and feel comfortable while their families are away. Whether I’m staying in a client’s home or stopping by for visits, I make sure every pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I also enjoy cleaning homes (with permission). When owners return, I make sure their homes look as if no one has even stayed there, except that it might be even cleaner. Your home and pets will be safe and well cared for, guaranteed !
“Britney is the best! I am so happy we chose her to walk Ford. She is always transparent and goes above and beyond to make sure we’re kept in the loop! It never feels good to leave your pup at home to go to work, but we are so grateful that Britney could get Ford out and moving, and he loves her!! She genuinely cares, I would recommend her 100x over! 🤗”

“Recently relocated back to the area and needed to find a dog sitter for my 8lbs Chi/Terrier mix. Have always had great experiences with Rover.com, but this time we hit the jackpot!! Perfect family to care for my little guy while I get away for a little me time. Knowing he’s well taken care of and loved.”
“My dogs had a great time judging from the pictures Madison sent. They seemed to really love Madison and her husband. When I finally got them home again, both of my dogs passed out, which means they played hard. I’m satisfied.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience. We needed a last minute sitter and they were responsive and accommodating. Our doc is skittish but they seemed to make him a part of their family while he was with them. And their dogs are so friendly and cute to pets and people alike. Janay and Antonio will be our fort choice pet sitting from now on!”

“Kim took care of my dog Penny over the Christmas holiday and was so great! She sent lots of pictures and Penny came home very happy and very tired! I will definitely recommend Kim to others, you can tell she has a passion for what she does and your dog will be left in great hands!”

“Brian was great with my two dogs. He even brought one if my dogs to my wedding for us and watched her so she could be a part of the ceremony! Dogs seemed comfortable and happy when we picked them up! Will definitely keep brian in mind if we are ever in the area again”
“Flexible drop off and pick up time, her home is perfect for dog sitting. My pup came home very enthusiastic and slept very well. He also enjoyed the interaction with other well behaved dogs. I'm happy to find a dependable sitter nearby for future needs.”

“This was Peach‘s second overnight stay with Chris and Whitney. Once again, our expectations were exceeded. Peach was in great spirits and was well taken care of!”

“Natalia and her husband provided excellent care for Gigi! They were so kind, and provided lots of updates and pictures, which we loved! I wouldn’t hesitate to have Gigi stay with them again (and Archie, of course!!). Thank you so much!! Look forward to seeing you again 🙂”

“Paige took very good care of Lulu, and I'm so happy I found her to board my puppy! Lulu is very comfortable with Paige and her family, and they treat her very well.”

“Mariah is an amazing dog sitter. She sent pics of Bernie relaxing and playing and sent them throughout the week he stayed with her. I was completely relaxed knowing he was in such great care. Thanks again Mariah!”

“Erica is amazing! She watched our 2.5mo old puppy for the weekend and we can tell he had a great time! She sent us pictures, videos and updates the whole weekend and is so so nice. We highly recommend booking with Erica!”

“Birdie had the best time with Chey and her pups! I would highly recommend her for sitting- she communicated, sent great photos, and was so helpful when my flight home got delayed!”

“Celina was wonderful. She made Maui's time with her and her pup Smokey, so great. Big yard, plenty of room to run and snuggle time when inside. She also made it easier to leave Maui with her wonderful personality and openess to let Maui do things on her timetable. She was very good at sharing photos and videos of Maui's time with her. I will use her services whenever I have to step out of town and not have to worry about my little pupper.”

“Amanda, Thank you for taking care of our big pup, Roscoe!! He had a great stay and by the photos sent - he felt 100% at home. We will most definitely rebook the next time! Thanks!!! Sheila”

“Hailey was great! She watched our 2 yr old Charlie girl while we were in Newport for a night. Charlie loved her dog Henri which helped her settle in. Hailey sent lots of pictures and videos. I would definitely book her again!”

About: Mother of two kiddos and one doggy. I just took a break from watching dogs while we welcomed a new pup to our family. He’s a 1 year old Portuguese Water dog and he’s very friendly and loves to play. I’ve had dogs my whole life and love taking care of them. Please reach out with any questions about me. Thank you! Im currently a stay at home mom and have a very flexible schedule. I can work around most time frames and schedules. My days are usually spent at home with my youngest and our pup so another dog or two fit into our schedule perfectly. We have a semi fenced yard in a very quiet neighborhood that is close to a beach. We also have a fully fenced back deck where the dogs can be inside or outside at their leisure. We love to play and we have plenty of time for walks or playing fetch and cuddles.
