A perfect home away from home!Oklahoma City, OK

Animals are an important factor to our family. From hamsters to geckos to dogs, we have housed all kinds of animals in need. Becoming a pet sitter allows helping a pet's stay at an unknown place a little less stressful and a whole lot more fun. We have a long history with all sized dogs, both our own and those of others. We currently own six dogs, a hyper, loving Husky mix, a laid-back, gentle Boxer mix, two caring, energetic Shih Tzu mixes, a hyperactive, loving Chihuahua mix, and a sassy, but sweet, Pomeranian mix. Our pets are an integral part of our family, and we would love to give the same love to your pets! We offer additional bath services listed above as well as birthday cakes and treats, in partner with OpaLuna Barkery.

Boarding is a 24 hour period (for example: drop off at 8 am = pick up at 8 am the following day). If you would like to extend the boarding period, please let us know to set up a daycare reservation.

No pickups or drop-offs on Holidays to allow us to have some family time (with the pups too) :)

We require all of our guests to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordatella vaccine, as well as having an effective method of flea/tick prevention. We highly encourage all dogs to be on heartworm prevention. We also require all puppies under 6 months old to have all of their necessary boosters according to their age.

I have been doing rover full time for the past 3 years. Meet and greets are optional. I am home nearly 24/7 especially when I have pups over (my schedule is flexible I can move things around easily). I do go out and run errands but I’m not usually gone for long. When I am on errands my mom or boyfriend watches them for me when they can. With parents’ permission, I like to take the pups to dog friendly places like dog parks and for walks when the weather permits and there are not to many pups over.I try to keep active dogs active and lazy dogs lazy. Most days consist of loads of playing, rub downs, treats, mental stimulation (for the willing ones), and cuddles.I do allow long stays I can keep your pup for however long you are needing me to do.

I want to thank all my pup parents that have trusted me to take care of their babies while they are away, at work, or just needed a break.

While on rover I have gotten the opportunity to experience so many different dog breeds I wouldn’t have been able to experience without rover and I am loving every single second of it. All I want to do is spoil and love on every pup I meet. I have three amazing silly pup’s lady (16 y/o pit bull) and Luke (12 y/o Pekingese chihuahua and River (11 month pit bull husky lab mix). They are extremely chill and get along well with other dogs. My older sister and I co parent them so Lady and Luke are not always at home with me but River is. I have been pet sitting since I was 9 and I am 21 now. Over the years I have learned that our pups have their own unique language and they are always communicating with us it’s important to understand what they are saying to make the pups feel safe and confident. I am a over protective dog mom which makes me a firm believer in taking out time researching everything I need to know about dogs (which I do often). I take pride in going above and beyond for all my wolf pack members. I do everything I can to make sure both you and your pup is comfortable. I monitor feedings (to make sure they are eating since sometimes in new places pups won’t eat), potty times (to make sure they are regular and to make sure they aren’t pooping out anything funky), I notice and notify immediately if I think there is anything out of the ordinary. I know one of the hardest parts about being a pup parent is having to leave them which Is why I want you and your pup to join my wolf pack to help pup parents have one less worry. Sometimes it takes a village or in this case a wolf pack.

As pack master I love caring for pups of all shapes, sizes, ages, breeds, and temperaments (except aggression towards humans). I ensure the comfort of your pup. All pups have full access of my home, couches, and beds. Lastly, I want to spoil your pup rotten. I like giving every pup my full attention. Not a single strand of fur will be missing off your baby’s body.

I want to know

• Is your baby “intact”

• Does your pup have an alpha personality?

• Does your pup get along with others?

• Does your pup like dominating others?

• Is your pup super high energy?

• Does your pup like to get into things?

• Does your pup eat objects they are not supposed to?

• Does your pup have any allergies?

• Is your pup known to be a ninja escape artist?

• Is your pup nocturnal and likes to roam at night?

• Is your pup crate trained (I do accept untrained)?

• Does your pup not like being picked up physically?

• Does your pup like to destroy things?

• Anything I need to keep a close eye on (mentally, physically, etc.)

