“Kim was so amazing and followed instructions well. She watched my cat who I never left with any sitter before and she made me feel extremely comforted leaving my cat lychee with her. She provided detailed rover cards and so many pictures which helps when your away. She was always easy to contact and even came for a meet and greet prior to me leaving lychee with her which was so nice. I would definitely rebook with Kim again she was a perfect pet sitter!”

About: I work from home 5 days a week which will allow your dog to get constant attention and love. Having cared for my own dog I understand how difficult it is to leave with someone else. I currently work from home 5 days a week and will be able to attend to your dogs needs. I can take them out for plenty of potty breaks. Since I work from home your dog will get plenty of attention. I live in a very dog friendly community that is great for walks. I will always keep your dog on a secure leash whenever outdoors.

“Words cannot express my gratitude for Erika not only taking care of my Mr. Chauncey but of my home as well. From our meet and greet all the way to the end of the contract, Erika kept in touch, took care of Mr. Chauncey’s feeding and litter box needs and also took the time to give him a little attention. As an added bonus, I came home to a clean and organized home which made coming back from vacation that much more glorious. I can’t wait to work with her again for all my future pet sitting needs and would recommend her ten times over!!”

“Lisa went out of her way to care for my pets. She braved the snowstorm of 2026 to make her appointments. She spent extra time with the dog, changed the cat litter, and cleaned the rabbit cage. I couldn’t have asked for a better pet nanny.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since birth! I had an English mastiff when I was born and I have another one now. I’ll no stranger to small dogs as I’ve had other dogs like pug’s and labs. I know how to take care of a dog, get them to follow direction, and keep them good company. No dog is a challenge for me and I’m willing to work with any dog. Currently working part time at Victoria’s Secret, about 4-12 hours a week currently, so I am pretty open and flexible and can work around that pretty easily!:) In my own home I feed my cat and dog, brush, clean up after them, and anything else they need. Of course, most of all give the love they need and deserve
“I was impressed with Kim! From day one, the cats bonded with her, which is unusual, especially when meeting someone new. She went above and beyond doing what was asked, including crushing pills, giving them attention if they wanted it and opening the door so they could get some fresh air and sun through the screen. By the third day they were following her around the house. She's light on her feet and very patient with them. To add perspective, when my adult children come home, the cats hide, even though two of the cats grew up with the kids. Before the week was over, I had already booked her for several other times this summer!”

Cassidy was amazing! It was the first time I had to have someone watch my bunny and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She sent photos/videos and updates during her visits. She also kept his playpen very clean considering he loves to make a mess with his hay. I will definitely be asking Cassidy to watch Honey Bun again!

Cait is all that we could have asked for in a cat sitters. Patient , loving and very responsible she takes the time and effort to bond with our cat . She plays with kiki showers her with affection on every visit. Having her around gives us immense peace of mind whenever we are away. We have had her take care of kiki multiple times and will want to have her to sit for us as long as she is available.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Plainfield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
