Pet care experience

Your pets are in good paws with me!

Hi there! I'm Cait 🐾 Your pet’s new favorite human 💕 With nearly 4 years on Rover and a background as a veterinary assistant in an emergency department, I bring both experience and heart to every visit. I care for pets of all kinds—dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, reptiles, and more! Whether they’re playful or shy, cuddly or independent, young or senior, I always adjust my care to match what your pet needs most. ✨ Here’s what you can expect: - A calm, compassionate presence for nervous or sensitive pets - Expert medication administration, including oral, injectable, and topical - Lots of photo updates (because who doesn’t love surprise pet pics?) - Thoughtful, detailed notes after every visit - Fast and friendly communication—you’ll never be left wondering how things are going ( There is also a $20 discount for first-time Rover users (message me for the code!)) Many of my clients have been with me for years, and I take pride in being someone they—and their pets—can truly count on. I'm based in South Plainfield and happy to travel within about 5 miles, including but not limited to Edison, Piscataway, Plainfield, and Westfield. Your pets are family to me, and I always go above and beyond to make sure they're safe, happy, and loved. 💛 Whether you need a reliable drop-in, a fun walk, or an experienced sitter who knows what to do in case of emergency—I’ve got you covered. Let’s chat and set up a meet-and-greet! I can’t wait to meet your fur (or feathered or scaled!) family.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or dropping in for a visit, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience, kindness, and lots of attention to detail. Thanks to my experience as a vet assistant in an emergency department, I’m confident handling medications, monitoring for any signs of distress, and keeping pets calm in new or stressful situations. I always follow your instructions carefully, stick to your pet’s routine, and take time to build trust—especially with shy or nervous animals. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and will always leave things tidy. I make sure pets are safe, secure, and well-loved while you're away, and I’ll keep you updated every step of the way with photos and detailed notes so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands.

Cait is all that we could have asked for in a cat sitters. Patient , loving and very responsible she takes the time and effort to bond with our cat . She plays with kiki showers her with affection on every visit. Having her around gives us immense peace of mind whenever we are away. We have had her take care of kiki multiple times and will want to have her to sit for us as long as she is available.

My 4 cats love Cait! She takes great care of them and it puts our minds at ease knowing she is there. Whenever we need these services we'll always book Cait if she's available.

Cait is the best. She took the time to not only feed and scoop my cats but to play with them and clean up after their messy selves. Two of my four cats usually hide from visitors but came out for Cait and even let her pet them. Plenty of pictures and great notes too. As long as she is available we will use Cait.

Best ,most communicative, thoughtful, and attentive person we’ve ever worked with. Thank you so much to Cait. While we were out one of our heat alarms had low battery and it was freaking our cat out, and Cait made sure he was taken care of and took care of the heat alarm as well.

Cait is as good as they come. Her attention to detail, willingness to help with anything, care to animals, and consistent communication is awesome and appreciated. Her care of our animals allowed us to have a relaxing and enjoyable trip knowing that all was taken care of at home. She is as good as they get! Could not recommend her more

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m currently a full-time student, but I’m off for the summer—so my schedule is wide open and super flexible! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine, and I love being able to spend my days giving animals the attention they deserve. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits most days, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine to keep them comfy and stress-free.

Cait can host up to 5 drop-ins per day
I always want your pet to feel safe and at ease, so the more I know ahead of time, the better! Please let me know about any health conditions, allergies, or medications your pet may have, as well as anything they should avoid—whether it’s certain treats, environments, or activities. It’s also super helpful to know about your pet’s personality and comfort levels. Do they get nervous around other dogs? Prefer calm over playtime? Have any quirks, fears, or routines that help them feel secure? I’m happy to adapt to whatever they need—I just ask that you keep me in the loop so I can give them the best care possible.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
