About: We had a family dog from the time I was a toddler. The first dog was a Doberman, then the next family dog was a Springer Spaniel. My family also volunteered as puppy raisers with Guide Dogs for the Blind and we raised 5 guide dog puppies. One flunked out of guide dog school and came back to live with us until she was 13. Later, I volunteered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and helped puppy raisers with their new puppies, and weekly helped teach the classes from 12 weeks when the puppies first arrive to their puppy raiser homes, up to 18 months when they leave their puppy raisers the puppies get trained before they go back in for their formal under harness training for their blind person. All 9 years of work there we used positive reinforcement with the dogs and helped the puppy raisers. I also attended some classes with Guiding Eyes on dog body language. I also have my own rescue dog who I adopted during that time and he has had positive reinforcement training since I adopted him. I now assist owners with training or behavioral needs they may have for their dogs to make the owners and the dogs happier and more peaceful living. I also have added a list of other services, from boarding in my home, to house sitting in yours, dog walking, drop in visits, or daycare in my house. I am working from home and available basically all the time, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and over weekends as well. Days: M, T, W, T, F, S, S I don’t have kids or cats. About: I recently had two rescue heeler mixes. We competed in agility, and did herding, barn hunt, and parkour. I loved to hike, walk, run, and be active with my dogs. Now that they're gone, I have an open space in my heart for time with yours. I walk and run or hike several days out of the week. Because I live up a steep gravel driveway, I prefer to meet in town or at your place to take your dog for a walk or run. But if they need to come to my place for sitting, I have a fenced yard with some agility equipment. I also have a dog door, to let them have free access to my .5 acre fenced yard. I do have a cat, so if your dog comes to my place, it will have to get along with her.