• I like to get owners cell phone numbers and emergency contacts for just in case (if you are comfortable enough giving that information)

What is their play style like

What does your pup need during the stay with me?

• the only must have is food the rest is optional

• snacks (in case they don’t like what I have)

• toys (in case they don’t like what I have)

• their bed (something familiar to sleep on or sniff)

Special skills

• Killer massages

• I have experience with administering medications

• I have elder dog experience

• Dog treat making

• Bathing/ grooming

I have special needs experience aswell

Thanks again for being apart or considering being a part of my wolf pack every guest is family and we hope to see you soon. I’m always coming up with new ideas and ways to make my retreat better for guests so feel free to send any questions my way.

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE PROFILE AND ALL OF MY FAQ'S BEFORE SENDING ME A MEET AND GREET REQUEST OR BOOKING. Please click "Read more" below !

I look forward to caring for your pets. I have had two jobs working with dogs and other small animals. I worked for a dog resort in Franklin, TN. There, I took care of dogs by walking, playing, feeding and cleaning up after them. I also worked for a pet company in Grand Junction, CO. There, I went into peoples' homes and took care of their animals or I brought them into mine. Since then I have volunteered at a Humane Society. And most recently volunteered with Panhandle Pet Savers by bringing foster dogs into my home until they found a home. I am a former flight attendant so I have passed a government 10 year plus background check. I lost my best friend in December, he was 14 years old. I understand how important taking care of your pets is. My dog was my everything. If you choose to let me take care of your animals they will be protected and loved. I can also care for your dogs in my home so they will get my full love and attention as I have no other animals.

Dear Future Rover Guests,

I hope to be able to watch your dog/dogs. Here is some additional information to help us both out. I like to try and do a meet and greet at my house, not only so you can get to know me, but so your dog/dogs feel more comfortable when they come back for their vacay. I try to only watch dogs that are friendly with other dogs, if your dog/dogs do not get along with others I may still agree to watch them at a higher rate since I would not be able to take on any other clients.

Other higher rates that may apply is during holidays, I charge an extra $10 per dog, the day before, the day of and the day after any major holiday, and for holiday weekends (some holidays have a minimum four night stay required).

If your dog/dogs are under one year of age or not ONE HUNDRED percent potty trained an extra $25 fee will apply (whether staying one night or one week).

If your dog is not spayed or neutered an extra $10 per day will be added. The reason for this is that the dogs that are not fixed tend to mark in the house which adds up to a lot of time and money and energy cleaning it up.

Please feel free to bring their beds, toys and plenty of treats. Just remember that other dogs are here sharing their toys and they may not come back in one piece. I provide some treats if you forget, just don't want your little one to feel left out if everyone gets a treat and they don't. Also please remember to tell me if they have any allergies, I try to keep everyone separate at meal times, but food sharing has been known to happen. Also if your dog normally free feeds that might not happen here if other dogs are around wanting their food, so you might want to bring something special to put in their food so they will eat at the same time as everyone else. I do not provide dog food. Please feel free to ask me any questions I may not have covered.

-As of June 1, 2017 I require your last name, address and a picture of your dogs shot records before the meet and greet.

PLEASE READ ALL OF MY FAQ's below before sending me a meet and greet request !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FAQ's

Your calendar says you are available, that means you will watch my dog(s)?

-Maybe. A lot of times I am already tentatively booked, I could just be waiting on a meet and greet or someone to confirm a quote I have already sent. So feel free to send me a message and ask my availability.

Your calendar shows you are unavailable. What does that mean?

-That means I am either out of town or I am booked watching dogs that do not get along with other dogs so I can not take on any clients at that time. Or I am already fully booked and I am just waiting on the clients to pay for booking.

Your calendar shows that you are booked. Will you still have room for my dog(s)?

-Maybe. Rover likes the average host to take on no more than three dogs. Since I do not have any pets of my own, I however can take on more.

-Also lets say I have three dogs leaving on a certain day. The dogs may be leaving earlier in the day and it will still say I am booked when in fact I do not have any dogs booked for that night.

-I may also be going to a clients home to feed their dogs and it will say I'm booked when in fact I do have room at my house for your dog(s).

