“It's kind of a big deal to leave your pet with a stranger. I am so happy to report that I now have a trusted person to give love to my dog when I have to go away for work. Anika took care of my golden retriever, Baron, over the weekend while I was out of town. Baron and I met her before our trip and I could tell that my dog was immediately at ease in her home. The house is very clean and cute and Anika and her family are warm and welcoming. There is a fenced in front yard with grass for Baron to play and get some exercise. I missed my pup so Anika even texted pictures over the weekend when she took him for walks. I will happily use Anika again the next time I need day or night care for Baron! Definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. There has not been a time in my life where my family or myself did not have a pet. I have dog sat for many years as well for family! I currently have a golden retriever and she’s my adventure buddy! I have a full time job but able to do visits starting after 2:30. In the summers I have Friday off. I do commute to work so I am able to stop in for a visit or dog walking all the way up to grants pass area! I will make sure my attention is towards your pets! About: My background in animal care extends well beyond traditional pet sitting. I completed extensive veterinary technology education while working full-time in a large, multi-department veterinary hospital, gaining years of hands-on experience with animals ranging from healthy puppies and routine-care patients to senior, hospitalized, post-op, and medically complex dogs. My subsequent transition into “human” healthcare has further strengthened the attention to detail and standard of care that I bring to every animal entrusted to me. My veterinary experience provided a comprehensive foundation in safe animal handling, canine behavior/temperament recognition, medication administration, medical-condition awareness, post-op care, and the identification of subtle changes that may indicate pain, anxiety, or physical distress. I am comfortable recognizing changes in behavior and overall presentation that may warrant closer observation or communication with a pet-parent. I am comfortable caring for dogs across all ages, sizes, and levels of need, including puppies, senior dogs, animals requiring additional behavioral consideration, and pets with established medical or mobility needs. My experience includes oral and injectable medication administration, incision and wound care, mobility assistance, post-operative monitoring, and incontinence-related care. Whether providing a walk, drop-in visit, extended sitting, or boarding, I approach pet care with the same principles that have guided my professional healthcare experience: attentive observation, appropriate precautions, consistency, clear communication, and respect for individualized care requirements. My goal is not simply to supervise a pet while an owner is away, but to provide knowledgeable, responsible care while maintaining the routine, safety, and level of attention each individual animal requires. I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and am currently preparing for my board examinations, which allows me a highly flexible schedule and the ability to be home much of the time. At present, I have considerable availability for walks, drop-in visits, boarding, and other pet-care needs, and I am able to adjust my study schedule around confirmed bookings. Once I begin working in the hospital, my anticipated schedule will consist of three scheduled shifts per week, leaving the remaining four days largely open and predictable for pet care. I do not have children or other routinely changing obligations that would interfere with confirmed bookings. Any known limitations to my availability will always be communicated in advance, and with clear communication regarding your pet’s schedule and needs, I am currently able to accommodate a wide range of scheduling requests. Safety and attentive supervision are priorities in our home. Between my husband and me, our dogs are never left home without one of us present, and I maintain that same standard of supervision for pets entrusted to my care. I would not leave a pet unattended while I am responsible for their care. We have a fully fenced backyard and maintain a clean, organized, and uncluttered home and outdoor environment. With a five-month-old puppy of our own, our home is consistently kept pet-safe, with unsafe or inappropriate items secured and inaccessible. I am also careful and deliberate when managing interactions between animals and never assume unfamiliar dogs can simply be left together unsupervised. Introductions, outdoor access, feeding, and shared spaces are appropriately supervised, with the safety and comfort of each individual pet remaining the priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain the same standard of supervision, respect for their environment, and attention to safety.

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life and have always had at least one dog or cat in our home, as well as others often like fish and reptiles. I even lived and worked on a goat farm for a while and milked and cared for the goats. I'm an avid hiker and am happy to walk your dog for any length preferred on trail or road. In my other work I have over 15 years of experience as a healer (massage therapy and energy work) and meditation/yoga instructor and bring the calm this field has taught me to pet care. I'm used to hearing pet people tell me that their pets are so calm around me. I seek to form a connection based on trust and understanding with your pet. I am, without a doubt, a cat lady having had cats in my life since the age of 5. I currently have a sweet and sensitive Calico, who has lived with me for the past 11 years. She is a finicky eater and often deals with digestive issues, so I've had plenty of experience with various food regimes and giving supplements. We also have a sweet, playful, young male cat in our home (my daughter's cat) and a beloved bearded dragon. We recently welcomed a Shiba Inu into our family and she is such a joy in our home. I offer pet care as a side gig to my other work and love any opportunity to connect with your furry friends and other pets. I offer pet care part-time in addition to other work I do. I'm happy to walk dogs most weekdays/weekends between 8 am-3 pm and I can do pet check-in's most weekdays and some weekends and holidays with a few days notice. I am sometimes available for overnight pet stays in your home with ample prior notice. When coming to your home, I follow what usual routines you share with me for your pet and treat your home with utmost respect and care. If you have a preferred route to take your dog on a walk or favorite dog park, I'm happy to go with whatever your norm is and will make your dog most comfortable.

About: I've been an animal lover since birth. I've had a variety of pets growing up and am open minded and caring towards all animals. I've had dogs, cats, bird, fish, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. I am currently a stay at home parent looking for part time work to fill my day while my kiddos are in school. I am able to care for your pets as needed with my flexible schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have a dedicated dog run area that is also separately fenced. I have two Australian Shepherds to keep your pup company or I can keep them all separate. About: I’ve been a dog owner from a young age. I currently have a cat. I have experience with senior dogs and outside dogs, big dogs and little dogs. Love them all! I’m free every weekday evening and can make time on the weekends. I also work from home so if I stay over with your furry friend, I am available to them at all times! I am always very mindful of my surroundings to make sure pets are always safe. I have lots of experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets in general. I also have experience with senior and special needs pups so I can help with any situation!
