While we have crate-trained our dogs when they first came to our home, typically once they show that they can use the doggie door to go outside, we have given them free roam of the house and yard except for bedrooms. We keep the crate available when a dog wants to isolate themselves or they need a timeout. We are happy to give quiet time to the dogs in the middle of the afternoon especially after a snack and/or a walk. Our home has a doggie door that can accommodate a large dog and that gives the dogs freedom to go outside on their own. Finally, we have boarded and watched over our children’s dogs for many years when we lived in CA. We would be happy to board and walk your dog and give you the peace of mind that we have enough experience and temperament to insure your dog has a good time at our house. My wife and I are home full time as we are both retired. While we enjoy our walks and our gym time, we have plenty of time to watch over and play with your dog. We have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs (age 7 & 10) to keep your fur baby company. About: I have been house sitting for coworkers and family since I was 15 years old, and I adore it! I love all types of pets, and have taken care of both cats and dogs. I also raised a 10 week old puppy who is 5 years old now, and he’s very well behaved with no bad behaviors. I am a full time university student, but when spending time taking care of someone’s pet, I do take care to disclose my class schedule. I would do best for pets that are okay being alone for 5-7 hours at a time, as I have some back-to-back classes that I can’t miss. Whether your pet is staying overnight, spending the day while you're exploring Southern Oregon, or simply needs a safe place to relax while you're out to dinner or attending an event, I strive to treat every guest like a member of our own family. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to maintain it while they're in my care. Whether your pet enjoys active play, leisurely walks, or simply lounging nearby, I tailor each day to their individual personality and energy level. I currently work part-time outside the home, but my schedule is intentionally arranged around pet care. Throughout the day, your pet will receive regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment, exercise, plenty of affection, and opportunities to rest. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is doing well. Your pet's safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I provide care in a calm, home environment with a fully fenced backyard, baby gates for flexible separation when needed, and thoughtful introductions between dogs. I believe every pet deserves an environment that matches their personality. Some dogs enjoy having a playmate, while others are happiest relaxing on their own—and that's perfectly okay. Our resident pets include: • Benny, our friendly German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, who enjoys meeting new dogs but understands that not every guest wants to play. • Cricket, our tiny 6-pound Chihuahua mix, who generally prefers to quietly observe from a distance. Every once in a while he'll decide another dog is his new best friend—and if that happens, they've definitely won the lottery! Because every pet is different, I supervise interactions closely and adjust the environment to help everyone feel comfortable. My goal is never to force interactions, but to create a positive, low-stress experience for every guest. For first-time boarding and daycare guests—particularly larger dogs or adolescent puppies—I may recommend a Meet & Greet beforehand to ensure my home is the best fit for everyone.

About: I have done pet sitting for over 5 years which include boarding, housesitting and dog walking. I have also cared for cats, chickens, exotic birds and baby goats (bottle fed). I have cared for elderly pets, seizure pets and have no problem with giving medications. ****If you are requesting housesitting, I do have a small easy-going chill dog that likes to come with me if you are ok with that. He gets along with all dogs and cats alike. I do request that we have a meet and greet prior so as to ensure you are comfortable with me in your home and with your pets. I work remotely during the day. So I would be with your pet(s) for the majority of the day. They would only be left alone a few hours on occasion for errands/appointments and such. So they would get plenty of potty breaks, love and attention while you are away. I will care for you pet(s) per your instructions. While at my house they will be allowed on furniture and my bed for extra cuddle time. They will be given plenty of walks and playtime!

I have reared and cared for fourteen puppies all at the same time! This includes special-needs puppies who required consistent attention and hand feeding. I have sat for all different sorts of breeds, sizes, and animals! Including small animals like rats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. I have a deep love and compassion for animals and also have a lot of experience in dog training, meaning I am more than happy to keep up with any regimen or structure your friend needs. In terms of my writing career, when and how I do it is completely flexible meaning I am happy to hear your pet's routine and mold my work around them. I will care for your pets with strict adherence to how you'd like me to care for them. In terms of my personal pet-parenting style, I am the sort who sees my animals as family and they're allowed to lie on the couches and beds. Your pets health and diet are very important to me, so I will always take as much info or instruction as you wish to give me. We have two dogs and a cat at home, all of which are friendly towards other animals, so I will ask that your pet plays nice, with them, as well! Animals who are tolerant/non-aggressive but need space are more than welcome to remain in a quiet room unbothered by our furry family members. We have a loft area where they can be completely separated if need be! They will, however, cross paths with the other dogs and cat when walked or let out in the fenced yard.

I have been a long time pet owner myself and recently my fur babies passed away. I am looking to earn a little extra income as a senior while enjoying the company of animals.