-With that being said sometimes I am booked and do not have room. The best way to find out is just send me a message and ask.

What does it mean when it says you offer 24/7 care?

-That means that caring for dogs is my full time job. I do not work anywhere else. I do leave the house of course to run errands, go out to dinner or care for other dogs at their home. I try never to be gone for more than two hours at a time.

Where is my dog(s) kept when you are not at home? Do you have kennels?

-If your dog is 100% potty trained and nondestructive they have the run of the house. If not I will leave them in my gated kitchen. I do not have any kennels here, if your dog is used to them please bring yours.

If my dog is shy or scared of other dogs will you keep them separate?

-Your dogs safety and happiness is my number one concern. If I am taking on multiple clients I only take on dogs that are nonaggressive and friendly toward other dogs. With that being said, if your little (or big) dog is scared and feels more comfortable hiding out and being separate from the other dogs I will make sure that happens.

How often do the dogs get to go outside and potty and play?

-I have a dog door that I leave open when ever I am home, I close it when I leave the house and at night. I also have a screened in front porch with a lock and a side door that leads to a carport (which is perfect when its raining). It also leads the the backyard for potty and play time.

Where will my dogs be sleeping?

-I like them to sleep where ever they are used to sleeping when they are at their home. So just let me know if they prefer the couch, tile floor, their dog bed, or mine (if there's room)! If they are not 100% potty trained they will have to sleep in the kitchen.

My dog(s) are aggressive towards other dogs or too scared to be around other dogs. Will you still watch them?

-If you book far enough in advance there is a good chance I can. However your rate will be a lot higher since I will not be able to take on any other clients. Sometimes the best and cheaper solution for that is for me to come to your house twice a day. Just message me for those quotes.

Do you take the dogs for walks?

-No, not usually. In a perfect world we would have sunny southern California weather year round and our neighborhood lined with sidewalks. As all Oklahoman's know we do not. Your dog will get plenty of exercise running and playing with the other dogs.

Do you charge extra for large dogs?

-No, absolutely not. I believe that is unfair.

Can I send you a booking request right now?

-NO, If you send me a booking request before we have spoken or done a meet and greet odds are I will not just accept it. Please send me a meet and greet request first or if it's last minute or some other reason you are not around to do one, then please message me details or leave me your number so I can find out more about your dogs needs and your circumstances.

VERY IMPORTANT-

I'm ready to send you a meet and greet request. What information do you need when I contact you for the first time?

-Make sure you tell me the dates you are needing booked (I may already be fully booked). Please tell me if your dog(s) are housebroken and if friendly with other dogs when you contact me for the first time.

-Also make sure that you have already filled out all of their information that Rover requires. Name, age, shot records, etc.

Are there any additional fees that I need to know about?

-Normal pick up/drop off hours are

9 a.m.-7 p.m.

-I charge early drop off and late pick up fees. Drop off between 6-7 a.m. there will be a $50 fee. Drop off between 7-9 a.m. there will be a $25 fee.

-Pick up between 7-9 p.m. there will be a $10 fee. Pick up 9-11 p.m. there will be a $15 fee.

-All extra fees are per dog, not per client

-Always ask first if I am available to do your early or late pick up/drop off.

-I do not allow evening drop offs, I need your dog here early enough to have plenty of play time so they will sleep well their first night. (If for some reason I allow an evening drop off to occur there will be a late fee of $30 per dog).

Experienced House/Pet Sitters!Oklahoma City, OK

My partner and I grew up in dog-loving households, so it's only natural that we made it our (side) business (and pleasure!) to care of dogs of all shapes and sizes! We have 2 of our own - Wallace and Critter - both are very small, extremely chill and lazy dogs. They get along great with other dogs and love it when we have furry visitors!

We live in a pet-friendly, walkable neighborhood called Glenbrook, on the outskirts of Nichols Hills. We have an outdoor area that is perfect for taking care of business, sunbathing and enjoying outside time. We have also been known to take your pup to lunch with us on the patio at a nearby restaurant! We love to send pictures of all the fun your pup is having! Your dog(s) will be included in or 2-3 walks per day with our doggos!

