About: Hi! I have taken care of dogs for the past 36 years. Mostly my own, but I have also taken care of family, friends and neighborhood dogs as well. I have experience with senior dogs, giving meds and the day to day care they need. I currently work a full-time job during the week. I work from home Monday and Tuesday and work In-Office Wednesday thru Friday with weekends off. My schedule is open in the evenings and completely open on the weekends. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door as well. Our furbabies have crossed over the rainbow bridge recently so we don’t have friends for them to play with but they will receive lots of love, snuggles and belly rubs. They are welcome on our furniture and bed, but if your pups are crate trained we can do that as well for you. I can give meds if needed as well.
“Brianna does a fantastic job watching our animals 5/5 stars! You can’t go wrong with booking her for your animal needs. Very caring, diligent and respectful. Thank you Brianna!”

“Macy was a huge help checking in on my cats while I was gone. It was great to get regular updates on them and photos and I know they appreciated getting some attention and treats!”

“Dolly loves having Rebekah over. Rebekah is great with Dolly and is always communicating with me to make sure there isn’t anything else she could do while there. Will be using her for now on.”

“Emma helped us out of a very tight spot! We had a very last minute day trip and she was able to take care of our pup. She was very communicative and I will be using her in the future!”

“Christy was amazing--she went above and beyond! Was always on time and sent us pictures so we could see that Copper was surviving without us! Thank you so much for taking care of our baby! Will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life, from 6 weeks old to 16 years old. Taking care of animals brings my life joy. I am a teacher so my animal watching schedule works around my teaching schedule. That means mornings and evenings are free as well as weekends and school breaks. I am willing and ready to feed, pet, provide medications, clean litter boxes, and meet any other needs your furry friend may have while I am there.
“Chelsea is such a sweetheart and did a great job with our pups. She fed them on time, and took lots of photos which is always important. I highly recommend her watching your pups!”
About: I absolutely love animals, and I have years of experience caring for all kinds. From hermit crabs to dogs to ferrets, I watch them all! I’m willing to care for any disabled animals as well- they need love too. I’m willing to take on any challenges so that you can have peace of mind. I am free most afternoons and evenings for hours at a time, so I would be more than willing to care for the pets during those times. Depending on the owner’s home and routine for the animals, that’s how I will tend the animals. I don’t want to disrupt any kind of routine they may have and cause stress.
About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was a child. I can clean litter boxes, provide fresh water and food, and make sure your furbaby receives the love it deserves while you’re away! I currently work part time and am in school a few days a week, so I have plenty of time to check in on your animals and play with them while also making sure they have everything that they need! I can easily crate dogs or cats and can make sure that they have all of the necessary items with them while I am there so they can enjoy playing or are drinking and eating properly.
About: I’ve been surrounded by cats and dogs my entire life and truly consider them part of the family. I have an English Bulldog named Elvis and a fluffy cat named Zeppelin, so I understand the love, attention, and care pets need every day. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m currently in school and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week. I have plenty of time to give your pets attention, playtime, and care. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays, and I’ll always make sure your pet feels comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I create a safe, calm environment and always prioritize your pet’s comfort and routine. I can follow specific instructions and crate your pet if needed, and I treat every animal like my own.
“Rachael has been our go to sitter for a couple times now and she’s AMAZING! Cannot recommend someone enough to trust with your animals. Shes very caring and detail oriented and will show up on time no excuses. We will intimidate to use her services for all our needs.”

About: I have been a veterinary assistant for the last 5 years so rest assured I know how to take care of your furry friends. I know that can look like cleaning up an accident or giving them any medication they may need, or simply feeding them dinner and giving them lovings. I love animals of all kinds but my personal favorites are a 2 year beagle named Lexi and a 13 year old golden retriever named Morgan. I would love to help you and your fur babies with whatever they may need. I currently work Mon-Fri 10 AM to 6:30PM. I have open availability on the weekends. I would not mind checking on your friends early in the morning or late at night/in the evenings. The weekends are open availability. If your dog looks at you and asks to go to a doggy water park let me know and I'd be happy to accompany them. In my own home I kennel my dogs when I am gone during the day. When I get home they roam free in the house. Where they have access to their water, their overflowing basket of toys, and their fancy dog bed(s). They usually just share the one in the living room because they are adorable and love to snuggle
About: I’m a nurse who is looking to fill my days off. I know animals are family & I look forward to walking and caring for your fur babies. I work a flexible remote job so I have lots of time to care for your pets in the way that works best for your schedule! In the client’s home I will do more than the basic necessities of food, water, and bathroom. Depending on the specific client & their pet(s), I will play with the animal, go on walks, take them to dog park, reinforce tricks and training, etc. I want you to feel confident that your pets are in safe hands and are well cared for in your absence.
“Morgan did such an amazing job taking care of our pup! She went above and beyond when she had a little accident inside the house. I looked forward to getting updates with pictures. We will definitely be reaching out again and trusting her with our dog. Thank you Morgan!!!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Piedmont. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
