About: Hi there! I’m Dorothea and have raised horses, dogs, cats, chickens, song birds and hedgehogs. Animals are my life. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and we go for early morning forest walks followed by a grooming session every day. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe. Our resident pets are two Aussies - Luna and Pixie. We also have chickens inside another fenced-in area. I love taking pictures of our furry friends, so you will get plenty of snap shots and fun “pup-dates” while you’re away. When your pet is with us, they’ll be safe, happy, and treated like family. If they have long hair, they will wear a "Shed Defender" suit to keep the grass seeds out of their fur. Can’t wait to meet your furry or feathered friend! My husband and I are home all day. We have 40 acres adjacent to 2000 acres of BLM and the dogs and I go for early morning forest walks followed by grooming sessions every day if their fur collected grass seeds. If you bring us your bird or any other little critter, we will keep it safe and sound in the house, we have a spare room were dogs are not allowed. Four acres around the house are fenced to keep the dogs safe while outside by themselves. If it is too warm, cold or wet, the dogs will be inside in the afternoon after the grooming. They are usually ready for a nap after that anyway. In the evening they all come with us to tuck the chickens into their coops, when it is dusk or dark they wear lighted collars. We have lots of cozy places for the dogs to sleep and sit. In winter the den with the fireplace is a favorite spot and in summer the hardwood and stone floors are popular. If you bring us a puppy, we will keep it in a crate overnight in our bedroom. Also we will keep it on a leash during walks or at least have a long rope trailing behind.

About: In addition to being a dog owner for 26 years, I have also worked with the Humane Society socializing dogs to humans and other dogs. One of my more noticeable cases was a dog who was not very outgoing. She was very shy. After all the work I put in, and a couple days, she was sitting in my lap in the world me to pet her, somethings no other volunteer had acheived. I have owned dogs all my life. I just had to say goodbye to my 18 year old chihuahua so I am very experienced in senior care. I’m very flexible any time, but after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on the weekends are when I will be free no matter what. I work 8-5 , but can work around my schedule to provide day walks or check in around noon Earning a dog’s trust is very important. I know to sit on the floor, allow them to walk up to me and offer a hand if they would like me to pet them. I love dogs so I play fetch, take them on walks, and give them unlimited pets
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I’ve owned and cared for animals of all types ranging from reptiles to large livestock. I have experience training puppies as well as working on smaller things like simple manners and attentiveness. I’ve have past job history working at a vet based boarding facility and am comfortable and knowledgeable on give meds and handling dogs when away from their people. I am available for drop in visits and dog walking 7 days a week! Monday through Friday I am available after 1pm, weekends I’m open all day for your furry friends! I treat all clients animals as if they were my own. They are cared for very well while clients are gone away from the home. Lots of love, play time, and just hanging out. If wanted by clients, dogs are regularly walked and exercised (I’m a hiker so am happy to take them to do outdoor hikes as well) along with regular care as if their parents never even left. I try to keep a relatively realistic schedule and life for animals while parents are gone so that they don’t have much stress when parents are away.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
