“Jordan was great for my dog Ava! I had an event in OKC and she was understanding with travel times! Ava was nervous at first but quickly warmed up to her dogs! She had a great time! Thank you Jordan!”

“Nikki gave our energetic baby a perfect weekend. He was loved, played with, fed, and bathroomed like he was her own pet. She went beyond expextations and would do the same for any pet she cared for.”

“I was very thankful that Bowie took my last-minute booking that included three days of daycare with pick up and drop off! My life was so much easier as I worked the local craft show. I got videos every hour or two to know that ladybug was doing good.”

“Lisa is the best! My 4 month old pup was in great hands at her house. It’s clear how much she loves dogs, and Arya was treated like one of her own. We got pictures and videos all day. I loved getting video of Arya meeting her dogs and seeing how she was warming up to them! It was comforting knowing she was doing well at a new place ☺️ We will be back!!”

“Martin and Shirley are great! They are both so sweet and have taken such great care of my pup during doggy day care! I was thrilled when they asked to know so much information about my dog, from his feeding schedule, allergies, vaccines. I felt very comfortable knowing they take the time to learn everything about all their pups!”

“Kerwin once again did an excellent job taking care of Obeo. She kept me up to date on everything that he was doing and how he was getting along. Abeo seems to be very comfortable w/ her and this puts me at ease.”

“My friend and I were kind of cautious when decided to try Rover for her dog but those worries went away as soon as we met Karen. She is such a nice, sweet lady and as soon as we saw how she interacted with Moose, we new he would be in good hands. When we went to pick him up, he was in good spirits and happy to see us, yet still went to Karen to say goodbye and was still hanging out with his little buddy Maggie. She dealt with his Beagle barking and still seemed fond of him lol it was a good experience all around and we would definitely use Karen again if we are ever in town!”
“Very flexible with pick up and drop off. Very knowledgeable of dogs and behavior. I was really nervous leaving my little guy with a stranger for the first time but after meeting her and talking for a little bit I could tell she knew what she was doing and my little guy would be safe. Leonard had an absolute blast and came home tired which is always a bonus! Highly recommend!”

“We were passing through town and needed to leave our dog with a sitter for a day so we could check out some of the local attractions. Darren was flexible, communicative, and instantly trustworthy. He sent some pics and updates, and we knew our pup was in good hands while we explored OKC. I wouldn't hesitate to re-book or recommend him!”
“Amy and Scott are extremely accommodating and is a pleasure to work with. I felt safe and comfortable knowing that my dog Knox will be well taken care of from the moment we met. I would highly recommend them to supply all the love and care for anyone’s loved ones.”

“I can’t express how amazing Hope and Nathaniel are to our six month old GSP. He gets so excited about going to doggie daycare because he gets to play with all his friends. We don’t have to worry about him because Nope and Nathaniel treat him like one of their own.”

“Hadlee was a life saver for me when a different dog sitter cancelled on me. She accepted to watch my dog last minute and I was worried because he's a rescue who is often scared of new people. Soon as he met her he went straight to her and I was so happy that I had found Hadlee on Rover. She sent me texts that he was ok and relaxed and even sent a picture which I didn't even expect because I only left him there a little over 3 hours. She was so nice to me even when I worried about my dogs extreme separation anxiety and texted a bit more than I needed to after dropping him off Hadlee never complained she had a calming effect on him and ultimately somewhat on me to. I definitely recommend her and when I need a sitter for my dog again I will definitely use her if she is available . She is patient, kind, calm and really loves dogs. I only spent a couple of minutes dropping off and picking up my dog but his instant reaction to her told me she was the right person to watch him. I have nothing but good, positive things to say and I know next time I need a sitter I will be far more at ease knowing it will be Hadlee”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
