About: I have been caring for animals since i can remember. I take pride in friends and family counting on me to take care of their loved ones when they cannot be there themselves. My family has always been the ones to bring in stray animals and care for them unconditionally. I will happily adjust to whatever the individual animal needs and wants because i understand not all pets are the same! I am very flexible. “Heather was great! We needed help last minute and Heather came in clutch. She took great care of Cooper and made him feel comfortable. Would definitely book again in the future.”

About: I have fostered, rescued, and trained dogs my whole life, with now 6+ of those years here on and off Rover! I only board with one family at a time, so your animals will never be competing for attention with a house full of unfamiliar dogs. I recently said goodbye to my own boxer, Sage, and I look forward to spending all my energy spoiling and loving on your babies until my heart is ready for my own again. Thank you so much for considering me as a potential safe space for your pets while you are away 💕 I work from home full-time so your dog(s) will always have me as a companion! I am extremely flexible to adjust to your animals wants, needs, and unique habits so they feel as at-ease and comfortable as possible! For safety, dogs must be comfortable being crated for a short period (2–3 hours at most) if I need to step out for an errand. I have multiple crate sizes and cameras so I can check on them while I’m away. Please note: First time stays will require an in-person meet and greet prior to your booking to ensure that my home and services are the correct fit for your needs.

About: I've taken care of dogs and had dogs of my own since I was about 5 years old. I have also had dogs in a variety of environments from city living to farm living. I've trained all my dogs from puppy to adulthood and have extensive volunteer experience at a range of animal shelters. As an adult, neighbors and family consistently rely on me to watch over their dogs whenever needed. I'm currently working from home and only leave during the week to run short errands so your dog will get plenty of time with me. I also take time out of my day to play with my own dogs so of course any visiting dog would get the same care and attention. I have quite the large yard that is fenced on one side, however I do have a running line with a spring for safety that runs the whole length of the yard allowing both my dogs and yours to get plenty of playing time and exercise. The two pets I own can be crated but they are both very friendly and enjoy having extra playmates.
About: I have two years of veterinary assistant experience as well as the experience of owning my own pets. I have assisted in pre-and post operative care as well as recovery. I also have experience with day to day activities such as administering medications, sublax injections, feeding schedules, and exercise. I am currently self employed and I own 5 pets! My schedule is VERY flexible and allows for adequate animal care required for walks or boarding! Providing a safe and reliable environment is my baseline for working with your furbabies. Pets are family and I understand the love and compassion we have for our furry friends.
“I left my yorkie with Bowie today. I received photos and videos very regularly which was amazing because my dog gets separation anxiety. It was very nice to see him relaxing in the space with other dogs. The drop off and pickup was both quick and easy. Bowie even allowed me to come by and meet his dog before I scheduled. He was very flexible with me and his place was easy to find which was a plus.”

“Lisa is the best! My 4 month old pup was in great hands at her house. It’s clear how much she loves dogs, and Arya was treated like one of her own. We got pictures and videos all day. I loved getting video of Arya meeting her dogs and seeing how she was warming up to them! It was comforting knowing she was doing well at a new place ☺️ We will be back!!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
