“Sarah was a perfect fit for our girls. We’ve only had our two cats for 5 months so I was worried to leave them for a few days. Knowing she had her own cats made me confident she’d be patient and caring with our cats who are still adjusting to their new home. She sent pictures and gave detailed feedback after each visit. She also answered any additional questions I had. I was able to enjoy my vacation with peace of mind that our cats were taken care of.”

“Brianna does a fantastic job watching our animals 5/5 stars! You can’t go wrong with booking her for your animal needs. Very caring, diligent and respectful. Thank you Brianna!”

“Jordan was an absolute gem! So easy to talk to, communication was always on a timely manner and helped ease my worries. Our girls (two cats) were absolutely smitten with her and seemed very well cared for while we were away for an extended period. Absolutely spoiled by Jordan, we couldn't be any happy with their care and the attention Jordan brought to our home.”

“Becky was great with our cats while we were out of town. It put us at ease knowing she’d be checking on them twice a day. She was in constant contact with us and sent photos. I would definitely call her for our next trip.”

“Abreaunna is a TREASURE! She rescued us out of a bind last minute on a Holiday weekend no less. I cannot thank her enough, recommend her enough, and I can’t wait to rebook her again and again for our fur babies. Thank you, again!”

“Chelsea was super amazing and loving dog watcher. She took great care of my babies while I was away on vacation. She took great and super fun and cute photos. Highly recommend. Will def use again next time I leave for days at a time!”

About: I began pet sitting for a family member in high school who had a pet bird. Care included: feeding providing fresh water, and socializing. I care for my own pets (cats) who have unique personalities and care needs as a result. Currently a college student, my schedule is relatively flexible. My availability calendar will be regularly updated to ensure accuracy of when I am free to care for your pet. When caring for pets (my own or other people’s), I am attentive in noting nutritional needs, and behaviors, tracking any unusual actions to ensure the health of the animal. I will also carry out the everyday chores associated with a pet’s care: fresh food and water, cleaning the litter box, outside time (if needed/allowed), and play/socializing.
“Emma helped us out of a very tight spot! We had a very last minute day trip and she was able to take care of our pup. She was very communicative and I will be using her in the future!”

“Syvana was great! She came by for daily play visits while we were out of town, and we could tell our cat was well cared for. She cleaned her litterbox also. We’ll rebook with her again and definitely recommend her!”

“Skylar was amazing in taking care of my kitty and my snake. Very detailed cards at the end of each visit, with wonderful pictures. I know they got the best care under his watch. Will be booking again for the future!”

About: I have taken care of my Chihuahua-Yorkie mix dog named Chica since I was around 9-10 years old. My parents wanted to get rid of her but I wanted to keep her, which they allowed me to do as long as I took care of her. I have fed, helped potty-trained, bathed, and played with her since then. When I was 17 I got my first dog-sitting job while a family I knew was on vacation for a week. Since then I have taken care of a few different family’s animals while they were gone according to the instructions left for me. I make sure to feed them as early/late as they needed, let them use the bathroom, I slept at their house, and spent enough time with them so that the animal(s) would be happy. I have dog-sat for both small and large dogs. I am currently a full-time student at SNU, but I am able to visit to feed/take care of the animal before my 9 a.m. classes everyday and I will be able to check on them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after 12 p.m. (after my classes are over and I have eaten. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I can go check on them after 1:30-2 (again, after my classes are over and I have eaten). I am an intern at Lake Overholser first church of the Nazarene, so I am busy on Wednesdays from 4:30-8ish and Sundays from 9-12ish. I am able to check on the animal(s) before and after, though! I have no pets because I live in a dorm, but I have dog-sat for dogs that need to be crated or not crated, and they have all had a fenced in yard. I have sat outside and waited for the dog to use the bathroom and also just let them use the bathroom outside when needed. I once even dog-sat for a small dog that I gave a bone every night that cleaned their teeth and said “Go brush your teeth!” in order for her to go to her crate and go to bed. I can follow any schedule.

“Kimberly was excellent! I booked her in a rush and she definitely made me feel comfortable watching my cats. Her profile showed she had a good relationship with cats. She made sure to ask all the care questions. Took pictures of all my cats and any requests I had asked for. From the pictures my cats felt comfortable with her !”

About: I have been around animals since I was born. I myself now have cats and dogs. I have your run of the mill pound kitty as well as a maine coon. I also have 2 giant dogs! I have a mastiff and a cane corso. I have experience caring for large and small animals. I have also had some experience in taking care of more exotic animals in the past. I do work a full time job with 8 days on and 6 days off from 10:45am-8:45pm. If you have a trip within my 6 days off I’m your girl or if you work weird hours like me I can drop in really early or make a late night run!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Warr Acres
This is the 3rd time that I have used Laura. I was so excited that she was available for me again. All 3 times have been exceptional. All 4 of my cats adore her, even the '0le scardy cat warmed up to her immediately. She was always on time. She took the cutest pictures, several I want to have printed. She left the house clean and neat every day and removed the trash daily as well. On her last day she even vacuumed which she was't expected to do. Oh she watered all of my plants as well. She is my favorite and I will always check her availability first. She is very professional and you can't go wrong choosing her.

Cassidy provided drop in visits for our 2 dogs! She sent pictures daily and provided updates to us on what they did while she was over. She is going to be house/pet sitting for us soon and we feel at ease because she is reliable, responsible and good to our pets. Thanks Cassidy!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
