“Karlie has been super patient with our boys who can be a handful. She is punctual and communicated well with us while we were gone. We look forward to having her help us out again in the future ❤️”

“Heather was amazing! She took such good care of our two big dogs and sent us plenty of pictures and updates. It really set our minds at ease to have a competant adult who loves dogs here in our home. I will definitely be booking again.”

“Sydney was great! Very friendly and willing to do all the tiny things our little guys needed! She sent us pictures and kept us updated on how they were doing as this was their first time with a sitter. We would highly recommend her for anyone and hope to use her services again. I'd rate higher if I could.”

About: I’ve worked in animal healthcare as a veterinary technician for nine years and have extensive experience caring for very young and chaotic to geriatric, medically complex, and behaviorally challenging pets. I’m comfortable administering medications in all forms and following detailed care plans! I work currently in veterinary medicine but am able to care for your pets after work, on days off during the week, weekends and holidays. I have many years of experience with care for multiple species and all the intricacies that come with them! I am able to continue your pet's routine care while you are away. From staying in home, walks/enrichment/exercise, feedings, medications of all routes, and more. Whatever they need to be happy and healthy until you are home!
About: I love animals. I used to have three Shar Peis, which can be fairly temperamental, but I think I was their favorite walker. I've walked dogs with Wag for years and have cared for dogs ranging from tiny pups to large Anatolian Shepherds. I work from home most days, so having a dog or two in the house is not an issue. And, i don't mind sitting at other folks' homes, if the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. I've recently fenced our backyard with a 6 foot privacy fence, so that visiting dogs will be secure during off-leash play. I live in a quiet neighborhood and there is a large park down the street, so walks can be quite lengthy, if the dog is up for it. I have a few chickens in a coop / run in the backyard. The app asks about my pets but then when I said ‘yes’ only allowed me to pick either ‘dog’ or ‘cat’ - and I couldn’t list birds so I couldn’t update it. 😕. Apparently Rover thinks there are only two kinds of animals??? Visits to the backyard are always supervised to keep everyone safe.
“Grace is a pro! From the start, we could tell Grace had her stuff together and was very experienced and professional. She was great with our crazy boxer puppy, and she gave him all the love and care we needed him to get while we were out for the weekend. We are already booking her up for future house sitting needs! Thank you again, Grace!”

“This is the second time we’ve used Jordyn to watch our dog in our home and she did great with her! We can tell Polly is comfortable with her and loves having her stay here. Jordyn keeps us updated and leaves the house nice and clean. Will definitely use her again for future trips!”

“Scott is a reliable and loving dog and house sitter. Going above and beyond, he even helped with some household tasks while I was away! More importantly, he cared for my dogs as if they were his own, he even was able to win over the more difficult of the two dogs. He was able to patiently manage their more difficult qualities, like leash aggressiveness, and trash picking. I received daily updates and photos, putting me at ease. I confidently recommend Scott, and will be a repeat customer.”

“We can not thank Ann enough for watching our 13 week old puppy, Gary, this past week! She kept us updated the whole trip and sent many pictures! She went above and beyond to make sure our puppy was safe while we were gone. We were able to enjoy our vacation so much more knowing that our puppy was in such great hands. We met with Ann twice prior to our vacation and I was so relieved that I found her once we started talking about safety and care instructions. I could tell that Gary had a great time with Ann and we will definitely reach back out in the future when we have our next trip planned. If you have an upcoming trip, 100% book with Ann.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for my senior dog, which has equipped me with the skills to provide thoughtful and attentive care. I’m well-versed in administering medication, ensuring timely potty breaks, and taking leisurely walks that cater to an older pet’s needs. In addition to my dog, I have cared for my cat, managing her feeding schedule, grooming her with gentle brushing, and providing a nurturing environment. My hands-on experience with both dogs and cats ensures that I understand their unique needs and can provide them with the love and attention they deserve My schedule is open to the unique needs of each animal! I am currently an incoming 1L at Northern Illinois University College of Law. I am relatively free and able to be flexible. I believe that pet care is different based on the needs of the animal and the owner; what makes the owner most comfortable for their animals' schedule/care needs.
“Excellent!!! Our pups loved having Kimberly here and I have a very good feeling they were well loved!! She communicated daily, sent pictures and updates which was very nice - definitely recommend and will use again!”
“Anthony was not only prompt, but also came for a meet and greet prior to his scheduled stay. He was very respectful of my home and very in tune with my dog needs and I truly appreciated his dedication to making my dog feel very special while I was away.”
About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years. I consistently watch and/or walk 5 dogs and have experience with small and midsize pets. I currently work full-time from home and have a flexible schedule. With enough notice, I can schedule around routines and walks easily. Weekends are typically flexible as well. Currently, there is no dog living in the home so it would just be your pet(s). We allow them on furniture but adhere to whatever makes them more comfortable (ie. if they prefer crates vs. free roam, we are happy to follow any guidelines.) Smoke-free home. I work from home and will be present with them all day. We do not have a yard but I typically walk 3-4x a day.
“Caroline was wonderful! She was super friendly from the start and handled our pittie, who can be a bit protective of our home, with so much patience and confidence. Luna warmed up to her right away, which says a lot! We felt totally at ease knowing she was in great hands. Would absolutely recommend Caroline for house/dog sitting and walks. We’ll definitely book with her again! 🐾”

“Lauriel is very responsible with Archie. She is communicative, prompt, respectful and always available. She respects my home, and genuinely cares for Archie. She sends me pictures and updates and checks in on him on days she is not with him. She is quick to respond and always willing to help me out!”

“Gail was amazing with our 3 dogs! She was very communicative and sent a bunch of pictures. She was patient and gentle with our very fearful and nervous dog. We came back to a house that was cleaner and looked better than before we left. She even had dinner waiting for us which was such a sweet surprise after a long day of travel. And of course, our pups were happy as could be when we got home! We’ll definitely use Gail again.”

Pingree Grove pet parents share their Rover experiences
Vanessa did a nice job taking care of our dogs and a cat who isn't always nice. She even cared for 2 guinea pigs and a snake while we were gone. Next time I will make sure to write down additional care info for the animals not in the app so it is easier for her to remember the care for them. We were pleased when we came to our home and loved that she meet and took time interacting with our pets before our trip.

Sydney was great! Very friendly and willing to do all the tiny things our little guys needed! She sent us pictures and kept us updated on how they were doing as this was their first time with a sitter. We would highly recommend her for anyone and hope to use her services again. I'd rate higher if I could.