We spend most of our time at home, but when we aren't home, they're separated in their own areas for safety and comfort, if necessary. We do have two kennels which we use when necessary, or if you prefer for us to always use it. We are very experienced in caring for elderly and special-needs dogs, including dogs that need shots and/or medication.

We are also very experienced House Sitters, with multiple repeat clients, including experience with celebrity and high-profile clients. We understand the importance of the safety and security of your home and pets and will offer first-class service in helping you rest assured that everything is perfect while you enjoy your time away.

Your best friend(s) will be spoiled and pampered!

Home full-time & Large fenced yardCentral Oklahoma City, Warr Acres, OK

Hi, my name is Karen and I'm 60 years old. My dog Kiki is a Boston terrier and is 11 years old. I have had a dog most of my life and have babysat dogs for my family and friends along the way. Our home is comfortable and is well heated and cooled. Dogs are free to roam inside and can lay down almost anywhere they want to rest. I have a double-car garage and a very large and roomy fenced-in back yard. I have room for pet crates/beds and don't mind if you bring one. Please bring enough dog food for their stay, a toy/blanket that your pet likes (to help calm them), and their food bowls if possible.

The backyard has a stockade fence on 2 sides & chain-length fence. The gate is blocked. I have a concrete patio in my backyard and a side walkway into my garage. I can walk your dog in the back yard or they can play on their own.

My dog Kiki is very mellow and quiet. She gets along with other dogs and people just fine and she doesn't bite or nip.

I will text and send you pictures of your dog while you are gone so you can see how your pet is doing.

I want your dog to have a relaxing, stress-free experience while you are away and I want you to have comfort in knowing that your pet will be lovingly taken care of.

Your Pup's Home Away From HomeOklahoma City, OK

Hello!

I have grown up around dogs all shapes and sizes all my life. I have been involved with Oklahoma dog rescues for almost 10 years specializing in brachycephalic breed as well as behavioral dogs.

I signed up for Rover because I know how difficult it is for me to leave my dogs when I go out of town. I offer a worry-free “staycation” for your pup!

I am less than 5 blocks from where I work and I always go home during lunch to let the dogs out.

I have a fully fenced yard in a wonderful neighborhood, however I do not leave the dogs outside unattended. I also have extra rooms in the house in case your pup needs some extra space.

Please let me know if you have any questions!!

I love the joy which dogs spreadYukon, OK

My husband and I have owned various different dogs most of our lives. I grew up having a dog and always enjoyed caring for her and taking her for walks. My husband grew up with several dogs and is well experienced in caring for and training dogs, and even a few cats. We now enjoy having a dog of our own. We love spending time training him and being able to play with him. Our dog, Cooper, brings a lot of energy and enjoyment to our home. Cooper loves having company as much as we do, and enjoys playing with the dogs who come to stay with us. My husband and I would love to look after your pet and giving him the love and attention that we give our own dog.

Video Chat - Empty NestersOklahoma City, OK

My husband and I, a writer and production editor in educational publishing, office in our home, so we are home most of the time to give attention to and care for dogs. We share our Skype and Apple Face Time with our dogs and their owners during their stay. We can walk the dogs in our neighborhood park, and we have a large, grassy, tick- and flea-free backyard to play yard games with the dogs so that they receive daily exercise. We also allow the dogs to be free in the house with us without being caged. We encourage snuggling beside us on the sofa for a nap while we read or work.

We have been dog owners most of our lives, and so we are accustomed to and welcome doggie love. Our motto is to care for them, spoil them, and send them home to their owners—just like grandchildren.

About this sitter:

We both office in our home, so we are available at all times to provide comfort, love and attention to fur babies who stay with us.

Why I love dog sitting

We charge $43 per night per dog. We both have had dogs as pets all our lives. We prefer that all our guests be at least three years old. Our pets have all passed away from old age and other natural causes, and now we prefer to take care of other people's pets.

About my yard

The yard is considered large by most, and it is fenced and dog friendly. The terrain is flat.

My experience administering medication

Oral only. However, if medication is related to the dog's temperament or emotional state, we prefer not to board the dog. We cannot accept dogs that are incontinent.
