“Lisa was very informative while we were away. We had a rescue kitty inside, 3 ferals that are scheduled to be TNR’d outside, and my 15 year old cockatiel. This was the first vacation I went on that I didn’t have to take my cockatiel with us or worry about raccoons taking off with the feral cat feeder. She made sure after automatic feeders malfunctioned all cats were fed. There was a thunderstorm that came through one afternoon and she even came back a second time to check on our house and animals afterwards which was very thoughtful. About: I've been an animal lover since birth. I've had a variety of pets growing up and am open minded and caring towards all animals. I've had dogs, cats, bird, fish, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. I've worked at an animal hospital as well as taken animal science classes in college. I've also volunteered at a zoo. I have a lot of experience under my belt and I'd take care of your pet, your way. I am currently a stay at home parent looking for part time work to fill my day while my kiddos are in school. I am able to care for your pets as needed with my flexible schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have a dedicated dog run area that is also separately fenced. I have two Australian Shepherds to keep your pup company or I can keep them all separate. I also have the space to crate train if needed.

I’ve cared for dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities and routines, from easygoing pets who mostly want company to animals who need medications, frequent potty breaks, walks, or a little more patience. I follow the routine you leave for me, keep you updated with pictures, and try to make things feel as normal as possible for your pets while you’re gone. Being around pets throughout my life, along with having an aunt who trains therapy dogs, has given me a strong appreciation for animal behavior, patience, consistency, and positive interactions. I love getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I have experience with cats as well and understand that every pet has different routines, boundaries, and preferences. About: I grew up around all kinds of animals and even had up to 7 dogs at one point in my childhood home! I’ve always loved having pets and I even used to pet sit for neighbors frequently. I’m currently not working so I’m able to pet sit Monday-Sunday! I’m open to following specific routines that you have for your pet. I’m also available to do overnights if needed :) I do have a fenced in yard where I can supervise your pet. I currently have no personal pets of my own. I love to maintain their schedule as I know it could be hard for your pet to be in a new environment.

About: My background in animal care extends well beyond traditional pet sitting. I completed extensive veterinary technology education while working full-time in a large, multi-department veterinary hospital, gaining years of hands-on experience with animals ranging from healthy puppies and routine-care patients to senior, hospitalized, post-op, and medically complex dogs. My subsequent transition into “human” healthcare has further strengthened the attention to detail and standard of care that I bring to every animal entrusted to me. My veterinary experience provided a comprehensive foundation in safe animal handling, canine behavior/temperament recognition, medication administration, medical-condition awareness, post-op care, and the identification of subtle changes that may indicate pain, anxiety, or physical distress. I am comfortable recognizing changes in behavior and overall presentation that may warrant closer observation or communication with a pet-parent. I am comfortable caring for dogs across all ages, sizes, and levels of need, including puppies, senior dogs, animals requiring additional behavioral consideration, and pets with established medical or mobility needs. My experience includes oral and injectable medication administration, incision and wound care, mobility assistance, post-operative monitoring, and incontinence-related care. Whether providing a walk, drop-in visit, extended sitting, or boarding, I approach pet care with the same principles that have guided my professional healthcare experience: attentive observation, appropriate precautions, consistency, clear communication, and respect for individualized care requirements. My goal is not simply to supervise a pet while an owner is away, but to provide knowledgeable, responsible care while maintaining the routine, safety, and level of attention each individual animal requires. I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and am currently preparing for my board examinations, which allows me a highly flexible schedule and the ability to be home much of the time. At present, I have considerable availability for walks, drop-in visits, boarding, and other pet-care needs, and I am able to adjust my study schedule around confirmed bookings. Once I begin working in the hospital, my anticipated schedule will consist of three scheduled shifts per week, leaving the remaining four days largely open and predictable for pet care. I do not have children or other routinely changing obligations that would interfere with confirmed bookings. Any known limitations to my availability will always be communicated in advance, and with clear communication regarding your pet’s schedule and needs, I am currently able to accommodate a wide range of scheduling requests. Safety and attentive supervision are priorities in our home. Between my husband and me, our dogs are never left home without one of us present, and I maintain that same standard of supervision for pets entrusted to my care. I would not leave a pet unattended while I am responsible for their care. We have a fully fenced backyard and maintain a clean, organized, and uncluttered home and outdoor environment. With a five-month-old puppy of our own, our home is consistently kept pet-safe, with unsafe or inappropriate items secured and inaccessible. I am also careful and deliberate when managing interactions between animals and never assume unfamiliar dogs can simply be left together unsupervised. Introductions, outdoor access, feeding, and shared spaces are appropriately supervised, with the safety and comfort of each individual pet remaining the priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain the same standard of supervision, respect for their environment, and attention to safety.

About: Hi there! I’m Dorothea and have raised horses, dogs, cats, chickens, song birds and hedgehogs. Animals are my life. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and we go for early morning forest walks followed by a grooming session every day. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe. Our resident pets are two Aussies - Luna and Pixie. We also have chickens inside another fenced-in area. I love taking pictures of our furry friends, so you will get plenty of snap shots and fun “pup-dates” while you’re away. When your pet is with us, they’ll be safe, happy, and treated like family. If they have long hair, they will wear a "Shed Defender" suit to keep the grass seeds out of their fur. Can’t wait to meet your furry or feathered friend! My husband and I are home all day. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and the dogs and I go for early morning forest walks followed by grooming sessions every day if their fur collected grass seeds. If you bring us your bird or any other little critter, we will keep it safe and sound in the house, we have a spare room were dogs are not allowed. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe while outside by themselves. If it is too warm, cold or wet, the dogs will be inside in the afternoon after the grooming. They are usually ready for a nap after that anyway. In the evening they all come with us to tuck the chickens into their coops, when it is dusk or dark they wear lighted collars. We have lots of cozy places for the dogs to sleep and sit. In winter the den with the fireplace is a favorite spot and in summer the hardwood and stone floors are popular. If you bring us a puppy, we will keep it in a crate overnight in our bedroom. Also we will keep it on a leash during walks or at least have a long rope trailing behind.
