“Kristen did an amazing job caring for our cat twice a day for two weeks, including administering multiple medications! She was dependable and thoughtful. She reached out to us with any questions or concerns she had before and during our trip. She sent photos from every visit. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our cat was safe with her. I would absolutely book her again in the future!”

“Eliza did a great job watching our high energy German shepherd and our cat. They both loved Eliza and warmed right up to her. Eliza also gave us extra videos of our dog that had a slight injury just so we could see her progress. It was a relief to know that our babies were being taken care of while we were away.”

“I’m so grateful for Brandy who took excellent care of my pup. I’m use to being home all day with my dog, and knowing Brandy was giving her the best care and attention eased my mind. When I arrived home my sweet pup was so relaxed and happy. Brandy went above and beyond, best service ever!”

“Dillon was great, and very responsive! I was nervous about using Rover for the first time but after this experience I feel comfortable knowing I have someone trustworthy to look after my cat :)”

“Jordan has been wonderful about watching my ducks. It’s a somewhat unusual pet sitting request, but he adapted to it right away and always sends the cutest pictures. I feel confident leaving my duckies knowing Jordan is watching them.”

“Jennifer was just awesome! Very accommodating of my dog's special needs and no complaints about them! My dogs were healthy, happy, watered, fed and walked as instructed and she genuinely cares about the dogs she sits for! Happy to strongly recommend her & will absolutely use her again!”
“Lexy was able to get close (physically) to my very shy calico cat during her first visit. I don't believe she was able to touch her but just getting within 2 feet sometimes takes a long time. Lexy is very gentle and takes her time which is very much needed. Of course food and water and clean-up was handled well. I recommend Lexy of course, just don't keep her busy when I need her- ha!”

“Andrea took great care of my cats while I was away over night. She was very professional and clearly cares about animals and making sure that their people feel comfortable and reassured. She kept me updated, and I wasn’t worried for a moment while I was gone.”

“Exceeded my expectations in every way. Sarah truly Loves and understands dogs, including puppies. Her effervescent nature and positive outlook have made her a joyful addition to our family. We love her. Trust is hard to find.”

About: I have over 14 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My background includes lifelong pet ownership, kennel work, veterinary shadowing, and professional pet sitting through Rover. I am comfortable caring for energetic puppies, senior pets, dogs requiring medications (including oral and injectable medications), and pets with special routines or needs. My goal is to provide a calm, structured home where every pet feels safe and comfortable. I understand that every dog is different—some love to play, while others simply want a quiet place to relax. I tailor each stay to your pet's personality, energy level, and routine whenever possible. Safety is one of my highest priorities. I carefully supervise introductions, monitor body language and stress signals, and use separate spaces, baby gates, and crates (when appropriate or requested) to ensure every pet has a positive experience. I believe thoughtful planning and honest communication create the best boarding experience for both pets and their owners. My husband Andrew and I work together to provide attentive care, which means there are two experienced adults available for walks, playtime, supervised introductions, potty breaks, medication administration, and lots of affection. I don't believe every dog is the right fit for every environment—and that's okay. My goal is to ensure every booking is the right fit so every pet can have the safest, happiest, and least stressful experience possible. Whether your pet is staying overnight, spending the day while you're exploring Southern Oregon, or simply needs a safe place to relax while you're out to dinner or attending an event, I strive to treat every guest like a member of our own family. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to maintain it while they're in my care. Whether your pet enjoys active play, leisurely walks, or simply lounging nearby, I tailor each day to their individual personality and energy level. I currently work part-time outside the home, but my schedule is intentionally arranged around pet care. Throughout the day, your pet will receive regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment, exercise, plenty of affection, and opportunities to rest. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is doing well. Your pet's safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I provide care in a calm, home environment with a fully fenced backyard, baby gates for flexible separation when needed, and thoughtful introductions between dogs. I believe every pet deserves an environment that matches their personality. Some dogs enjoy having a playmate, while others are happiest relaxing on their own—and that's perfectly okay. Our resident pets include: • Benny, our friendly German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, who enjoys meeting new dogs but understands that not every guest wants to play. • Cricket, our tiny 6-pound Chihuahua mix, who generally prefers to quietly observe from a distance. Every once in a while he'll decide another dog is his new best friend—and if that happens, they've definitely won the lottery! Because every pet is different, I supervise interactions closely and adjust the environment to help everyone feel comfortable. My goal is never to force interactions, but to create a positive, low-stress experience for every guest. For first-time boarding and daycare guests—particularly larger dogs or adolescent puppies—I may recommend a Meet & Greet beforehand to ensure my home is the best fit for everyone.
“Kay is a wonderful communicator and took amazing care of our cat for 5 days. I feel very fortunate to have found someone who is so caring for our animal and our home. She is open to requests and will leave you and your furry friend in wonderful shape. Don’t hesitate to book her now!”

“Got back in town from a week long trip to find a couple happy dogs and clean house. I'm so thankful for Ali taking care of my babies. Always was on time always got picture updates I didn't worry about them as much because of it. Highly recommend booking with him. Super nice guy, will be hiring him again! Thanks Ali!”

“My cats loved Joannie! The two of them usually run and hide but they came out for her and played with her too. Joannie did a great job and cared for my cats as if they were hers. I already rebooked!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Phoenix. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
