“Daniela is so sweet and kind. My dog got along great with her sweet doggy (and other visiting pals) and he had lots of fun at her house for a week! Daniela sent so many wonderful photos and updates and I was so at ease knowing he got such great care - so much love and attention!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and each one has had a huge piece of my heart. I will treat your dog like they are a part of my family while they are in my care. I am home most of the time. I typically feed around 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, and this can be adjusted to meet your dogs needs. I do have crates if needed. I also have a large size doggie door that leads into a fenced back yard. I close up the house by 9:00pm after we have had the last potty break for the night. I have a cat, so your dog must be cat friendly. I also have a large male dog that is sweet and gets along with other dogs. Dogs are allowed on my furniture. They can either sleep in a crate, or sleep on their own bed, in my bedroom with me and my dog. I offer a daily walk in my neighborhood, weather permitting. Your dog will be the only dog I host. I only host one family at a time so that I can give your dog and my dog the best experience. Your furry family member will feel happy, safe and secure in my home. I encourage meet and greats, so please contact me to schedule.😊
“I had never boarded my older dog before and was anxious about the whole situation, but Julianne & Ragen made the whole process start to finish so much more comfortable than I had expected! Being able to communicate before, during and after our vacation really helped me to feel confident that our sweet Kiwi was happy, healthy and well taken care of. We will definitely reach out to Julianne & Ragen next time we need a friend for our sweet girl!”

“Leaving my boy with Jennifer was like leaving him with family. He was loved and cared for. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her. Worth every penny.”

“Garrett and Monica were AMAZING with our Koe! They were so interactive with us, keeping our minds at ease for our entire trip and their pup Zeus was such a great play date and we will be using them again!”

“Dorothea and Richard took wonderful care of my elder dog. Their place is great for dogs and their dogs are very friendly. I will be asking them to take care of my dog again.”

About: I've been an animal lover since birth. I've had a variety of pets growing up and am open minded and caring towards all animals. I've had dogs, cats, bird, fish, lizards, snakes, and hamsters. I've worked at an animal hospital as well as taken animal science classes in college. I've also volunteered at a zoo. I have a lot of experience under my belt and I'd take care of your pet, your way. I am currently a stay at home parent looking for part time work to fill my day while my kiddos are in school. I am able to care for your pets as needed with my flexible schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have a dedicated dog run area that is also separately fenced. I have two Australian Shepherds to keep your pup company or I can keep them all separate. I also have the space to crate train if needed.
“Linda's set up is wonderful and I believe Winston did well with her. I especially appreciate her willingness to accept a 2 night booking at the last minute when my scheduled Rover sitter cancelled. I do think my dog does better with fewer dogs present - she had her own plus another pup and mine at the same time and I think Winston was a bit overwhelmed.”

“Best sitter I’ve had through Rover for our beloved Rottie, who is the family’s fur baby! She provided updates and pictures throughout our vacay which we absolutely loved! Excellent communication & she treated our Rottie as if it were her own.”

About: I’m a caring, responsible, and dependable dog sitter who treats every dog like part of the family. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m happy to provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, cuddles, and companionship. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Weekends are my best days to provide the most care. I do work a part time job and will be able get back to your pup in the afternoon. I like to do walks in the morning before work and if they are dogs that like a good walk id like to bring them. I have a large fenced home where your dog can run, play and even dip in a kiddie doggy pool. I do have 2 dogs at home that are extremely friendly and would love to have play dates.

“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our Elwood. We truly appreciated how reliable, attentive, and communicative you were throughout his stay. Knowing Elwood was comfortable, happy, and so well cared for gave us tremendous peace of mind. The photos and videos you sent were especially reassuring and made it clear that he was happy and settling in beautifully. We would absolutely trust you to care for Elwood again and wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and caring sitter.”

“Shelby is the best pet sitter! she kept me updated throughout the entire boarding. She took great care of my puppy. This is the second time she has watched him and she is the only one I trust my dog with. She’s extremely understanding and caring! She made sure he was fed at his scheduled time and also made sure he had daily playtime!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner from a young age. I currently have a cat. I have experience with senior dogs and outside dogs, big dogs and little dogs. Love them all! I’m free every weekday evening and can make time on the weekends. I also work from home so if I stay over with your furry friend, I am available to them at all times! I am always very mindful of my surroundings to make sure pets are always safe. I have lots of experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets in general. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dardanelles home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dardanelles.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dardanelles sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
